I highly recommend a stay in Masseria Bagnara Resort and Spa! Fantastic hotel in the middle of olive tree fields with amazing food (both dinner and breakfast). You can totally relax there swimming in a hotel pool and sunbathing in the peace and quiet around you. Lovely rooms, helpful and awesome staff. Plenty of wine to choose from their wine cellar and a guy who is a wine master there gave us a bottle of lovely, Puglian white wine for free when we were leaving. We love you guys, love the hotel, location, everything, we'll definitely be back!
The beauty of the location, the excellent and friendly service, warm and smiling at all times. The restaurant was excellent (5 dinners) with a different menu every evening and a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian dishes. A great wine cellar (a must visit) and follow the advice of Ameeo who will make you discover the excellent regional wines. Big sized rooms, high ceiling and very efficient air conditionning. Amazing 25 meter swimming pool. View on the country side. We made the choice of not renting a car. Perfect organisation for taxis or minibus at a reasonable price. Plenty of places to visit from Gallipoli, Lecce, Tarente, Grotilie etc... We will certainly return!
Such a special Masseria in the middle of the countryside. We had a wonderful dinner outside in the courtyard... food and service was excellent. Make time for a great cocktail at their beautiful bar. And if you can, ask for a tour of their wine cellar. Very special. Bravo!
Lovely whitewashed masseria, about 1 mile back from the coast, set in farmland. Very warm welcome. We had room 15, which had its own terrace and outdoor jacuzzi.lovely courtyard for meals. Excellent large pool with plenty of sun loungers. Excellent service from knowledgeable friendly staff. Sensibly priced Puglian wine recommendations. A bit remote (car essential) but well worth the trip.
We stayed here for two nights on our road trip through Italy and after all our research we made a lot of effort to book a room at this masseria. It was to our expectations as a nicely done up hotel with only 17 rooms. The pool is lovely with plenty of sun loungers for all guests, however there is no bar or place to order drinks and the service is minimal with staff walking around (on our first day we didn’t see any staff around the pool which is surprising given how hot it is and water wasn’t provided) We stayed in the converted 16th century stone room with a lovely skylight which was the only one on site so it was a very unique experience. Beware opening or closing the sky light as a lot of dust falls when it is moving! Food is delicious- we had all three meals on site but there is no price list for drinks so the bill at check out was a surprise. We enjoyed our stay here, it was a lovely hotel with great food and we thoroughly relaxed by the pool but there is little else to do unless you had a car and could explore. If the pool service could be improved we would give this place 5 stars. …
