It’s been exactly one year since I visited Hollyhock and it is still fresh in my memory. It was an impressionable stay for me and I often long to go back. The sounds of birds and waves frequently remind me of that wonderful time. The grounds of Hollyhock are wildly beautiful. There wasn’t a walk where I wasn’t graced by...

Hollyhock Retreat Centre on Cortes Island is a truly wonderful place. I have taken two programs and enjoyed two other holidays at Hollyhock over the last 8 years. The programs have been deeply transformative, and the holidays truly relaxing. The westcoast vegetarian and seafood buffets are amazing, and have provided me with cooking inspiration for months after each visit. Each...

I arrived at Hollyhock after a serious illness and was do weak I was struggling to walk uphill. The combination of the healing atmosphere, awesome food and the beautiful setting, were an inspiration. The workshop I attended was both supportive and challenging. I also met several new friends ay the workshop. I left feeling like a new man.

Hollyhock always brings me home to myself. It is a network of mindfulness initiatives that serves to heal the spirit of participants deeply. I am cocooned by the natural surroundings. Soothed and lifted. I am fed deeply through the programming AND the holistic garden and food preparations. And oh the laughter,,,deep and plentiful. My spirit breathes me to think of...

One day into my visit to Hollyhock I found myself wondering where did all the noise go? Back in my home town, the grinding din of traffic saturates daily life. A backdrop of noise distracting my every thought, but now I find myself thinking uninterrupted for the first time in… who knows how long? And what wonderful thoughts arise! Suddenly...

Hollyhock is moving the thrust of human endeavour forward with their ambitious, exquisite programming. I received life affirming encouragement and prescient strategic advice from my fellow attendees. With Hollyhock and all they are working to achieve, I am deeply impressed.

Hollyhock is a place to reconnect with Nature and re-charge. the atmosphere is unique, the scenery gorgeous, the food makes you happy all over:) I've taken several workshops at Hollyhock, but the real experience is just being in this jewel of a place, surrounded by friendly faces and likeminded people. If you go once, you'll be back!

This is one of those locations that descriptions or even pictures can not express effectively the beauty and experience of being there. My room was right on the water, just past a stand of apple trees. The room was well appointed, yet rustic. The main lodge serves some of the best and freshest food I've ever experienced. The staff are...

This was my first trip to Hollyhock - I was there as part of a group of 50 for a conference. I've traveled around the world, and let me tell you, there are hardly any places like this. It's raw, natural beauty, with incredibly kind people, ridiculously tasty (and healthy) food, and an uber relaxed, positive vibe. If you want...

Hollyhock is funky, gorgeous (but not in an ostentatious way) and full of wonderful surprises. It's social if you want to be and solitary if you care to be. Great food. Fab hot tubs. Right living and forests-ocean-mountains as your surroundings. Awesome!
