This could have been a great hotel but was disappointed on many levels. Family of 3. Due to the previous great reviews which we chose this hotel in, we are unsure if this is due to COVID however we think this is unlikely. We were very surprised that it wasn’t what we were expecting. Room We upgraded for the Ionian Superior room, so access to the swim up area. Room was beautiful and big and like a 5 star (even though know it’s a 4 star) but missing small things. No shaving mirror (usually standard on most hotel rooms) No extra toiletries in bathroom, shower gel and one small piece of soap to wash hands that just about managed 2 week stay was the only toiletries available. Fridge - one medium size bottle of water. No bottles of water available in resort only via cups at bar or buy big bottles at supermarket and refill at bar. Never had this is ANY hotel, reason was to reduced plastic waste - which would have been perfectly acceptable and encouraged had it not been for thousands of small plastic cups that were used at the bar not the usual reusable hard plastic that could be washed (these alternatives were seen at other hotels in Paphos) so not a COVID reason. No dry rails for towels on balcony: this meant everyone hung towels over the balconies. Swim suits had to be dried out on chairs on balcony. (Basic) Entertainment is right in front of Ionian area. So if that’s not your thing it’s very noisy till late. No real quiet area to go in the evenings instead. Pools: Swim up area was beautiful with plenty of sunbeds, people up early but was always able to get bed no problem. Swim up bar not open - informed due to COVID but other hotel ones were (we had friends staying in 2 other Paphos hotels). I do not understand the rationale for this which only served to have bigger more crowded queues at splash park bar. The main pool is lovely, very warm and beach gradient which was good for little ones. However we did not set up at all there as mainly there was no available sunbeds. Hotel staff did get this under control after one week as people leaving towels out very early and in some cases the night before! There were different wrist bands if you were able to use the Ionian pool (Gold) however generally people adhered to this but were not checked by staff so open to use at times. Food and Drinks We have been to many all inclusive stays and can always find something to eat and often question when reviewers complain. However I have to say the food was very below expectations compared to usual all inclusive and other HV hotels. The food is VERY limited and repetitive. Small buffet selection but with a different theme each night, yet the food still felt similar. Deserts were minimal and for 2 weeks the fruit selection every dinner was watermelon, white melon and grapes, sometimes this was accompanied by a unripened pear! This was surprising as breakfast was our most favoured meal time with plenty of varied selection of fruit (just not available at lunch or dinner). Wine was passable, just. Cocktails were limited and many were an additional charge, for example Mojito is charged extra (no all inclusive have we been charged extra for that type of cocktail). If you get a charged cocktail they are at least bigger than the small all inclusive drinks. The small drinks are quite ridiculous and as mentioned leads to lots of plastic waste. A suggestion would be to provide a large reusable drink cup on arrival to use through the stay, I wasn’t really expecting to pack that! We went out several times for dinner as really could not face the dinner repeat, however found great places out to eat. Recommend suite48, Antasia beach bar/restaurant, Ficardo. Staff Staff worked extremely hard and long hours, really friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned regularly and towels changed regularly. Overall We did not find this hotel good value for money, most expensive we have paid for a summer stay abroad all inclusive. We picked this due to good reviews and swim up bar despite other options with higher star rating for less money. Think the Ionian made it looked more attractive than the actual content of what you got. Ok stay, could be a fantastic hotel but needs some definite changes to make it that. Will not be returning and would not recommend, think there is better HV hotels. Kids Club Issues booking on as you had to be ready and waiting at 6pm, which then would go straight away. Our son did not end up doing any clubs in 2 weeks as was quite limited for a 11 year old.

Food was good - the buffet was varied and hot (please remember walking around the buffet for 10 mins is going to cool down your food before you get back to your table 😂) Room and communal areas were clean Staff were friendly and attentive - shvelte at pool bar was our fave member of staff the whole holiday woo woooooo The HV Staff were lovely and had a great presence around the resort. We had a 2.5 year old who enjoyed swim class, football lesson, teddy bear picnic, pool party as well as being able to use the crèche if required The pools were great There is literally something for EVERYONE The entertainment and activities are frequent and only for a duration of 30 mins or so - which is great as you can dip in and out as you wish If you go across to the beach, opposite the hotel there are some beds right on the beach that HV guests can use free of charge. Wonderful walk right along to the harbour too. Please remember this hotel and the staff have had a really challenging year as we all have and they could not be more accommodating to give you a wonderful holiday BE KIND.

