We enjoyed our stay here, it was clean and well maintained. We had a visit from the grand kids and they loved the playground. It was a beautiful area with lots to do near by. We are planning to return again next fall.

This time of the year the Steelhead runs start, Big River, etc, I think it's all barbless hooks, catch & release though. Also OK trout fishing but to tell you the truth I wouldn't go there for that, but rather head for the foothills and Sierras, where it's great for trout (10+ varieties), steelhead Kokani, etc.
In Big Sur, I'd surf fish or go out on a boat. There are several charters that go out there. Rockfish and Ling Cod (delicious) and plentiful.
