This gracious old building is well maintained and run. It's full of imbuia furniture and gentle water colour paintings. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms functional. The highlight is the generous and freshly cooked breakfast that guests up for a day of exploring the fairest Cape. The hosts are friendly and chatty but do not ever intrude. It's truly...

The Sonnekus Guest House is in front of the see, less than 100m and therefore in a walking distance to the beach. In front of the house (Main Road) there is space to park. The parking do not belong them but it is under surveillance. Also at nights. Some of the rooms have window in direction of the see and...

We loved Pat and Mike’s bed and breakfast. Pat takes the “breakfast” part of the title very seriously! As other reviewers have mentioned, the spread is great, the service equally fantastic, and we also enjoyed the boxed breakfast to go Pat prepared us when we wanted to arrive at the National Park early one the morning. In all cases we...

The staff at Sonnekus made me feel at home from the moment I sat foot in the door. The lady was very accommodating. She made extra effort to make me feel welcome. Her breakfast is divine, and allot of effort are put into the preparation.

The rooms are cleaned every single day, and the owners are simply lovely, professional and caring. They always had a few nice words to the guests in the morning which made me feel really like...

We are lucky to stay at Sonnekus at least once a year and always feel it is like coming home. The location is excellent and a stone's throw from safe bathing, charming village shops and so many coffee shops and restaurants. The rooms are all very spacious and the linen and towels of high quality. Every detail is attended to,...

What a lovely guest house; the owners aim for excellence and they certainly achieve that. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and the view outstanding. The breakfasts were the best. Next time we will ask for a room off the main road though. We have already recommended this guest house to a lot of friends and family.
