This is the perfect hotel if you want to enjoy amazing food and drink whilst lounging by the pool for a very relaxing holiday. Food - amazing quality and superb range every night, restaurant quality which is hard to find in buffets/self service. Each night there is a different theme but you can always find something you’ll like. Salad bar exceptional as is the dessert bar. The Japanese and Greek restaurants in the hotel were also brilliant. Drinks - if you’re all inclusive they offer premium spirits and a huge cocktail list, as well as every other soft drink you would want, mocktails, milkshakes, you ask for it - they’ll do it. Which takes me on to my next point: the thing that stands out for this hotel is the staff. They go above and beyond at all times to ensure you’re enjoying your stay and you’re happy, nothing was too much trouble for them. Big thank you and shout out to Thiannis, Penny, Giorgos and Sofia. Can’t speak highly of them enough. Would definitely return, it was worth every penny.

Just returned from two long weeks at the Ivi Mare. Nice Hotel, very expensive, helpful reception staff, very clean all around the hotel, the maids work very hard, HOWEVER New hotel with a few teething problems mmmmm, biggest problem not enough staff around the pool and in the restaurants. Around the pool you are ignored if your not female 18-20 and wearing a thong, we lost count of the times we had to go to the bar and order our own drinks, not a great hardship but hey this is 5 star. Only one Female and one Male Toilet for the pool unless you go into the hotel soaking wet walk over marble floors to use the toilet. On two occasions we had to clear our own plates from the main restaurant as they just didn't have enough staff, when I questioned management about this they just said they were having problems getting staff!! I did explain that they had taken my money but were unable to provide a 5 star service. The food in the restaurant was warm at best we continually complained about this but the temperature was not increased until mid way through our last week, this was after everybody in our party (4) had experienced the trots!!! Management have a very peculiar idea of background music, OMG BOOM BOOM BOOM that's all we ever got, in the restaurant, in the bar all over, You do NOT want to hear this when you are trying to eat your meal or having a relaxing drink in the bar. Entertainment has to be the worst we have ever experienced, on one occasion we actually had a very good young lady signing however unless you are eating in the outside section of the restaurants where do you sit and listen ??? they have about a dozen tables with very laid back chairs, not the sort you can sit in for several hours. During this time trying to get a drink was virtually impossible unless you went into the hotel and up one floor to the main bar as they close the pool bar during the evening? The hotel looks out over the sea with the front over the main road, we knew this when we booked as no sea view rooms were available, however what we didn't realise was the close proximity to the main road and the Casino opposite!! we were on the second floor with the Casino security camera looking directly onto our balcony. We asked reception if we could move rooms to be told it would be an extra £300 per week per room £1,200, you can imagine our dismay and hurt when during our last week on talking to some other couples we found that they had been upgraded to sea view rooms free of charge. Do not expect a beach as the hotel has some grassy area full of weeds, rubbish and broken glass as its access to the sea. If you walk around the headland you will find that other hotels have developed these areas, cleared all the rubbish and rocks and have sun loungers dotted around. As these are public beaches you can use them to gain access to the sea but the sun loungers are for hotel guests only. The hotel could be so much better with just some small improvements, nice modern hotel but honestly not 5 star or 5 star service.

This isn't your normal review. My wide and I are staying in Paphos for our honeymoon at another hotel and looking to return to Paphos next June. We had read reports of Ivi Mare and wanted to see for ourselves. We took a walk from our hotel and entered asking receptionist (a charming lady who's name we didn't get) if we could just have a look around as we were contemplating staying next year. She was happy to oblige and we began looking around. What can I say? Stunning doesn't do it justice. Very minimalistic which is great but clean and classy. Downstairs we went to look at the buffet restaurant and immediately the manager Polis invited us to sit down and have breakfast on the hotel. No charge, just "enjoy". Served by a very pleasant and attentive Rafael. Food excellent, well labelled and plenty of choice in pristine surroundings. We then ventured to pool area which even at 9 in the morning was not overcrowded with plenty of excellent quality sunbeds. The pool was gorgeous with a lovely view over the sea. What can I say? Once ee get home we will book this incredibly hospitable and slightly smaller Louis hotel. Thanks to all who made this decision so easy!

We visited for our honeymoon & really couldn’t fault the stay. We had a sea-view room which was fantastic, especially getting to see the sunset every evening. The buffet theme in the main restaurant was varied every evening with a wide range of options, all so tasty. The a la carte restaurants were fantastic & easy to book in to, though I will say the portion sizes are rather large. The sun loungers are exceptionally comfy with nice thick cushions. Drinks orders are also taken from the comfort of your lounger, a nice touch. The pool is large & has a lovely depth of 1.35m all the way round, meaning that there isn’t a cluster of people in a shallow end trying to avoid the depths of the deep end. If you’re interested in water sports then turn right out of the hotel along the coastal path & there is a water sports centre 100m further along. Any other excursions then reception will provide you with a whole host of information. The staff in the evening bar are also extremely friendly, especially Daisy and Agnes. Will definitely be coming back for another stay.

We’ve just returned from a great stay here and are already looking forward to heading back again next year. The hotel checkin was the best we have ever had, very friendly reception staff, quick, comfortable (take a seat, here’s a drink etc) and then straight to the room. Room was perfect, the look and see quality of it was great. Good size. It was a mountain view which is actually more ‘ugly waste ground and casino’ and was VERY noisy. Several nights we were woken by traffic noise, revving engines etc. I would avoid these rooms. Food was exceptionally good, quality throughout. It was a shame that so many items were not labelled as it was often a mystery (especially desserts). These should all be clearly labelled and also I don’t believe would comply with EU food labelling regulations for allergens etc. The a la carte restaurants were very good but WAY too much food (and we are both big eaters). The portions sizes are huge! It’s a real shame that it’s so hard to book tables in those restaurants though and clearly is designed to get more people using the buffet. Whenever we went there were fewer than half the tables taken, and didn’t see a single table inside used during the week. Service is brilliant in those restaurants except from that. We asked for a table for our last night to eat fast before a flight and was told both were fully booked. In reality less than a handful of tables were occupied. Staff in the buffet are dreadful. The worst I have ever known in any place I have ever eaten. Some such as the very tall man and the older lady with blond hair are just downright rude, terrible to the staff and the place should be embarrassed at their behaviour is not dealt with as it’s so obvious. Also staff there are desperate to clear plates to the point where we had plates removed multiple times before we finished eating, one time the older lady removed a piece of cutlery from my hand! We saw every day people return to their tables from getting food to find they had been cleared. Please just let people have a moment once they’ve finished, it not a race! The younger and newer staff are nice, work hard but are bullied by the older tall man in particular. The pool is the best we have known, it’s a perfect temperature so you can cool down but not be cold. Service around the pool was mostly good but I did feel they were too busy and more staff are needed. Also a better way to label loungers as the staff really struggled with endlessly searching and various drinks etc ended up at the wrong place. Location is good and a nice walk into town or past the other hotels.
