Had a lovely weekend recently here. Could not have been made to feel more welcome. Very relaxed laid back staff attentive without being over the top. Food lovely used bar both nights. Travelled with 2 other couples & we all had dogs. Ours was still a puppy at 5 months but was welcomed & fussed over so we were not...

We tried to have dinner here the previous night ( Wednesday!) but foolishly hadn't booked. The place was completely packed and the wait was estimated at over an hour, that was too late for us so we went elsewhere. The next day we returned for Lunch which was well cooked and reasonably priced, it is no surprise that the locals...

We hadn't booked but the accommodated us and our pooch Poppy in the bar area which was nice and cosy with a real old pub feel. I had the venison which cut through like butter and the best venison I've had. The rest of the family's meals were lovely too. Fish & chips, gnocchi in a pesto sauce & T...

Friendly, warm atmosphere. Good location for the Castle & Symonds Yat. Dog friendly but didn't smell of dogs.Room had tea & Coffee making facilities. Shower room not so good - in fact pretty awful - needs a complete refit to remove grouting. Food was excellent at both evening meal and breakfast with a wide variety of lovely home made produce.

Very comfortable room. The location is quiet and there is beautiful scenery within walking distance. Excellent food in the restaurant and great service from our hosts, Ayrton and Andy. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel on our way to Wales on holiday. After a long day travelling we arrived to a great welcome from the gentleman at the front desk who carried both our cases and showed us straight to our room. He told us a table had automatically been reserved for us in the restaurant as most people request...

We booked and paid for a Premium Double which states bed size 151-180cm wide and ours was just a small, very old and uncomfortable double. We had a very bad nights sleep due to the springs in the bed being lumpy. We also thought that the food was over priced. It is a shame as this is such an unusual...

As late arrivals we were very pleased to be served as it was just 2pm, their closing time. Ordered a burger and a ham, egg, and chips. The food was reasonably prompt and the only reason it took any time was due to a couple before us ordering ham and then sending it back as they meant to order sandwiches....

Cannot recommend the Hostelrie at Goodrich highly enough. Welcoming and friendly atmosphere, lovely food and extremely comfortable room. Also very dog friendly. Great base from which to explore the surrounding countryside, walk by the river Wye or visit well known beauty spots in and around the area.
