We had a lovely family holiday here during the summer holidays. We stayed in an Ionian Superior Room with Partition and felt this was well worth the increase in cost compared to staying in the fishing village. We have two young children, age 5 and 3.
Positives: - Rooms were lovely & modern. Spacious & well equipped - A range of pool areas to choose from, all with a different vibe so there’s something for everyone. It wasn’t a struggle to get a bed but if you like a particular spot, you will need to be up early to get your towel down, particularly around the Ionian pool! - Great choice of food, particularly in the evenings with the different themes every night. Some of the best AI food we’ve experienced. - Staff work SO hard. They are always on the move, always doing, and always smiling. They love children & always made a fuss of our boys which they enjoyed. - Well located, close to shops / bars / beach (though not a great beach - well worth a trip to Coral Bay instead) and easy to access the Waterpark & harbour.
Negatives: - Though the purple team work incredibly hard, I can see why there’s a lot of negative reviews about evening entertainment. There’s nothing particularly for adults until 9pm, and even then, it’s not great quality so it isn’t as good as other hotels in that respect if you’re looking for adult entertainment on an evening. - The cleaning of the room wasn’t brilliant. We did complain about this to reception quite early in the holiday but it wasn’t done to a top standard in our opinion. It was a quick surface level clean but nothing more.
Allergies: - This is where the hotel really stood out for us & is one of the best we’ve visited for allergy management, Both of our boys have allergies, one severe, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Elena was absolutely incredible and we are so grateful to her for always being on hand, checking we had everything we needed and going to double check labels for us! We had fresh meals made when we asked as well as dairy free cheese, yoghurts & milks on hand. It was also amazing to have “ice cream” options for him from the ice cream hut during the day - although this was sorbet, it was kept free from cross contamination & our son was able to feel “normal” going up to order his ice cream in a cone.
Thank you Aliathon for an amazing holiday!

We arrived around 10pm. A bonus that it's about 20 mins from airport. Check in was simple, easy and quick (5mins)
We stayed in the Ionian rooms directly above reception and with a private pool area for ionian guests only. (We never used this as pool was freezing and drinks were not made great at that pool bar). The room was facing the entertainment and was super loud until 11.30, given that we had a 3month old and 4 year old I asked to change to a quieter room. They were so understanding and helpful, immediately without hesitation said "you have small children and must be tired, go to sleep and will swap you in the morning" and that's exactly what happened we got the room directly opposite us facing the road and it was peaceful and quiet. The only thing I would say is the doors are not great at stopping noise and it's super noisy at night when guests are returning to their rooms. Also cleaning lady is lovely but the cleaning was poor. All that was really done was beds made and new towels. The sink and toilet remained dirty for the 11 days of our stay and the floors were always feeling gritty and we had to wipe our feet on towels every night before getting to bed or the bed would get dirty.
The food is absolutely amazing!! We have travelled all around the world and I must admit as vegetarian it normally gets samey however the hotel managers were absolutely wonderful, would check in on us daily make us alternative options if we asked without hesitation. So much choice, best food quality and our favourite was the hot puddings ever evening 🫶🏼
The kids club is by far the best we have ever seen as most resorts we have travelled to cater mainly for German and Russian guests. My little boy was over the moon that they could communicate and understand they include all the children and everyday is a new adventure!
Now for the improvements that I would say are needed for it to actually hit a 4* the sunbeds and drinks tables are absolutely filthy! They are never jetwashed and cleaned, people all day sweating over them and spilling drinks and they are never cleaned. It's not hygienic at all and one of the reasons I'm not sure I would return. There is visible black mould on the backs of the Sen beds and under the tables and it's very poor for a resort of this calibre. Its a simple thing that can be done in the evenings when the staff are placing the sunbeds back in order and tidying the pool area. First resort I have been in that doesn't clean the sunbeds. Bedroom doors need to be more soundproof and cleaning in rooms really does need to improve
Over all I would say a beautiful 4* family resort full of adventure for the kid. Food aplenty for all vegetarian and vegan ppl. Thank you for a great holiday experience! 💖

