Detailed Reviews
I stayed in this hotel for a week in 2008 during winter time. I had a great time there, in spite of coming down with flu like symptoms. (There is a Doctor nearby and he had some rudimentry English Skills and was able to give me some medicine to help ease the symptoms).
So the hotel itself, recently renovated this is obviously a "Soviet Era Hotel" but it has been modernised and is quite comfortable. The rooms are well layed out, if a little cramped - we chose a room with a lounge so there was a little extra room for us.
On to the food... not Michelin Star by any strech of the imagination, but good, wholesome food of the "Russian Canteen" variety - but don't knock it...! It is plentyful, tasty and there is a great variety of food to eat. It is self service however and, clearly, there are some kids who run amok in the dinning room... So beware. There is however an a la carte restaurant on the ground floor, we didn't try it, (for no particular reason). We did however use the small bar, come coffee shop downstairs. This is the Achilles Heel of the place.... Terrible Service and Atrocious Prices....
There is a Health Spa and gym which my partner and her daughter used and enjoyed. (For obvious reasons, I didn't use the facility).
All in all though, a good place to stay!

As a kid I enjoyed this place. Every day at noon they had games and very exciting ones. Every day in the evening they had a disco party guided by the entertainers (it would sometimes be inside depending on the weather). Once in a while they would have crafts. The train station was a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Right next to the station was a big market with food and toys. On the train it was about an hour trip to Saint Petersburg. Be sure to check the times because the last trains leave early. In the buffet there was traditional Russian food. If the buffet there doesn't suit you you can go to another one with a bigger buffet 15 minute walk from there. There was a small gift shop in the lobby along with free Wi-fi. Some of the rooms have modern flat screen T.V. and some have old ones.Overall the service was great but they don't have bellboys or valet. If you have Russian speaking kids like me it is a great hotel.

This hotel was situated very close to the Bay of Finland and the views are great. We where there on a inclusive meals package. Not very western diet but quite edible to my taste. The hotel did everything to help and where friendly and most of all happy. I would go again .A great place to renew the body and find time to think again.
