My first visit to the Richmond Arms wasn't great . We were booked in the restaurant at six o clock for an early dinner , what a mistake that was , myself and partner arrived at 5.30 thinking it would be nice to sit and have a drink before dinner to find the pub was shut and not open till...

I well remember thinking after a previous visit that I would never wish to return to the Richmond Arms and when hearing that I was to go there as a guest my earlier memories of the place resurfaced. My concerns were not to be altered. If you are hard of hearing, the cacophony of noise caused by the clatter of...

We decided to stay here after reading the wonderful reviews about the food at the pub and were looking for a one night midweek stay somewhere nice and cosy - we had a wonderful time. The pub is only a short drive from Chichester Town centre so we spent the day there and retired back to the pub for the...

What can I say lovely staff, lovely surroundings and outstanding food, everything homemade and of a quality and consistency to be admired. I would recommend booking as they get busy and close when the owners go on holiday. How refreshing to see a place that works around the family who owns it, not willing to compromise quality over profit so...

Second review which I have not done before. Brilliant immaganitive food from a diverse interesting menu with the only problem not knowing what to choose. Excellent service from Anna who can guide you through the menu and wine list with in-depth knowledge. The result was memorable as ever and can't be faulted. We were celebrating a birthday and it was...

...to an old watering hole. We had the most wonderful evening at the Richmond Arms, celebrating two important birthdays. For me it was a trip down memory lane. I spent many happy hours here when I lived in the village, was like coming home but with the most fabulous changes. Rustic charm in keeping with an old Sussex village, charming...

We recently took a two night break here with friends using both bedrooms. We had one exceptional dinner and two indulgent breakfasts. I can only add to all the other comments, The Richmond Arms provides rooms with charming and calming facilities. The dinner was wonderful and they took the trouble to handle my allergies having written to them previously, I...

We stayed for one (Saturday) night to visit friends. After a fabulous, comprehensive breakfast the next day we were disappointed to have missed the opportunity to have eaten dinner there so will be back! Location was the key to our booking decision but would suggest it as an alternative to anyone thinking of visiting Chichester. It is quiet without being...

We recently held our Daughters wedding celebration here in the Woodfired bar. Everybody loved the venue, the food, the relaxed atmosphere and said what a welcome change from the usual corporate style receptions. Emma we cannot praise you, Anna and your staff enough, nothing was too much trouble and the young lady who greeted us with Pimms etc and later...

We were lucky to spend a night in this fantastic B & B. We visited Brighton for a few hours but didn't want to stay the night so after looking at the map we called The Richmond Arms and booked for the night. Wow what a find, although we didn't really want dinner after having a very late lunch in...
