Called in mid week in the evening, v busy but found table in back bar which was comfortable, usual menu, we ate excellent chicken pie and fish and chips, they have an interesting selection of beers.
Usual high standard, will revisit and recommend.
Quintessential Lakeland country pub, typical of the area, and brimming with conviviality and goodwill. Brilliant location at village centre and can be walked to, from Skelwith Bridge, along the winding river.
The friendly restaurant staff deserve special mention at this traditional pub in a beautiful location. The pub grub is solid fayre with a good range of traditional dishes. Large portions are just what you need after a good day’s walking.
