We booked for Sunday lunch here whilst staying near by. On entering it was warm and friendly with really attentive staff. The gin selection at the bar was wonderful and it was then followed by a delicious Sunday roast, with the biggest Yorkshire puds I've ever seen. Would highly recommend!

The staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. It's a very pretty place with lovely rooms, and dog friendly. In fact, sometimes there was a lovely Parsons Jack Russell holding the fort in reception. The food was good, but the bar needs a bit of a make over, to provide more comfy seats, and it would have been nice if a...

My partner and I were staying locally and when looking for somewhere to go for an evening meal we came across the Hostelrie. This place was a delight in every way! The staff were friendly and the food was beyond our expectations. I'm usually not a fan of fish but my partner had the tuna and it was so nice!...

We stayed here just one night to save ourselves a long drive home in the dark. Fabulous little random find on the internet that takes dogs. It was the coldest night of the year so far and we booked in around 4pm and never moved from the room (we had had an enormous lunch) except to walk the dog. We...

We have just returned from a 3 night stay and cannot recommend The Hostelrie highly enough. Our room was very comfortable and we were looked after very well by all the friendly staff. The food was excellent at both breakfast and dinner so we didn't go anywhere else, enjoying a different meal each evening. After a day out walking in...

We found The Hostelrie by chance doing a web search for a dog friendly hotel for a one night stopover. Often hotels advertise themselves as dog friendly but are not. The Hostelrie is a truly dog friendly hotel. Our room was excellent, four poster bed, large en suite shower room, very clean and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast, the...

Lovely old building and very quirky.Owners and staff were very friendly. Good car parking and beer garden which must be great in the summer. Very quiet and peaceful setting in wonderful area. The bar food was very good and the local ales great. A good base to see the Wye valley and beyond.Would return.