Hotel- Good communication from the reception prior to travel via email. Requests were achieved. This felt like a disjointed hotel made up of three main parts. The reception/ionian new building with swim up rooms. These are sort of seperate from everything and really designed for adults or those wedding guests. Guests given a gold band here, with everyone else given purple. A class system to stop people swiming in the swimup pool areas. The fishing village which is the main area for purple bands. The aegean- the foreign element which looks mostly closed with only a few guests and looks unkept. There is a well equipt supermarket. The grounds are nice enough, but alot more maintenence needs to be done- i.e repairs to numerous things around the hotel eg: toilet doors, soap dispensers, tables, parasoles, tiling, stonework etc. In this regard the hotel trails behind other HVs that are maintained to a superior standard. -Room- Standard Studio room(1264). This consisted of double bed, sofa bed(child suitable) kitchen area, bathroom and balcony. Excellent location in-between both restaurants and poolside. Clean and plainly decorated with good A/C. The tree branches outside our room stairs had to be bent back behind the handrail, so we could get up the staircase. Not a great arrival at 10pm. -Food- Breakfast and lunch is in main building and evening meal is in a totally separate building opposite the aegean part. Snack bar is at the poolside. Two drinks bars next to the pools. The food was EXTREMELY disappointing. Not the normal HV standard. The range is very limited and repetitive with the quality being very very poor. For this reason alone, we would not return. This was the major negative for our holiday. We didnt expect fine dining but ill say we saw and spoke to people resorting to ordering mcdonalds or eating out due to the quality of the food in the hotel. However- we visited the bookable Indian restaurant onsite, which was really lovely! So we thankfully had one lovely meal during our stay. -Pool- Purple bands- One large pool divided into two around the iconic lighthouse. Kids mini splash park and a small 1m depth pool. Gold bands- can use the above plus the swimup pool areas. The two kid targeted pools are this hotels main USP. They are shallow and walk-in-able for young ones. The beachshore like construction is fantastic. The mini splash park is also fantastic for little ones. Great for families with small children. -Entertainment- The best part about the holiday/hotel was the TUI events teams. The activities are numerous and easily bookable via the app. The evening entertainment was energetic and entertaining. We loved the dancing and quizes. They all worked very very hard and made the holiday fun and enjoyable. Thankyou! -Trips- (Wavedancer)Half day bbq boat trip - not for kids! Would not recommend at all. If you like cheesy uk music from 40yrs ago while on a rocky boat trip, which then stops in the middle of nowhere, then fine. We would not recommend. As avid snorkellers, this trip was highly disappointing. The trip was oversubscribed to the point there wasnt enough sunbeds and we were shown to a wobbly table and chairs to sit at for the duration of our experience. There was no TUI presence at all on this trip. Missold this by the rep on the front desk. The app to book trips is advertising trips you cant do and the information is misleading on other excursions. The TUI rep agreed with this when we raised it, but nothing was done. -HV/TUI App- Easy to manage holiday details and book daily kids entertainments. Excursions through the app needs looking at and fixing. -TUI reps/staff- Entertainments team fantastic! The hotel bar staff were fantastic and so happy. Always willing to make creative cocktails. The TUI complaints reps on front desk were smiley and helpful on the face of it, but actually didnt resolve issues or go above and beyond to help guests. We raised issues including the App, food and a trip. We recieved no acknowledgment or resolutions following this. -Overall- The pools were great for our family. The entertainments team was absolutely fantastic and by far the highlight of this location. The hotel seemed around 60% occupied, which was positive. I would imagine standards would drop further if this hotel was full however. The food and TUI excursion was terrible, and not resolved or acknowledged by the TUI rep, despite being raised. The hotel maintenence needs attention. We would NOT return or recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 11 nights with our 4 year old and 8 year old children.we managed to upgrade to a swim up room with was amazing!! It was really nice and a modern room. The hotel staff are really friendly and all the HV reps are really nice and cannot do enough for you. Cyprus is a beautiful place and there is plenty to do around the hotel, splash Park and water sports over the road and the harbour is a 25 min walk away. I must say I felt let down by our visit, the pool cleanliness was bad... I seen the pool get cleaned out once during our stay and the pool was closed for 3 days due to code browns in the pool. There was alot of rubbish in the bottom of the pool also this also cause 3 of the 4 of us to be ill for 4 days. The food is OK. Its not amazing but what do you expect for all inclusive.. The cleaner came every day except Sundays but they never changed the sheets. I was expecting more from this hotel as it had been hyped up to us but we have stopped in far better hotels. We will be returning back to Cyprus but not back to this hotel

Not to sure where to begin with this review. Currently staying in the Ionian block with my little boy and my parents for a family holiday. We arrived on Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival there was not information given just a piece of paper of bar opening times. Pools are good my little boy is enjoying the splash pool. Disappointed that many of the things advertised on the tui brochure and also the resort website are not actually here. Rooms are not cleaned to even a simple standard everywhere is extremely dirty. Have to ask for more towels daily 4 people in 1 room and only towels given. Sheets changed every 3 days but not changed fully for example bottom sheets but no top sheet or proper cover. Food is poor quality and cold every night. The children’s buffet that is supposedly children friendly comprise of the same thing each night cold pasta cold rice carrot and cucumber sticks Extremely disappointed my little boy can’t participate in any activities due to not being 3 yet All issues and concerns fall onto deaf ears Sad to say we will not return to this resort and if we had booked this and paid full price and not the reduce price due to our holiday to turkey being cancelled I would be even more disappointed. Sadly we are not the only holiday makers that have these concerns and issues
