EPIC PARC is 200 hectares of rainforest nestled in Tanay Rizal with pine trees, mountainous slopes, greeneries with breathtaking views and diverse landscapes. In the area, Birdwatchers have sightings of 76 different species with countless century-old trees, wild & exotic plants abound. Tanay EPIC PARC Rainforest Camp has several unique nature trails. Some are for relaxing and peaceful strolls during which campers can appreciate the beauty of the forest. Other trails offer rugged terrain for the thrill seekers.Elma’s trail is a 700 meter trail which is narrow, steep and muddy. Durianan & Dagat-Dagatan Trails are appropriate for trekking, jogging and running a race ala Survivor Philippines as the ruggedness and wilderness of the forest challenges the camper’s journey back to the camp. Rosary Trail is a place for reflection and meditation. At Tanay EPIC PARC Rainforest Camp, we offer varied accommodations from camping grounds to standard rooms, dormitories & cottages…for more than 500 campers at one time.Tanay EPIC PARC Rainforest Camp has several multi-purpose halls that can hold 300-500 people. To name a few are Barker’s Sports Hall which can be used for games, sports and other activities. Adelaida Hall is composed of a Chapel, and an area for cultural activities as well for cocktails. Social Hall is meant to hold formal and informal seminar & team-building events. Our Mess Hall serves as the main dining area & reception lounge. The Amphitheatre is stone-laden, rip-rapped and open air. It is an excellent venue to perform & showcase one’s talents & skills.

Tarictic Hornbills, Scale-feathered Malkohas, Rough-crested Malkohas, Balicassiao and many other forest birds can be spotted here at the Eco Parc. I would advise staying overnight so you can wake up to the bird calls and get an early start on birding. The accomodations are very nice with ensuite rooms good for 3-4 people. Or, you can bring your own tent and rough it out. Being up in the mountains ensures for cool breezes and walking the various trails is wonderful exercise. They will cook your meals, too, if you let them know in advance.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Manila and commune with nature, Epic Parc is a good place to go. It's located in Tanay and a good 2 hours away from the metropolis. For those who like durian, they sell organic, yummy durian! They also serve organic food. Nice place - not your luxurious type but good enough.

We managed to arrange to stay here just after Christmas for one night. That meant that it was largely deserted so we could enjoy the forest trails (the longer ones had not been maintained) and walk among the trees and do some bird watching. The buildings were clean and well maintained. We stayed in air con rooms but did not need the a/c since it was cool enough. Beds and facilities basic but more than adequate. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is an adventure/team-building assault course but we did not try it. A small farm with pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys that was interesting to visit. The camp does host schools and company events so it could be less enjoyable if sharing it with a hundred or so others, but the property is large enough that one can probably still find a quiet place even in those circumstances.There is a camp ground, dormitories and then private rooms and a cottage.…

I did not spend a whole lot of time in this place but I was able to walk around the vicinity because of a company event we had there. It was very refreshing there being away from the warm city. It is filled with fruit trees and various insects and birdlife. They offer other services such as birdwatching, leadership camps and team building activities. Although I am sure there are adventure camps similar to EPIC Park, being able to experience nature surely is a blessing nowadays.
