The autonomous tent experience was beautiful and an amazing ! Definitely worth the money for the view and the sunset. I would have given 5 starts except for the fact that I think the service could be worked on. I understand its a form of camping but this is still considered a high end resort and paying $600 a night...

Thank you for your recent stay with us..so glad to hear you loved the autonomous tent and the view it boasts! right now the gray whales are heading south and many spouts can be spotted on the horizon - it's amazing. Our Lodge Hands are always available after dark to offer a cart ride back to the tent and it's...

I was there this past weekend, to relax and get away with my husband. We were there when a group of people checked in, they looked like they were in their 30's. Not a group I would think would cause any trouble. They came into the lodge on the first night we were there, and they walked out, and I...

Thank you for your comments, I'm so glad that you felt you were "treated great". Last weekend was pretty intense with all the wind and rain. In way of explanation regarding what you witnessed with the way the group was treated. None of us have it in our hearts to make anyone feel unwelcome, however we do have a policy...

I stayed at Treenbones by myself and did the ocean view tent camping. First of all, it was 42 degrees, raining and windy and it was still magical. The campsite was clean, the ground was freshly wood chopped, I felt like I had a ton of privacy in my space and the view... without question, the most beautiful camping view...

There are so many things to love about this place. We have eaten at the Treebones Wild Coast Restaurant and the Sushi Bar several times while camping at nearby Kirk Creek, but this was our first overnight stay. The location is incredible, and there are not many places in the world where a resort like this could be duplicated. We...

My fiance and I stayed in Yurt 8 from 12/24-26. It was the perfect Christmas getaway. To be able to disconnect from the world and surround ourselves with the beauty of Big Sur was amazing. We drove around Highway 1 on Christmas Day and we were able to easily see all of the highlights of Big Sur. The Yurt itself...

Loved the unique experience that felt super connected to the amazing surroundings. I spent Christmas eve and day here (2 nights) with my 12 year old daughter. We loved the property, from the inviting lodge with a great couch and fireplace, to the awesome hot spa, cool organic garden and a small conveniance store that has everything. We had an...

Thank you for spending your Christmas here at Treebones with your daughter. Great to hear you enjoyed the restaurant, our gift store, the fantastic views and the warmth and helpful attitude of our staff. They live here too! and together we brave these crazy winter storms! I write that to let folks who would not enjoy the place to stay away for those of us who love it. I know that sounds a little mean, but you really do sleep in a giant round tent with no bathroom and no wifi. I loved being disconnected and the bathroom thing was not a big deal. The bed...

I'm all about finding unique places to stay when I travel. For me, that's a big part of the experience. Treebones was exactly that: unique, picturesque, simply fun. We stayed two nights -- and there was this crazy windstorm both nights -- but it made it all the more an unforgettable experience. The staff was super friendly, the food was...

We enjoyed our stay at Treebones! The restaurant offered good wine and delicious food which was perhaps overpriced, but this seemed to be true everywhere in Big Sur. The yurts were comfortable, but heater in our 5 person yurt didn't keep up. Overall, it was fun and definitely something different.

Thank you for your visit and so glad to hear you enjoyed our local wine list and the delicious menu our Chef prepares. I am sorry you were in in a cold snap and found the yurt too chilly. I'm not one to write a review but I had an amazing experience at Treebones! We camped at campsite 3 the weekend after Thanksgiving. Even with all the rain and wind we had a wonderful time.