The rooms (ionian area) are quite spacious and kept immaculately clean. Had to request extra towels some days, delivered promptly. The pools have plenty of sunbeds. Lifeguards would lay cards on beds that had towels on them not being used. After approximately 90min the items were removed. Ionian swim up pool bar is for gold bands only. The bar staff reinforced this too. Had seen some rude guests being told of this rule. The ice cream and sorbet hut is excellent. Advised management of an issue and it was sorted within 10 minutes. Now safe for allergens. I am a coeliac and the restaurant for breakfast was excellent. Elena G was always available to request pancakes/bread/cereal. I would also order food for lunch and evening meal. Always greeted with a smile and asked what I would like. Tony the restaurant manager would also be there and deal with issues. Each meal was made in the kitchen and delivered directly to my table to avoid cross contamination. They had every dish clearly labelled too.
Tony even arranged for a birthday cake for my daughter on her birthday, complete with her name on it. Above and beyond care.
Yannis is one of the hotel management and is always found going around on his Scooter, very approachable and friendly. Any problem was dealt with immediately - ice cream hut cross contamination sorted!
On the Friday, managers BBQ day, Yannis was greeting everyone offering to get them drinks from the bar. He recognised me as I'd spoken to him before, remembered I'm a coelaic and went to the bar and returned with a San Miguel gluten free beer in a bottle. Checked I was happy then poured into a glass for me to enjoy. That is definitely a memorable moment!

Went with my daughter, husband and 3 year old. When booked my son in law requested 2 ground floor rooms. When we arrived after 10 I was up 3 flights of stairs (38) in total I'm 75 in reasonable good health but in the heat suffer with my breathing. We were in the fishing village. Daughter's room upstairs too but just two flights. Next day we asked to be moved which they did for us to two ground floor rooms which were a good 8 minutes walk to the main pools and entertainment area. We were told we couldn't use the swimming pools nearest our rooms as we were only purple bands. All inclusive obviously doesn't mean all inclusive to everything. I found the food excellent and plenty to chose from, our rooms were quite near the restaurant but if you wanted a drink in the bar before dinner an 8 minutes slog to the bar and another 5 minute slog back to the restaurant in 30° heat, I know the resort can't help the temperature but it was really hot for the eleven days we were there There was wine and beer on tap in the restaurant if that was your tipple and soft drinks. Not ideal if you fancy a cocktail. I like to be economic with the room towels and don't need them changing daily, however the maid changed them even if they weren't on the floor but didn't always replace them with the same amount she removed. I made tea and coffee in the room but these were never washed by her. I did rinse myself had I known I would be doing my own would have bought a tea towel and washing up liquid. Most of the staff in the bars and restaurants very friendly and pleasant, and the manager could often be seen around the resort on his s scooter greeting the guests and making sure everything was ok, even seeing us off when we left. My granddaughter loved the splash pool and was in there all day, as was I too. The big pools were very warm. I did go in one of the swim up pools one day, against the rules and this seemed much cooler and better. All in all apart from my moaning it was a lovely holiday, some of the entertainment after the kids show was ok. A very funny clown type bloke one night was really good. The TUI staff seemed to work really hard in the extreme heat.

