We can't think of anything that would have made the experience better.

From the greeting as our car pulled up to the dock, to the dolphins that met us on the way to the island, to the breeze, waves and fresh ocean smell as we walked into the well-stocked, clean and beautiful villa.

Everyone on the staff was eager to please, open to any requests and eager to accommodate. The manager was available (but not obtrusive) from 6:30 AM to the time we went to sleep.

The drinks and food were delicious - fresh seafood (prawns, octopus, squid, corvina) were amazing, fresh fruit at every meal delicious, and a good mix of local and international fare available.

The price was very attractive compared to other high end resorts we've visited at a similar standard (there are very few).

Why imagine paradise when you can live it at Bocas Bali!

It's hard to know where to start, because it was so very exquisite. When you have a private island as a destination you have to travel by boat. We were met by a boat captain from Nayara and he immediately called us by our names and offered beer, Prosecco or water. That seems to be the norm on every boat ride we took. Check in was seamless and our luggage was taken immediately to our room and we were guided to have lunch.

We never saw housecleaning because they are invisible. Rooms cleaned twice a day. Turn down service with Chocolates on your bed, perfect.

Room service is brought by a person holding the tray on their shoulder while riding a bicycle. Crazy!!

The food is a palate of deliciousness. The prawns are huge and yummy!!!! they take pride in what they deliver and is shown in the taste and artful presentation.

This property is laid out with purpose with areas that don't bother guests in their rooms. The handmade Beach area is so fun and so easy to just hang out or go snorkeling or kayaking.

The attention to detail on the decor makes you think you are in Bali with out traveling all the way there.

Most of all, the staff make you feel like you are the only ones on the island. We definitely felt like VIP's. Will be back and recommend highly this vacation destination.

We fell absolutely in love with this place! It is gorgeous, so much to do, and the staff really take care of you! We loved how tucked away and private it is, but also how you don't have to leave the island for fun! The pool is amazing, and so is the beach! The food is so good, and the menu changes each night, so you never get bored. You can always order room service if you're feel lazy as well! The cocktails are amazing! The water is filtered so it's so nice that you can drink straight from the tap! The staff truly go above and beyond, and we already miss them! Our captain Magnol really took care of us, and was so knowledgeable about the area! Our bartenders Patrick and Franco were so great at entertaining us, being personable, and making us great local drinks! Rubi at the front desk is a complete gem! If you are looking for an intimate, private vacation this is the place. The resort also takes care of travel arrangements which is so nice! I don't think we ever got told no the whole time we were there! We have told all of friends and family, this is a truly hidden gem!

So much so, that makes me think I was in a different resort than all the other reviewers here.

The Villas :

Have no privacy. Your neighbours and passers by can look straight into your balcony/pool area.
DON'T HAVE CURTAINS at the front windows ! Please, do not forget your sleep mask !
Look nice on the outside, with the Balinese structures, but inside the finishings and decoration are very basic, NOT what is expected for a luxury, 5 star hotel, even the bedlinen is not of very good quality.

We took a boat tour that included snorkeling. The "captain" showed up without the equipment, went back to retrieve it. Out of 3 masks, 2 were defective, meaning me and my husband could not snorkel together.
We had a picnic basket with a bottle of wine, but no opener.

The so called "aerial beach" is a joke, might look nice in the pictures they advertise !
There's a bar there, but for any reason the barman is never present, just no one to serve you.

The only thing that saves this hotel is the staff that try to do their best to ensure the guests wellbeing.

For USD1500 a night, there are way better resorts in the Caribbean, that's for sure.

If you’re looking for tropical beauty and relaxation- check. If you’re looking for culture and adventure. Check. If you want to be treated like a king with an attentive and friendly staff - check.

Our getaway at Bocas Bali went like this: waking up late in a comfy bed, open french doors letting in the ocean breeze, views right over the calm water, ordering fantastic breakfasts and having them delivered to our private ocean top deck, then taking a few steps and plunging into the clear, warm Caribbean Sea for snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking (with dolphins!) until a late lunch. The poolside restaurant (one of 2 on the island) is set in a tropical garden, Indonesian inspired art and thoughtful architectural details. Then come the tough choices. We settled on Ceviche and Mezcal Pisco Sour for starters, then seared tuna salad — you get the picture. Then back for a soak in our private deck top pool, another round of drinks ordered to watch the sun set. Then a nap. It’s exhausting relaxing so hard.

The rooms have blazing fast internet - if you have to squeeze in a little work or share your social content (what’s a visit to a bucket list place like this if you can’t brag a little bit in real time?) Then on to a 4 course dinner at the stunning over the sea restaurant. Food is varied, locally sourced, delicious. Usually at an “all inclusive” resort you would expect a few uninspired food options. Not here.

The only sucky part of the entire trip? That it ended!

