We stayed at Shangri La al Husn in October and all I can say was it was absolutely incredible. From the staff to the service and the hotel overall was nothing short of impeccable 5 star luxury. We enjoyed our stay tremendously, the resort is beautiful and so is their private beach. Special mention of Cheyenne from reception who was so friendly and welcoming, she is definitely an asset to the hotel. I would also like to make a special mention of Tushar from the front of house team at Aangan Restaurant, he was just exceptional in his recommendations and knowledge on all the dishes and the entire menu. The service which Tushar offered was nothing short of 5* and will definitely leave an impressionable memrory for us in Oman. Thank you to the entire team at Shangri La Al Husn for an amazing stay. Where do we even begin! The Shangri-la al-Husn is in a league of its own. Absolutely stunning hotel & complex. Every part of the hotel was mind blowing. But one thing that stood out was how personal and extremely heart warming the service was. Despite us arriving later than expected due a missing connection flight - when we arrived to the hotel, we were greeted by Stephanie at reception, she was so friendly, warm and made us feel at ease. She organised a special drinks and canapés on the cliff with Mark which was mind blowing! It was beyond amazing. The next day, we met Adil - wow, Adil’s service was second to none, he really took time to explain the hotel to us, show us around and give us a tour of the beautiful luxury hotel. A special shout out to Khalid who showed us the history of the hotel, the service was amazing - he took his time to explain all the intricate details of the hotel which was so interesting! It was amazing how all the staff in this intimate luxury hotel seemed to know our names and were genuinely interested in how we were enjoying their country. Hamid & Jamil from concierge and the whole team planned a very good itinerary - we have seen such amazing sights in Oman. They paid extra attention and genuinely wanted to spend time with us. The hotel is beautiful. The restaurants are excellent and have breathtaking views. Honestly I’d come back just for the pampering in the hotel. We loved the afternoon tea & drinks & canapés as well. Our third visit to this beautiful hotel and we were not disappointed. From chocolate cake to dogs of towel on our bed, from dips in an energizing sea on the private beach to fresh grilled asparagus for lunch and music at happy hour, hot jacuzzi under a star filled sky and breathe taking views, we had a truly memorable stay. The pros : secluded and peaceful location, ideal for spending a few days relaxing. Surrounded by mountains and even the beach is located between beautiful cliffs. Well appointed and spacious rooms with nice views. Generally good service. Excellent spa. The cons : the drawback of the isolated location is that you are limited to the restaurants of the resort. Al Husn guests can also use the restaurant of the sister property.

Second visit and definitely not the last. Fantastic friendly staff and excellent service throughout. Special mention goes to Ahalya who served us at breakfast time. She was extremely professional and ever so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Another mention must go to the waiter in the Bait Al Bahr seafood restaurant who also served us last year. Another mention must go to Nim, our Nepalese waiter at the indian restaurant Great food and service. A special mention, last but not least, goes to the pool and beach manager Said and his team. They all work so hard in ensuring you have a fantastic stay. Our room was impeccable with great views of the pool and sea. This is an excellent hotel. I have travelled a lot and can be quite picky, but this is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting and staffed by superb people. The location is stunning, with lovely view of the mountains and sea wherever you are in the hotel. The pool area is spacious and pretty and staffed by excellent attentive staff. There is a small private beach with a lovely cafe/restaurant, ideal for a cool drink or a tasty lunch. The rooms are spacious with lovely views and well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. The extras, like the free afternoon tea and we’ll stocked free mini bar with drinks and snacks and the daily cocktail and canapés hour in beautiful settings really are excellent. However what really sets this hotel apart from others is the quality of staff and the leadership. The general manager and his management team are visible and accessible to all guests and every member of staff is focused on making your stay special for you. Nothing is too much trouble. …

I loved the relaxed and laid back feel of this adults only hotel. Without exception I found the staff to be friendly and helpful at all times. My room was large, quiet and comfortable with an amazing view . I mainly ate in the excellent restaurants in the hotel but could have tried even more restaurants at the sister hotel had I wished. As a solo traveller the hotel choice is always important to me and this met every expectation. I hope to return again soon .

My wife and I had a fantastic 6 night stay end October / start November to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The service was absolutely superb, whether that was our room, in the Sultanah restaurant, around the pool or at the beach. Our room had an amazing view of the pool area and the sea and was spacious and spotless. We were left a cake in our room to celebrate our anniversary, we loved the towel art and the minibar / food was topped up every day without fail. Big thanks to our room attendant Samim. We were half-board, which gave us breakfast, afternoon tea and the set menu at Sultanah. The breakfasts were incredible in terms of the amount of choice for self-service as well as the menu items (various egg choices, some arabic savoury options plus sweet options). Afternoon tea (also at the Sultanah) was lovely, with different savoury and sweet options every day. The set menu in the evening gave 3 options for each course and the food was superb. Across the 6 nights there were some repeats on the menu, but there was enough choice to have something different over the week. Service was excellent throughout, with a special mention to Vishwas. The half-board also gave us access to pre-dinner drinks and canopies in the open-air centre part of the hotel. At both the pool and private beach the service was great, with a cool box of drinks brought to you on arrival, then other services such as fruit skewers and sunglasses cleaning! At the beach there was plenty of snorkelling gear to borrow, plus kayaks and paddle boards. The snorkelling just off the beach was great, with loads of fish plus we managed a few turtle sightings which was brilliant. We also booked trips with the hotel, being a boat trip to some uninhabited islands where we snorkelled with turtles, plus a half-day trip to Muscat including the Grand Mosque, and a sunset boat trip in a dhow. Minor improvements at the hotel would be that the evening entertainment got repetitive (the saxophonist was better than the singer....) and USB ports in the room would have been handy. Overall though, those are very minor items as it's a fantastic hotel in a great location and was a wonderful place to spend our anniversary.…

I had a dream stay in your beautiful hotel Shangri-La Al Husn, Muscat. stay from 2/11/2023 to 7/11/2023 on the occasion of my Birthday. this beautiful trip which was offered to me by my son-in-law and my daughter, my daughter contacted Madame Cylia Duchose, an employee of the hotel. my daughter explained to him that I was going to travel alone for the first time, that I spoke only in French and in the Magrebian dialect and that he had to help me and make this beautiful trip more enjoyable.
