My wife and a friend went on a yoga retreat here and i tagged along and we all had a fantastic time. I spent 4 days relaxing by the pool working on my tan whilst the ladies enjoyed 2 yoga sessions a day. The hotel comprises 2 separate buildings, both with pools (1 larger and heated) and a hammam where...

Tigmi is gorgeous. It's suitably far enough away from Marrakesh to be away from the hubbub but it's an affordable taxi to get there if you want to. Rooms are simply and beautifully decorated. Beds big and comfortable, plenty of hot water. Beautiful grounds and pool. Lovely food. Decent little spa. I went on a yoga retreat and I didn't...

This is our second visit to Tigmi for yoga retreat and extended holiday. On this occasion we upgraded to a suite which like the rest of the hotel is built in the traditional way blending in with the village. A very calming place with lovely views over the Atlas Mountains. We particularly love the peace, quality of service and food...

I've just returned from a fabulous yoga holiday at Tigmi. The rooms in the resort are spacious and built around secluded courtyards, each one different, with their own seating. There are also two pools with plenty of shelter and seating. The food was Moroccan style, delicious and plentiful with a good selection of wines and other alcoholic drinks. The resort...

Tigmi took me by surprise. Overall I would say this is more of a 4 star than 3, but the rustic nature of the buildings and staff to guest ratio probably keep it rated a 3. The hotel is located in a tiny Berber village a mere 20-30 minutes from the frenetic and wonderful city of Marrakech. The buildings and...

We stayed at Tigmi in May for a girl's weekend and could not have loved it more. The hotel is beautifully done up in a traditional style, the setting is stunning and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back again next year and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a...

I spent a week at Tigmi on a yoga retreat. I was more relaxed that week than my entire lifetime! Great food, great staff, great location away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. They offer complimentary shuttle into town if you want it.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tigmi is a place of quietude to listen to silence, slow down and rediscover that precarious sense of wellbeing. The house sits on the brow of a Berber hamlet (Tagadert) in the Haouz plain, positioned between Marrakech and the High Atlas mountains. It is just 24 kms (15 miles) from the Medieval city, yet a world apart in the peace you will discover. A true retreat from the hectic lifestyles we have all become used to. Tigmi offers guests the opportunity to unwind and relax but is close enough to the Red City that guests can pop in and shop the Souk, see the Majorelle Gardens during the day and the Djemaa el Fna square at sunset. ... more   less