We'll be back.

My wife and I stayed at Nayara Resort for five nights for our tenth anniversary in November. For the first two days, my wife kept asking, “how did you find this place?!”. We loved it so much we want to return and bring our adult children with us!

Nayara is a smaller resort that focuses on outstanding service. The staff consistently calls you by name and goes to every effort to fulfill your wishes. One example: we were going on a catamaran on our anniversary. The staff asked what we wanted to eat and drink on the boat. My wife’s favorite rum is Flor de Cana from Nicaragua. They did not have it. We were in our villa, and we received a call asking if she wanted the 4-, 7- or 13-year Flor de Cana. When we got on the boat, there was a large cooler with food and drinks, to include a new 750 ml bottle of Flor de Cana. Amazing!! The bar staff consistently remembered our drinks and would even bring them to our villa. The General Manager, Scott, makes it a point to introduce himself to every guest at dinner. He has developed a great team. His story of developing the resort is incredible.

We thoroughly enjoyed being on our villa deck and looking at the various sea life. I have never seen so many starfish! There was a wide variety of fish and coral, and the warm water was crystal clear. We have done the overwater bungalow in Tahiti, but Nayara was better.

I want to mention a couple things that I was not clear on. These are not criticism, just things I wish I would have been more aware of. The transportation between airports or hotels arranged by the resort is not included in the price. However, the transportation was excellent – newer Cadillac Escalade with cold drinks. Additionally, staff tips are not included. We tried to tip a few people directly, but we were told to tip once at the end, which we did. They do an outstanding job and deserve to be recognized.

If you are looking for a secluded resort where you can focus on being together as a couple, Nayara is it. If you want a party atmosphere, try another resort.

We hope to be back soon!

A brand new resort, beautifully designed and with a wonderful team.

The villas are gorgeous, with your own private plunge pool and ocean access so you can set off snorkelling and kayaking directly from there.

Food was international with a local twist and all requests were catered for, assuming ingredients were available (it is an island of course!). We had drinks and breakfast delivered to our villa, in addition to enjoying cocktails by the beautiful pool area and a selection of wine each evening in Elephant House restaurant.

If you are looking for somewhere extra special to relax and indulge, then look no further.

Just back from a 4 night stay in paradise aka Bocas Bali.
The excellent service begins before you arrive with booking and travel arrangements efficiently taken care of. From there, although hard to believe, it just gets better!
The location, villas, food and general ambience are all perfect. Every single member of the staff and management are friendly and eager to ensure you have a great experience. They are always there, so much so that we were convinced the manager had an identical twin - how else could he ALWAYS be on hand to ensure that everything was perfect !
We have stayed at a number of luxury resorts, and suffice it to say that Bocas Bali is a new favorite. Looking forward to many more visits!

Celebrated my wife’s big birthday at Bocas Bali. This was our second visit and it was even more spectacular than the first. Led by Scott the entire staff is focused on making your stay memorable, pleasant, exciting and just relaxing. The all inclusive arrangement with some of the best culinary experiences we ever had on vacation plus fantastic cocktails provided by David and his team makes the stay even more enjoyable.
Dan, the owner, has spared no expense in providing the guests with an exquisite and stylish environment. Everything is of quality and super thoughtful.
Add to this the paradise like setting in the Bocas del Toro region of Panama only a few plane hours away from the major US cities and you truly have a gem.
Gerson organized an unforgettable day for my wife’s birthday with local dance group and a fun band, champagne, flower arrangement and you name it.
We have traveled the world and stayed and dined in many of the top end travel destinations but Bocas Bali is our favorite, by far.
Thank you, Dan, Scott and team.
We will be back

After a domestic flight I flew from Panama City to Bocas del Toro in 1 hour. From the port in 30 minutes to @nayarabocasdeltoro for 7 nights. This is a 16+ hotel with 5 overwater villas and 7 with a private swimming pool and then 1 beautiful treehouse. All decor comes from Bali 😍

This resort is a member of the Leading Hotels of the world. Those are only the best and most luxurious hotels in the world!
You stay here on an ultra all inclusive basis, there are 2 restaurants, room service can be ordered 24 hours a day. Anything you want they will prepare for you even off the menu. Such a warm & lovely staff 🥰 As a travel agent, I travel all over the world and visit many luxury resorts, but I have never seen anything so beautiful, intimate and luxurious like this!
From the the start till the end it feels like they are family❤️ For sure we will come back!

After a 5 night stay in our overwater villa with private pool, I got a tour of the treehouse and I was really flabbergasted at how wonderfully decorated and built it is. We were allowed to sleep 2 nights in the treehouse and of course we did 🤩

It is swimmable but you would want water shoes as there are urchins. It’s probably just over 6 feet right off the bungalow and then deeper. They have water shoes you can borrow if you don’t have any.
