We were horrified when we arrived at this accommodation. The yard was a mess; weeds everywhere including flower beds, cobwebs around the windows and front entry. We were told to text Max letting him know our arrival time. We called the contact number and found out we were speaking w an agent in the US on behalf of the owners who reside in Florida. We were given the door code to get in and were told what room we had upstairs. The place was freezing and not clean. We decided to call Expedia and the agent and received a full refund. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. People who own a business need to tend to their clients! Not impressed!!!

This place was a nightmare as far as Bed and Breakfasts go. It was not clean, there were bags of trash throughout the house, dishes in the sink and absolutely no breakfast offered nor any host to speak to. My daughter and I were so disappointed! It's obvious that since the place is for sale, the owner cares nothing for maintaining the business, in which case it should be allowed to continue as a business on PEI. I would definitely like to know how to get a refund!

We stayed at this property for 4 nights, July 2024. The home is beautiful and charming, the grounds are very pretty and the beds were comfortable. When we booked, the ad mentioned breakfast that would be served and afternoon tea with a member of the Montgomery family telling stories/history. There were a few things that took away from the experience. When we arrived we were the first guests to check in, there was a half eaten banana left on the kitchen island and a partial leftover chicken in the fridge (that remained there for the full time we were there), there was only cereal and toast for breakfast, which is fine but by the 3rd day there was no milk, cream or butter for breakfast or coffee and no one there to serve anything. There was no afternoon tea or visit from the Montgomery family as originally advertised (the ad has since been changed with no notice). There were also no clean towels by the 3rd day. We did message the owner as there had been no housekeeping to remove our dirty towels, change garbages or do general housekeeping expected, they did send someone to collect the dirty towels, bring fresh ones and change the garbage. We also found a dead tick in one of our clean towels, we did tell the owner but were assured that it wasn’t a tick, just a bug (they didn’t see the picture I took, it was a tick). I understand bugs are to be expected in an area with so much nature and that’s fine, I just don’t expect to find them in clean linens. The property has a lot of potential, we’ve stayed in many different hotels, air bnb’s and bed and breakfasts and haven’t left a negative review but this one was disappointing. I hope this will encourage the owners to work a little harder to make their guests more comfortable in this beautiful home