Just back from an amazing week at the Aliathon. We stayed in the Ionian block in a 2 bed room, which was essentially 2 hotel rooms with an interconnecting door. Meaning 2 bathroom facilities and plenty of space for 5 of us. The rooms had a separate room for the shower and toilet which was increadibly convenient. The addition of the nespresso machine in the room was a useful commodity to have (although take your own with you as you do only get 2 pods for the duration of your stay). The rooms were cleaned daily and plenty of fresh towels left. The grounds are huge with a variety of pools, all of which are cleaned regularly with staff always about taking away glasses and litter even before you have managed to stand up to move them to the many bin stations. The food was fantastic. The pizza's at the snack bar were some of the best I have ever tasted, made fresh through out the day with a variety of toppings. Ice cream in its own dedicated hut with a choice of a cone or a bowl. The 2 out door bars offered the same choice with very good measures - I highly recommend the Electric Lemonade!! The restaurant had plenty of choice, even for fussy eaters, but instead of having lots of different dishes of mediocre food, there was a choice of 5 dishes plus pasta and fresh veggies inside and a further 2-3 barbecued dishes outside focusing on taste and quality - the beef stifado and beef fajita were beautiful. Management BBQ round the pool on a Friday is great with a variety of food on offer. Plus frozen cocktails served by Management on Saturday lunchtime. Management had a presence around the hotel daily Yiannis was always about on his scooter making sure everyone was happy - he even saw everyone off onto the transfer coaches at the end of the week which was a nice touch. The entertainment team were fantastic, they all work so hard and remember everyone they come into contact with. The shows were great and plenty of participation - even managed to get my super shy son onto stage to win a Russel the Brussel t-shirt!! Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend this hotel for families and we wouldn't hesitate to return in the future.

I just got back in the early hours of this morning. I don't write many reviews but felt obliged to do so because of our family's fantastic experience. Our family group was myself , my wife, my mum, our daughter, her husband, three grandkids aged 7, 5 and 3 and our adult son. We stayed for 7 nights and our experience was excellent from start to finish. Food in the breakfast buffet and the evening buffet was varied and constantly filled and to a very high quality. We used the snack bar near the pool most lunchtimes which also had an excellent choice of hot and cold options. Drinks quality Coffee, various Teas, all inclusive drinks were excellent and if you wanted something special the non all inclusive cocktails were very reasonably priced. All the staff were fantastic, very attentive, constantly clearing tables. The bar staff were all great, the children's entertainment team were great with kids and adults alike. Rooms were spotless. every toilet I used across the complex were also very clean and always had toilet roll, paper towels and soap. Our family travel a lot, and I can safely say this hotel is a very well run, professionally staffed hotel that offers great value for money. I would like to congratulate, the manager, Jannis and his team for a job very well done, you gave us a perfect holiday. Even at our departure, Jannis gave everyone on our bus a personal goodbye, as we got on the bus, excellent customer service. Thanks again to all.

We have just returned from 7 nights at Aliathon (our 2nd visit after getting married there 2 years ago!) We was greeted off the transfer bus by 2 members of staff playing the KouKou Move song. Check in was fast and we was soon in the buggy with our luggage being taken to our room. We booked a 2 bedroom fishing village. We was given room 1240, an upstairs room with a massive terrace. Very happy with it. Clean and spacious.
Pool areas are amazing. We had our 3 year old with us and she loved the walk in pool and the splash pool. The floor gets very hot so I'd say get the little ones some swim shoes to walk about in. Only let down with the pool areas was the dreaded sunbed situation! Even though on the welcome letter in your room is says they have a 'no sunbed saving policy', every morning by 9am, all sunbeds had towels on and majority of them had no bums on seats! No one vetted the area.
The food is good but very repetitive especially the evening meals. We really enjoyed the pool snack bar with fresh salads, pizzas, burgers, nuggets, chips, puddings, fruit etc.
I can't fault any of the staff, from the groundsmen, cleaners, reception, reps and the best hotel manager we have ever had! He remembered us from 2 years ago which was lovely. All staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The kids club was amazing, different activities every day in cool air conditioned rooms. The evening entertainment is great. They have so much energy! Singing, dancing, shows and audience participation games. Brilliant.
Overall, we would definitely return to Aliathon and would recommend to everyone.

