Before covid, myself and my family used to visit from Ireland most years. It was fabulous and our go to! This year was our first year back and I absolutely shocked and appalled at the service myself and my family endured this year. It has totally changed for the worst! We were staying for 2 nights before going down to Miami but in the total of 2 nights our room key would not work 6 TIMES!!!!! I went back and forth to reception, I was told it just needed a new one then I was told it’s been ‘de-magnetized’ by my phone (??? I know) then third time they called an engineer to the room to fix the door..(clearly didn’t) fourth time I was like told it needed another new key… then the FIFTH TIME.. I went to reception again and I dealt with a new person, but this guy was probably the most rudest receptionist I have ever met. I explained my frustration of not being able to get into my room 5 TIMES PREVIOUSLY, he made no apology, couldnt care less and then told me it was because we had not paid for the room ??? Baring in mind we had paid on the check in and this was our final night. I said ‘it couldn’t be because I was told 5 different things about my room key, now you’re saying this?’ Anyway he wanted to speak to who paid… who was my stepdad. My stepdad then had to come up and try to prove that he paid with his laptop, now at this stage we are both disgusted at the treatment of this man at reception. I don’t know his name but he was skinny and like 5’8, horrible attitude. The EMBARRASSMENT of standing in reception with this problem and the utmost unprofessionalism we have ever encountered at a hotel! AT THIS STAGE I AM STILL LOCKED OUT OF MY ROOM. Anyway king story short, the hotel ended up charging us TWICE for our stay because of that rude, clueless, receptionist!!!!!!!! Still no apology from the hotel. They are money hungry and you have lost a very loyal family that travel from Ireland to be there. All my memories in this hotel growing up are tarnished because of the treatment we received.…
First, there is a $150 damage deposit/resort fee that you have to pay separately when you arrive. We knew about this fee, but thought it was part of the total due at check-in that they had already quoted us. It was not. Then our room door broke the first time we opened it. The elbow hinge thing at the top fell completely off. They moved us to a new room. In this room, the bathtub faucet dripped/ran the whole time we were there despite our reporting it the first day. Housekeeping left a dirty sponge in our room one day. The free transportation did NOT work out. It is by reservation only and is first come first serve. By the time we checked in, the first three mornings of our stay were already full so we had no morning transportation to the parks the first three days and had to either pay for a ride or use a pieced-together route using Disney transport. When we did get transportation booked, they drop you off really far away from where Disney transport is so be ready to walk quite a way at the beginning/end of your park days. There was trash in the elevator that sat for two days before it was cleaned up. The only good thing about the place is it is walking distance from Disney springs. By time you pay for and tolerate all the inconveniences, you may have well just stayed at a Disney hotel.…
Have stayed here many times over the years. It’s a good price for a great location. Right across from Disney Springs so it’s easy to find food. They have a little market that is open 24 hours, helps when you arrive at 2AM. The bartenders at the pool are wonderful, helpful, and friendly. The rooms seemed to be recently remodeled. The garden wings are near the parking lots. One improvement that could be made is umbrellas at the pool. There was one. We need a place to get out of the sun, would stay at the pool longer, and buy more drinks. Buy some umbrellas!
This is my second time staying here due to a good experience last time. Could not have started off worse. Arrived at 8pm to check in, waited by the desk for 30 mins before we asked whether the system was down which it was but no one told us. Finally got to speak to someone, checked in but yet more delays, this time with the system with accepting the cards my partner and I were using. I said we had an urgent dinner reservation we were now going to miss, was there anything they could do to speed up the process? Yes you can fill out this credit card form they said... so we filled it out whilst they still attempted to process the card. There was nothing wrong with our cards but with their machines. We gave them 3 options so we didn't miss our dinner reservation which they only tried once we asked but never suggested it themselves. At this point we headed to the room and received numerous calls from the desk attempting to use different cards whilst none of them worked because their own system was down and not because of our cards. At this point, we missed our dinner reservation with zero empathy from the front desk or attempts to even rectify the situation. An extremely disappointing, unprofessional and upsetting beginning to our stay which could have been avoided. When your hotel guests are having to tell the staff how they can try an amend the situation, it leaves a bad taste and only highlights their incompetence. Sad to say I won't be returning.…
Nice place close to Diney Springs...shittle could have been more helpful. It didnt state hotel brand or pickip point Main resteraunt is breakfast only. Internet slow on many occassions. Will stay again, just expect internet to be slow at peak times.
Marly was outstanding. We stopped in for a drink and was amazed at her knowledge of even the most regional drinks we ordered (we’re from Wisconsin). I’m blown away at how she knew how to make any of the more obscure drink orders we made. Give her a raise!!!!!!
Room keys fail to work, safe loses its memory and fails to open and overcharged on automatic checkout which are all frustrating and time consuming. Staff never apologise, brush over these facts and underestimate the intelligence of the guests.
The hotel stay itself was great however, the check in agents and account practices are dishonest. My personal credit was charged twice despite being on a company tab. Agent told me she is charging 75.00 to my personal account and charged over 500 twice and to top it off, I was charged for the entire stay despite company card being on file. They are idiots and not helpful.
Used this as a base for visiting friends around Orlando. The room was comfortable and large, and the hotel is walking distance to Disney Springs. Valet Parking was not much more expensive than self-parking, and worth-while.
The hotel was fairly priced even after the parking fee and resort fee, but be aware that you’ll be paying an extra $55 or so on top of the advertised rate. The room was nice and clean, and it has a couple pools and a hot tub. Very convenient to walk to Disney Springs, and you can use those busses (or the ones from Saratoga Springs) to get home, if you don’t mind a little walk.
