Main positive points: Nice room clean Good location and quiet WIFI functions Helpful staff but limited english ability Main negative points Sub standard breakfast Modest but refurbished bathroom No aircondition (a fan was provided) TV is not a normal TV requires a smart phone and Chromcast app installed. I didn’t mange. A sign in the room prohibits consumption of beverages and food not bougt in the hotel on all hotel premises. The threat is a 50€ fine!!!! Never seen this before. Probably impossible to enforce Poor english language comperence in staff
This hotel is a fair choice mainly due to it's location near the main street in Modra. It is clean and calm with small summer garden in the cemter, wellness center and swimmimg pool. They also offer pottery classes and museum which is significant art in this region. Hotel staff is really friendly and always helpful. We were booking our rooms quite in advance and we had to pay 100% deposit which was explaimed to us as necessary due to higher demand during this time period. There was hardly anybody else in the hotel when we came. Rooms are normal size and clean however without AC. There is a TV available but only for chromecast use (you can only watch your videos and photos or stream YouTube videos from your phone). Wi-fi was working well and is separate for each room. During our short stay our rooms were not cleaned at all and room service did not provide new toiletries even after we've asked for them. All in all our stay was okay. The main positives are location and staff, big negative is the room service and no AC in the rooms. …
Not a 4 star hotel. It's more like a hostel wanting to be something else. The lack of coverage for wifi sucks. You have to borrow an ethernet cable for internet access. The breakfast and pool times are weird. They will charge you more for pool in the afternoon/evenings. The bed is hard as a rock. There is no Air Conditioning. There is only 4 channels on TV. The ONE restaurant closes at 8PM. They do not refill your room toiletries. Some positives: The staff speaks good enough English. Elevator works. The water pressure is nice.
Great location near Main Street; historical landmark hotel; friendly, courteous mult-lingual staff; wonderful delicious breakfast ; secure parking; clean rooms and comfortable beds; cannot wait to return
Stayed as one couple in a wedding party and was very happy with the facilities. Enjoyed a good range of breakfast dishes and very good coffee. The hotel has good secure private parking as well as plenty on the street. Wellness centre seemed to be much appreciated by other guests and with a nice and large internal courtyard there was plenty of opportunity for relaxation.
I was looking something near to Lozorno and with easy access to company. Quality to Price very good. Nice and clean room very friendly stuff. Great swimming pool that you can really swim. Good breakfast.
At the begining of December we decided to spend our business event in Hotel Majolika in Modra. The building of the hotel is a protected technical monument after reconstruction. Interior of the hotel is pretty nice but not corresponding with 4 stars. In my opinion hotel did not reach the quality of 4star rating. Example, double rooms are really small. On the other hand hotel offers quite atmosphere, pretty good wellness, proffesional stuff, quite good cuisine, conference rooms, etc. But still is something missing to be a 4star. We had private event in separate rooms with banquet. Food was delicious. We had also wine tasting prepared by local wine producer. Hotel bartender was really smart. He prepared a lot of quite good drinks. And he also showed us how to prepare some of mixed drinks from hotel menu. Waitress were kind but should be more professional regarding communication and servig the food. Bartender was tip top. Overall we were satisfied. I recommend this place also for bigger groups, events, family parties etc. …
On the expensive side for a hotel in the middle of nowhere but the rooms are clean service is good and the food is ok. 80 euros per night i believe is expensive. The city doesn't say much but luckily Bratislava is in close proximity so it's convenient
This is a very well presented hotel run by amateur/inexperienced staff. Everything went wrong from start to finish. We were shown an apartment and told it was a double, then there was a charge to use the swimming pool which we weren't told about at check-in, then the swimming pool was locked, then locker keys were delivered AFTER we'd got in the pool, then they said our friends' room (the apartment we had been shown) was double booked so they were moved to a double (the hotel was empty), then the locker keys were retrieved from my room while we were out later (couldn't they wait?) The rooms come complete with a book of rules and penalties, there's a message with the water "Enjoy your stay.....that'll be 2 euros" ... was that for the water or the greeting? who knows... after reading the rules I'm not sure. No air conditioning. The breakfast met with expectation but we were definitely the only guests in the hotel.…
We arrived around 3 ish seduced by the 4 star road sign. Having driven all day in 30c heat we all wanted a swim and cool down. We were shown a room and told all 3 rooms the same. We then came down for a swim only to be told there was a charge. This was never mentioned at check in. Then after a heated conversation and several attempts to gain access to pool we were interrupted and told our room was double booked (the place was empty) there's been a mistake and they would be moving us. We then left the pool area only to be locked out or the room with all our belongings in. The staff were rude and arrogant and the manager was totally unprofessional. Basically they couldn't give a toss. So in short we were lied to conned and extorted Be warned travelers take your custom elsewhere