Me and my family usually stay in Menorca at a splash hotel and fancied something different and this hotel did not fail. Positives - HV staff was absolutely amazing with all aged children and entertainment throughout the day and night. Every member of staff in the hotel made you feel like welcome and that nothing was too much. Alex one of the drivers of the buggies was fantastic, polite and funny. Manager Yianis always around the hotel on his scooter helping and being involved. The evening food is served in another restaurant and is fantastic one of the best All Inclusive we have had. We hired a car for 2 days from one of the local places and was very reasonable around 180 euros for a 7 seater. We took our own drinks bottles / cups and staff filled them up no questions.
Critical comment - Fishing village kids den room could do with a little face lift but was a great size room for me and my family. Entertainment on an evening could have been so much better a lot was done by the exhausted HV staff, we was there 14 night and only sore 3 professional acts. Sun beds very comfy however could be cleaned better as always dirty. Chairs and tables around the stage are in great need of a deep clean very dirty but almost engraved a little off putting when you have got your good gear on.

Beautiful resort, staff are excellent, big shoutout to the catering, bar, restaurant staff and the cleaners; food was always superb, fresh and delicious. Restaurants were well managed and the resort was immaculately kept. Worth booking all inclusive so you can take full advantage of the hospitality which included a beach party night with sparkling wine, candy floss, hot dogs, popcorn and entertainment. Each evening the restaurant offered a themed menu with an enormous range of food options. White wine was a little harsh for us but we’re not wine connoisseurs! 😆 A lunchtime management barbecue was a great addition to the week too.
During the day there are staff taking used glasses and rubbish away from you as you laze in the sun; plenty of Sun loungers and towels available from the spa in exchange for a towel card. The resort is beautifully landscaped and there is an area where citrus trees were growing and fruit was growing on them.
We visited for our honeymoon and were delighted to find a bottle of fizz and a fruit platter in our room on arrival which was very welcome after a long day travelling.
Massage in spa was best my husband and I have ever had (and I’ve had hundreds) and we were given two gift items too. Spa pool was too cold for me but we did visit in October and they don’t heat it. Gym was great, well equipped and clean.
There are additional bars, shops and restaurants in the plaza which you can benefit from a discount in as a resort guest, including the Haagen Dazs store!!
Evening entertainment was great for the kids but a little lacking for the adults, however there were karaoke nights and tribute nights in the bars in the plaza if you wanted to experience them.
A seven minute walk to the beach.
I cried as we checked out and left this beautiful place so will be booking again very soon.

This is review of the Holiday Village concept rather than of the hotel itself - which is lovely. As a 1st timer there was lots I wish I had known before getting there, so this is to help anyone like me.
1. You NEED the Holiday Village app, as you use it to register your child for activities and see the schedules. You get alerts about activities etc as well which is useful. I had problems downloading this whilst there so do it in the UK beforehand!
2. I thought there was a lot of assumption that we knew the layout, there are maps but we didn't find one until day 3, and I thought the signage was poor for walking about. It's not as big as the maps suggest - we were worried about walking to each end as shops etc are spread out, but actually it's 10 mins end to end.
3. The a-la-carte restaurants get booked about 4 days in advance so pounce on them the minute you arrive. You can definitely book the Greek one a 2nd time (and just pay) via Reception rather than the app, so I would ask if you could do the same with the Mexican as well if you like it - we didn't get chance to try it as it was fully booked all week. The Italian was lovely (paid for) with super-sized portions. The pub (also to pay for) is excellent and good value.
4. A lot of the activities you sign up for on the same morning, so we missed out on a few with being at Football (the academy was brilliant) when signing-up times were open. I was on my own so if you're a couple it would be much easier.
Overall this was a great holiday for just me and my granddaughter. The fantastic Swimming Instructors Grace & Molly did wonders with her, and Stu at Football was organised and encouraging. All of the entertainment crew were permanently 'on', they worked hard and oversaw a lot of fun.
The hotel itself I will leave others to review, save to say that I don't normally like buffets but I thought the food here was great. The housekeeping was spot on, and the General Manager was permanently speeding round on his segway checking on people with a smile, I saw him one day at 7am and the same day at around 8pm!
