We had a great time in Valle di Banne. Nice rooms with balcony, free parking and excellent breakfast. The owner was extremely helpful and supported all our needs. The perfect location to visit Trieste but to have also a place to relax! We will come back with pleasure!
This place is great, cosy and the owners are very nice! Had a great stay on our way to Croatia! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the morning buffet was very good! We will recommend staying here!
We stopped off in Trieste on our way to Croatia from Lake Como on our European travelling holiday this year 2018. As we reached our destination we wondered where the hotel was......it is a hidden little gem! Parking was no problem. Reception staff were friendly....quite an informal place.....a young child was playing with lots of toys that are available to play with at the back of the reception area. Like a lot of smaller hotels in Europe there is no lift. The rooms were very pleasant and clean if a bit on the small side. We had two triple rooms together and the little balconies were lovely! Clean towels and bedding and the beds were very comfortable. Personally I am forever disappointed with the lack of an English breakfast when travelling, however we weren't in England!! There was an array of fruit, cereals, cheeses, croissants/pastries, eggs etc. self service in a quirky dining room. A great stop off hotel. We didn't manage to get into the centre of Trieste as we were back on the road next day. Would stop again if we ever did the same route!…
I chose this hotel for a drive from eastern Europe to France, I was just passing through, the free parking was perfect. It's a nice property, no elevators and the halls are a bit winding. The absolute angel that greeted me was utterly charming, The wifi signal was strong but there was no internet connection behind it, when I mentioned it upon check out the person blamed the severe thunderstorm that passed late the previous afternoon; problem is that the internet didn't work even before the storm. The dinner and breakfast were adequate, I think the coffee machine wasn't working correctly, all I got for my cafe au lait was hot foamy milk.
This hotel was a quiet, friendly, clean place. The rooms are small but the place is charming and the staff ever so friendly. Free parking, good food and just a comfortable place for a break on our European road trip. I would use again.
We have chosen the place due to parking troubles in Trieste and were satisfied with the stay. Simple standard in the rooms but you have everything you need. A new guy in the reception (it was his 2nd day at work) spoke good English and was very helpful - hotel sells even bus tickets. We tok bus 39 to the city center and it tok us approx. 25 min but on the way back, the bus driver used 55 (!) minutes to our bus stop and he was driving like crazy! I would not recommend to walk there in the evening - area seems deserted and bit isolated. Our GPS did not take us directly to the front of the hotel and we missed information/hotel name with an arrow at the nearest crossing. Just a suggestion for the hotel to facilitate arrival of future guests. Wifi was too weak and did not really function i our room on the 2nd floor - we had to go downstairs to the reception/restaurant area.…
Lovely little hotel just off the highway, but away from it all...very convenient if you are by car. Good room, good breakfast and nice people running it. watch out...the floors are connected by fire doors and it is a bit confusing
Do you want to experience real Italian life out in the country and up in the hills near the city of Trieste, perhaps before a cruise? If so, this is the place for you! The proprietors, Marco and Marina went out of their way to attend to every detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Not only is their breakfast substantial, we were astonished with the dinners they put out. Should we return to Trieste, we will stay there again - it was that nice and so convenient, bus 39 stops in front of their hotel multiple times a day - no need for a taxi.
Our large room with balcony was very nice. The #39 bus from the central station in Trieste stops in front of the hotel. The hotel has plenty of parking, it's own restaurant which served our more than adequate included breakfast. Dinner is served from 1930-2100 for 17 Euro per person, it consists of an appetizer buffet, a 1st & 2nd plate plus 1/4 litre of wine, bread, a bottle of water, and dessert delivered to your table by your friendly waitress who will translate the menu to your language. The absolute best part of our stay was Marina who is the owner along with Marco, she took us to the Opicina Tram and also sold the bus tickets we needed to return. Everything possible was done to make our visit the best it could be, we would definitely return and will recommend it to our military & non military friends. My wife & I are happy we were lucky enough to find this Hotel. Tony Carbone, USN Retired…
This is a good hotel, when you travel back to home from a long trip and you want to make a rest stop for a night. The rooms are clean, the hotel staff is very, very friendly. There is a fire place in the breakfast room. There is a private parking in the hotel grounds. For breakfast there is prosciutto cotto, with some cheese, yoghourt and some sweets, basically not much, but ok quality, the prices of the hotel are very cheap. Its a nice place for a 3star hotel. Its very clean! Recommend it!
