Great self catering houses.
First impression was that they are very spacious and very clean.
We stayed in house 49. Ideal spot for all the kids to play safely on the cul de sac and green with little road traffic. Garda presence a couple times a day was great to see. We would definitely consider returning another summer
However, considering the price paid for house, some things could do with a little updating and hope that these would be considered before our return:
A timer for the immersion would be very useful, economical and environmentally friendly. We forgot a couple of times to turn it off. It would be easier to set a timer especially for a return after a swim at the beach etc
We noticed our house didn’t have a clothes line unlike the other houses. We had a clothes horse instead but this kept falling over and wasnt practical. We ended up using the balcony to dry clothes which probably wasn’t a pretty sight!
There was no where for locking up bikes during the day/night. There was a very small tree out the front but this wasn’t ideal. We ended putting all the bikes into the porch and using the back door as the main door.
The curtains are very light and do not block any light considering there are no blinds either for any privacy. Some voile would be nice for day time privacy.
These were minor inconveniences and just customer feedback that we hope you take on board

On the very day that Covid restrictions were lifted in Ireland I chose to lunch at the Bunker bar at the Gold Coast Resort. Situated over looking the bay of Dungarvan this well established resort presents itself with immaculate attention to service detail. Warm and welcoming decor, attentive yet discreet service and a menu of local produce makes it a winner.

We rented a lodge for a week. It was satisfactory in all respects except WiFi. Effectively, WiFi wasn’t available in the lodge even though it’s advertised as coming with WiFi. Good location for Dungarvan and the Greenway. We didn’t use the hotel’s facilities.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us. Naturally I was disappointed that the Wi-Fi was not as you expected it to be. However the landing page for Self Catering on our main website specifically states “*Limited Wifi available, especially when Holiday Homes are encountering full occupancy. However, Wi-Fi is not available in Villas.” On the week you stayed here with us all 60 Homes on site were full with many household using several devices and unfortunately because of our rural location we depend on satellite broadband with beamed signals to all Lodges. We have fibre optic cable to the main building which we intend roll out over the coming year. I am glad to note that otherwise your stay was pleasant and thank you for choosing The Gold Coast. Our 3rd year staying in a lodge at Gold Coast. House is very clean and spacious. Grounds are lovely children loved playground, tennis court and football pitch. Swimming must be booked this year but this was fine always seemed to be a time pool was never very busy. Changing room was spotless. Had dinner one evening in the bar carvery our coeliac son could have roast with gravy and mash so he was happy camper. Staff were friendly. Location is great just of green way. 4k from Dungarvan with cycle path from main road in. It is a lovely Waterside location and I'm sure we will be back again.

Situated on the beautiful bay of Dungarvan with unspoilt views of the sea, the wonderful hospitality here is like the sea air, a breath of freshness. Care and attention to the simple details made for a beautiful meal. The views and the weather just complimented everything.

There were a group of 15 of us and we stayed in 2 cottages. They were awarded 3 stairs and were anything but. Doors were broken, horrible mouldy shower curtains. The facilities outlined in the website eg Dugout bar was closed. Bunker Bar food closed early. Their website gives a completely different impression. While some of the staff were friendly enough. The majority were less than helpful. While Dungarvan and the surrounding area is breathtaking we were really let down by our choice of accomodation. Having travelled extensively in Ireland and overseas hands down this is one of the worst places I've ever stayed in.

A group of us spent the weekend at the Gold Coast hotel and golf resort. It was a great experience from start to finish and the management and staff were very attentive to any requirements our group had. The leisure centre has a small pool but fabulous facilities and was very clean. The Restaraunt and bar area had good food and service. The golf course is a hidden gem with fabulous scenery along the estuary and towards the lighthouse. We will def be back

We went as a family of four, two smallies 2 and 3. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Maura was so accommodating when I had a panic about our house. We stayed in the villas and the offer really good privacy. The kids were able to play outside the back in manicured gardens. The food was excellent, I recommend the fish and chips. We had take away every evening and it was ideal with Covid. The pool was perfect for the children, all we had to do was book ahead. Baileys ice cream is a really great too. All of the staff were so nice and accommodating, I’m thinking of making this our holiday destination every year!

Situated on the eastern edge of Dungarvan bay lies this hotel. Today I had the pleasure of having lunch in their Bunkers Bar. From arrival to departure I felt a warmth of welcome and hospitality not often seen. Strict association with current government protocols were completed with a smile and welcome. My food was freshly prepared as I gazed over the bay. A spicy, fragrant and umami chicken curry was just perfect, thank you, I loved my visit.

In the times that we are living in at the moment our parent's are so precious to us and we want to keep them safe.. When thing's started to lift a bit I wanted to get my parents out for Sunday dinner but I wanted to keep them safe at the same time.. My dad is almost 89 and missing interaction with others in the country pub on a Saturday night my mam is 80 and both are healthy out so I didn't want to put any of them at risk.. Went to the gold Coast hotel and I can't speak highly enough of the place.. From the minute we walked in the bar was spacious and airy.. We went into the dining room and there was plenty of room between everybody.. The staff couldn't do enough for us and what made it was it was the first stout shandy my dad had since March and to see his face made the whole day worth it.. Thanks to you all for making my parents first outing safe and enjoyable.. We're definitely going back.

The owners are very accommodating but it is best to give them a call and make personal contact.
Did not stay in the apartments, but could see them from our hotel room. They are close and there is a playground there for the kids and also a tennis court I think.
We have just returned and for €10 we got at least 8 bath towels and 2 hand towels. Did us perfect for 5 days.
