This is the second time we have stayed with Pat and Mike and each time it feels like coming home. They make sure you are as comfortable as possible and are always around if needed without being intrusive. Our daughter never stops talking about them as they have become part of our family. Nick as well cooks amazing breakfast in...

We had a pleasant and relaxing stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and homely - and with an incredible view over False Bay, you are greeted in the morning by spectacular sunrises. The antique furnishings were of a very high quality and aesthetically pleasing. The breakfasts were sumptuous and delicious. The location is ideal for a holiday - there is...

From location to the attentive friendly service it is a credit to Pat and Mike that this little Gem of a B & B is so so good. Homely and traditional with large rooms right on the beach front in an amazing location. Large fridge always accessible downstairs full of drinks that you simply take as required and note what...

We stayed four times at Sonnekus and each and every time we loved it. There is no need to repeat all the other positive comments and contributions here, it's simply true ! Pat, Mike and Nick together and each in their own unique way, make you feel home at Sonnekus.

My wife and I spent 9 days at the Sonnekus Guest House in the St. James section of Capetown, South AFrica. Our room was beautiful, with a view of the ocean, which was just across the street. The bed was big, and comfortable. The hot food portion of our breakfasts were custom-made, along with plates of fresh meats, cheeses, fruits,...

The location of Sonnekus Guest House right next to the beach gives it a relaxing holiday feel, but is still easy to access Cape Town or any other location on the peninsula from here. The spacious, beautifully furnished rooms with stunning sea and mountain views are comfortable with a homely atmosphere. This, combined with the friendly professional service and good...

So I can honestly appreciate that this is someone making a living but where are the days that hospitality was key... so many people run the B & Bs strictly like business that you no longer feel welcome. Well the Sonnekus Guest House was amazing they made us feel right at home, we...

This gracious old building is well maintained and run. It's full of imbuia furniture and gentle water colour paintings. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms functional. The highlight is the generous and freshly cooked breakfast that guests up for a day of exploring the fairest Cape. The hosts are friendly and chatty but do not ever intrude. It's truly...
