Our stay at The Oak at Kiltale Holiday Homes has been one of the best AirBnB experiences I've ever had, From the very beginning after we booked our stay, Mary, our hostess, was amazing! We were a group of 11 traveling to Ireland to have a fairly short notice wedding. Mary and I worked closely together to put a very small micro-wedding ceremony right at the Oak! To say she went above and beyond to help us organize this event is a complete understatement! I don't think we could have pulled it off without Mary's help. The Oak was absolutely lovely, and Mary met us as we arrived, with a pot of tea already brewed. During our 8 day stay she dropped off some farm fresh eggs, offered lifts to the bus stop, and recommendations on what to see and do in the area. The Oak was built specifically to be an AirBnB accomodation, so each of the 6 bedrooms has its own en suite bathroom, with plenty of hot water. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes and utensils to easily accomodate our large group. The appliances are all new, with a large refrigerator and freezer to hold all the food you need for your stay. The Oak is well situated just a few minutes from Trim and a 15 minute walk to the bus stop to catch the bus into Dublin. There is plenty of parking space for those renting a car. Though the weather wasn't conducive to spending a lot of time outside (it snowed the night we arrived), there was a grill for barbecuing and the grounds of the farm are lovely, The sheep would come up to the fence for a pet every time we went outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I'm already making plans to return to Ireland next year and stay at one of Mary's smaller accomodations on the farm. I highly recommend Kiltale Holiday Homes - Mary and Micheál are wonderful hosts, the location is ideal, and the price is right!

Staying for 3 nights, it was a lovely little getaway for my family and myself. Sleeping in The Oak house, we were treated to comfortable accommodation, great available facilities for a self-catering home (with booklets of nearby menus and sites to see!) with lovely features such as underfloor heating! Luckily the weather was pleasant during our visit and the home always had a brill snug temperature. Despite being situated near a busy main road, no noise carried into the house with great insulation which made for restful sleep. What I will say, with the beds, every room has twin accommodation so starfish sleepers beware of limb locations! Lovely morning coffees overlooking the local cattle grazing was an added bonus. The lounge and kitchen being open plan had brilliant bright lighting, less so for ambient mood lighting - the host remarked when the electrician fitted the lights, "when you have good lights, they better be *good* lights!" - They certainly hit the mark. Very comfortable sofas with plenty of coasters around, very cwtched up and close time spent together as a family is always something we can really cherish. Very prompt and considerate responses from the hosts who were very knowledgeable about what to do and places to be in the surrounding community and villages further afield - the host even went so far as to make a lovely apple pie for us, we really appreciated the extra gesture and felt very welcomed.

I absolutely love this place! :) Such a cozy house, perfect for a relaxing staying a bit out of town! I stayed for a few days with some friends as we were performing at the Halloween festival in Trim. There were a few of us, so the big house was an excellent option to keep a bit of privacy while also being able to relax together in the house, watching movies and enjoying the fireplace. Marie, the host, was absolutely amazing, her welcome was super warm and her hospitality was perfect. I highly recommend booking it if you are looking for a comfortable getaway with friends or family. Thank you Marie, See you soon!

What a wonderful, new, large, and immaculately clean villa (The Oaks) - 6 bedrooms, 6 1/2 bathrooms, 12 beds, a large kitchen & living room. If you wake at 5 am, you can help to milk the goats. Freddy & Neddy, the two donkeys will greet you every morning, too. The wonderful hosts live in the neighboring farmhouse if you should need anything.

Beautiful, clean home. Had enough rooms and beds to house all 9 of us. Mary, the host, was the sweetest. She made sure to check in on us once we arrived and even suggested several places to visit that were nearby. Also suggested the best way to get to into Dublin on st Patrick’s day. Would 100% recommend staying here.

Myself, my husband and our 2 year old have just got back from a wonderful stay at Kiltale Farm. I can honestly say it’s one of our most favourite family holidays to date and we are hoping to make it a yearly trip now. Michael and Mary were fantastic hosts and really made our stay so enjoyable. We stayed in the stable which was a lovely clean little base for our family with the added bonus of fresh scones and home made jam on arrival. Every morning and evening we joined Michael to milk the goats, bottle feed the kids & lambs and feed the ducks which we all loved. Whilst staying we ventured out to causey farm, tayto park and dublin zoo which were all a short distance from Kiltale and great days out. The nearby village of Trim is also beautiful with lots to see and do. I can’t recommend it enough and can only say... book, book, book!

Mary's house is stunning we had a surprise whern we got there and we're upgraded to Mary's new house. We were treated to lovely home baking when we arrived. It is truly stunning with all bedrooms en suite and loads of space in the gorgeous open plan kitchen living room. There are two different areas to sit outside to take in the sunny spots in the morning and afternoon, with barbecue facilities if you fancy a cook out. The children loved the play area which comprises of three swing sets, sandpit area and basketball hoop with plenty of space for football too. There is also a fabulous indoor space with air hockey, table tennis, go karts, and of course the goats. The children got an opportunity to milk the goat which they loved and collect duck eggs. We were even lucky enough to enjoy some fresh hen eggs during the week. The location is perfect for exploring Meath, newgrange, Tayto park, Causey Farm, and venture a little further to Bray Aquarium, Malahide Castle, you are also only 20mins from Blanchardstown Shopping centre for some retail therapy. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this gorgeous accommodation.
