My friend booked this hotel for the two of us. We stayed in the only 2-bed room. It was nothing fancy but had what we needed. But I would without hesitation return because of the service! Easy parking right at the front door. When you enter you are met by the owners/family to check-in. Our lack of Slovakian language was no issue as nearly all employees spoke English. I was blown away by the meals though. The food, while it is a limited menu with two options per dinner, was amazing. I am still thinking about that soup a month later after getting home! The service was also phenomenal (it was the boyfriend of the owner's daughter). And there was a great selection for breakfast daily. We stayed for 2 nights and never went out in town to eat. No need. The wine selection was not bad either. I have dietary restrictions which I never mentioned because I was able to find something that met my needs for every meal. I have no doubt they would have accommodated any request I had. …
I've spent in Tivoli Palace romantic weekend with my boyfriend. The staff was very friendly and professional, the place is more family/ boutique style hotel. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend. Suzie
If you want to stay in the heart of the High Tatras, still in a silent place, choose this hotel. It has a lovely atmosphere, from the friendly hall to the staff. The building irself outside has the features of those typical Monarchia style buildings, while inside is nicely renewed. The rooms are comfortable, while the bathroom looks really cool. Full bufet breakfast is served at the restaurant which has a nice outdoor part at the backyard. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone.
We had a wonderful time at the Palace Tivoli, which is under new management since May I can confirm what other reviewers have said. Great location, away from the main tourist centers of the Tatras, but next to one of the train stations that will get you to them if you want to. The owners made us feel very welcome and the combination of a historic hotel with great food is captivating. We used a hotel as a base for exploring the area. Apart from the well marked trails in the High Tatras, you can visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Spis Castle (one of the largest castles in Europe, the open air folk museum of Liptov at Pribylina, Slovak Paradise etc in day trips. They can also organize nature/wildlife watching trips. This is an area where you can still see bears. I did not give 5 stars as the hotel is still developing, but I am sure it will be 5 stars soon.…
Thanks to Matt & crew for a really nice stay at your hotel. We liked this historical old hotel from 1902 with your friendly service. We are looking forward staying with you again! Perfect for motorbikers and others that want to discover beautiful High Tatra in Slovakia.
During our 2,000-mile road trip through Slovakia and neighboring countries, we decided to pull by hotel Palace Tivoli and stay for a night. It was a completely random decision to choose from, perhaps, a hundred or more available hotels in that area, yet one that produced a rather memorable experience. As it turned out, Tivoli was under new management purchased a couple of days earlier. So new, in fact, that a supply of beer to hotel’s restaurant did not even have time to fully chill by the time we arrived. The story of new ownership and management is quite interesting. After working overseas for many years in some of prestigious hotels in Asia, a hospitality industry professional Matus returned to Slovakia and together with a jolly chef, Ladislav, took over Palace Tivoli operations. The chef also contributes with his international experience having worked overseas and meals reflect that experience. Combined, they have provided us with a superb customer service and excellent food (Ladislav prepared for us two excellent steaks with asparagus and sweet potato fries, after lovely bean soup that served as an appetizer). If they could pull that off on their first day, I can only imagine how well they will do it in future. The future will involve expansion of offers and investment in improvements in and the around hotel. The building is a historical place; any changes in outside appearance must satisfy legal regulations and requirements. For the inside of the hotel and the grounds, however, the management has a long-term plan for improvements, both functional and aesthetic. When we return to Slovakia and visit Vysoke Tatry again we may witness that change, because Palace Tivoli will be our place to stay.…
Visit this place last weekend with a group of friends. We have been told that the hotel is under the new management.I dont know what was the situation here before, but seems like there is lots of improvements. Service was great, food outstanding. Altogether we had a great time.
I visited this amazing hotel with my husband for a romantic weekend away and I wish I could have stayed forever. The view over the mountains is stunning and if you breath in you feel the clean air. The best was the sauna for 2 persons. The room was super clean, the beds very comfortable and all amenities are there. The food was too good to be true, all meals were delicious and generous. I have worked in hotels for years but I can say that this place blew me away. Professional staff, everybody helpful and always smiling! Cant wait to go back!
My booking was made for 4 PAXs and the room only has one bed and one coach. The WiFi only is able in the reception and restaurant and has no any kind of housekeeping. The breakfast has an inaceptable quality for 8€. The star classification of 3* is not real.
Nice room after renovation. Location near to the rail station. Nothing else I can add as a advantage. I am so sorry but I can't recommend this hotel just because of very poor level of customer service.
