Unbelivable location with fantastic view of the great mountains! Amazing rooms with lots of historical and rural splenderness! A heartfelt compliment to the owners! Well worth both your time and money, really something to recommend!

After a long days riding on our bikes we made it up the gravel road to Lokken Fjellgard. Greeted with amazing views, a warm smile and warm grass roof covered log cabins. First a friendly welcome then a very fast wifi and credit card payment (nice surprise in such a remote setting). The cabin was cosy and warm, great views from the parking towards Rondane. But careful, the cabin had low doors, tall people beware. Parking is on the other side of the road and cleaning/linen are extras, but that's true for...

We stayed at Lokken Fjellgard this summer and we stayed in the wrong cabin! I'm 1.82 m tall but I was unable to stand up in the living area, there was a leakage in the bathroom which caused a continuous flood but when entering the accommodation the owner told us that this was caused due to the cleaning of our...

we really enjoyed the rustic and historic stay at the mtn farm..Mehran was a wonderful host and very knowledgable about everything we had questions about. He is also a great cook and prepared us a great dinner. we were very impressed with his entire farm and the workmanship he has put into it.

Lokken Fjellgard in Folldsal was founded in 1753 and was restored to the old style from 1994 to 2000. The farm is uniquely located at 800 meters above sea level with a magnificient panoramic view of the Rondane nationalpark. The Folldal mine was startet in 1748 and mine workers manages to keep a living with the income from the mines and working the small farm land, of which Lokken Fjellgard was one. Lokken Fjellgard has four cabins available for daily rental. In addition to the "Eldhuset", "Stabbor", "Karboligen" and "Rondane hytte" at the farm,we have also a "mountaincabin", which is located at 950 meters above sea level in Kakeldalen. This cabin is avilible for long period rent. We also have the "Meloybua" in Einunndalen. You have posibility to use farm as basecamp. We have in the farm our own restaurant where you can taste delicate homemade meals. On the farm we have several kinds of animals. ... more   less
