Stayed here for one night on a business trip, It was a really great hotel. Small but friendly with fantastic and extremely good value food. The bar is also very popular with locals and it has an unusual press in the upstairs part of the bar. The guest lounge is very well laid out and a nice quiet place to...

The hotel is situated along a stream. The rooms are spacey, clean and taken care for. The hotel is a bit noisy however due to the materials, hard; wood or stone. I had room 101 just next to the stairs to all rooms. I could hear anyone come up or leave! There is a parking garage under the hotel. To...

Everything in perfect. Small notes: 1. The bed mattress in very, very soft. 3. Some rooms are very, very small. 2. Nice things to do in the area: dinner at ne of the famous Cidrarias restaurants is a highlight of the stay, landscapes and surrounding mountains are great, taste the famous Idiazabal cheese.

Beautiful medieval building, yet top notch modern on the inside. With a gorgeous 2/3 story high open space in its centre, containing the computer area and a general living room. Great bathroom, good beds, friendly staff and a 10/10 breakfast!

Delightful staff, great value, tasty 3, 4 or 5 course dinner and breakfast buffet has everything from healthy to sweet to savoury options and all a plenty. Room very nice not amazing. Hotel itself quite beautiful woodwork, large spacious interior. I liked the idea of the family tv room and reading spaces on the first floor.

The check-in was quick and professional. English, German and Croatian spoken (not to forget Spanish. Not sure about Basque...). Room was spacious although not very well furnished. As if the internal decorator lost his imagination. Breakfast - well nothing to write home about. One of th emost limited choices availabe I met during my travelling. In restaurants not always English...

This hotel states that it has sound proofed rooms and "we pay special attention to our clients". There is a 'relaxing area, where you will be able to read a book". The air conditioning is so inefficient that it does little more than blow warm air. And the wooden beamed roof creaks and groans as it contracts through the night....

I was about to be there for my second time and the remarks where about to be the same: noise coming from the lobby to the rooms, the remote control of the TV is a case study (you cannot manage to even switch on the TV without having a master in telecommunications i.e.). However I come back with a personal...

Breakfast was excellent on both mornings. The tapas in the bar were very acceptable as was the cold white wine. The Internet was poor and I even tried a cable ,but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is incredible to see how XXI century modern buildings and the Igartza historical monuments stand harmoniously together. Perfectly integrated into this setting, Dolarea is one of the monuments of this group. The hotel building is a very original XVII century country house that has kept its character and its exterior image. Upon entering the hotel, we find a totally reconstructed interior. In plain contrast to the exterior, the interior spaces are modern and functional, more in place in modern times, and full of structural influences. The hotel offers 20 fully equipped rooms that guarantee the comfort and rest of guests, and all of the services that should be offered by hotels of it’s caliber. ... more   less
