I-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e If you are hesitating to select this resort. Please don't. I too was unsure and was doing heavy research and seen minimal reviews. So whatever you have previously read in regard to reviews (extract the good) and read this! I came here alone and it was the best decision I have made in my latter years. The front desk staff was amazing (no exaggeration) beautiful people inside and out. You can tell their greetings and hospitality isn't staged however unique and authentic. Before I get started let me acknowledge the following employees and include ratings: 5 star employees (need a raise indeed)! ☆Cheyenne ☆Brenda ☆Yohanna ☆Katherine ☆Keianna ☆Letia & of course Mr. King !! 4 star employees (only because I met them my last day) *Kevin *Dioulle *Jessenia With that being said. The pictures displayed is only a snippet of how wonderful and peaceful the resort is. I had the "ocean front" room and it literally was steps away from the beach. The beach wasn't over crowded and overwhelming. Allocated space for each guest and there were a few masseuse at the beach however they weren't hounding you just slightly the suggestion of benefiting from an awesome massage. The pool and jet tub view was "to die for" and overlooked the ocean. There were a few games they had available near the grill area. Now listen ... if you want to "turn up" ... please go elsewhere. However if you want tru peace of mind and clarity then you come here!! And you won't be disappointed. Prices here are very similar to the states. Nothing overpriced. Burger king and other restaurants are all in walking distance. No need for a car. I had a kitchen so I went to Market Garden located next door to burger King and they have warm food also and all the American items you will find at your local supermarket. And Yes!! They also have vegan options. Most restaurants have happy hour and food is pretty good. Unfortunately I did not go to the French side however. Who cares !!! I was so in awe at the resort it took me a day or so to fathom what a great decision I have made. Cabs are cheap and people are friendly and not hassling and/or hustling you at every corner. Greetings are a plus also. On the beach it's essentially couples, families, however not overwhelming for solo travelers. Water is awesome and there is a beach bar open daily not apart of the hotel however steps away. The hotel restaurant / bar is open Wednesday - Sunday for breakfast/lunch/dinner and great drinks ... similar prices to the city. Once again cabs are not necessary unless traveling from the airport you can walk most of the territory. Majority of hotels are side by side they even have a few corner stores. The reason I wrote this much is because when I was hesitating coming to this resort, everyone's review was dry and not extensive. And I know if you're reading this, it's exactly what you need. Sidenote: No daily maid service due to covid protocol however who cares ... clean up after yourself. I will definitely be coming back here. I can write a mini novel about my stay here no exaggeration. ONCE AGAIN .. IF YOU WANT TO TURN UP .. GO TO MIAMI OR ELSEWHERE. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL ISLAND. IF YOU WANT TRUE PEACE FROM THE IMPULSIVE AND SOMETIMES OVERWHELMING LIFE WE LIVE WE'RE YOU ARE FROM .. COME HERE. I personally recommend doing a "solo" trip and you will understand why once you arrive. Treat these employees right and be your true self and it will be reciprocated. Lastly. When you 1st walk in ... the aroma ...... is everything smells like the best thing "you ever smelled before. Like that "Cinnabon or Aunt Anne's" vibe but better and with much love. Oh yeah and check our Lee's Roadside grill. My boy Jordan is awesome! Hopes this helps !! ~Mr Sanders **If there are any spelling errors my bad. I'm literally writing this as I head back. Chao !

We traveled to St Maarten for a week with another couple. We each had a studio suite on the first floor on the waterfront. Our condos were all newly refurbished and lovely. We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling on the water in front of our condos. The beach had huts to protect from the sun and a clean lovely beach. The pool area, hot tubs, pool bar snd game area were great. Lots of activities and seating. Lovely! Small but nice restaurant with a bar that was reasonable and delicious. The staff made the trip extra fabulous: the bell hop, the beach attendant, the restaurant and bar workers along with Kevin, Colin, Yohanna. Tia, Contessa, Brenda. Deandra and Jessenia who all worked at the front desk to help us. The only down side is that the larger condos are up on a hill, four stories with no elevator! Check before you go. Beautiful settings and huge condos if you’re willing to take the steps! We loved this resort and the area around it!

Room Tip: No elevators in larger condos. I would rent a car. Taxis add up! Tip well. First Irma, then...

This is probably our 4th stay here at Flamingo Beach Resort. We have always found it to be great....but this time we are over the moon delighted. From the "Welcome home..." at check in (and this great staff truly DOES make you feel "at home"), to the post-Irma attention to detail in the renovations...WOW! THE STAFF: Hmmm. Where do I begin. Gracious. Accommodating. Neat in appearance. Friendly. Always a pleasant greeting and quick to cater to any requests. From the office, to security, to the guys that put out chairs or meticulously groom the sand on the beach...everyone is hard working, conscientious and gracious. Due to COVID there is currently no daily maid service (just like everywhere these days), but ask for anything you need and ye shall receive -quickly and with a smile. THE LOCATION: A great location and beyond fabulous accommodations. Simpson Bay is the perfect location for options...close to the airport, Maho Beach-Sunset Beach Bar, water sports, boats, casinos, piano bar, fully stocked grocery/liquor store, a variety of restaurants and a few shops! Who could ask for more. Bay at Flamingo is gentle lapping waves and beaches scattered with a smattering of cool shells and rocks! I went to the marina shop and bought an inexpensive inflatable raft which they graciously inflated! Floating paradise! THE PROPERTY: I cannot overstate what a great job was done on post-Irma renovations! Stunning. Rooms are spacious with brand new EVERYTHING! Fully stocked kitchen. Brand new furnishings. Comfortable beds! Like stepping into a brand new home!! Outward appearance is also fresh & vibrant! Overall summary...I am already planning my return. I travel A LOT and this is far and away my favorite Caribbean destination! Kudos to the management & staff for providing such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere! Note: if I can figure out how to add photos...I will! Glorious!

New renovations are awesome. Staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. We have stayed here before and loved it, but they gone over and above with their renovations following the Hurricane. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a place in St. Martin

This was our first trip to St. Maarten and we could not have been happier! The resort itself is immaculate. The staff worked hard everyday in the heat to keep it that way. The beach chairs were cleaned before using them each day. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. The grounds are gorgeous, the beach is beautiful and rooms have everything you could possibly need. The steps they took to keep things safe and sanitized were incredible! We had an ocean front king suite and the views were spectacular! The sunsets were gorgeous! The sofa sleeper was pretty comfortable as well. The kitchens are fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc. There wasn't anything we needed. They really did think of everything when they remodeled these rooms. We visited the beach and pool bars a few times and it was fun. Just keep an eye on your tab because the tip was automatically added one time and the girl bartender asked if I wanted to include a tip after she already put it on there. Here are some tips for getting around. Transportation: Taxi fare seemed to be about $8/pp to go most places close by. Things are walkable but we would probably rent a car next time so we can explore the French side a little. There are a few mini marts within walking distance but the closer one (Peli Deli) seemed more expensive. Money: Bring lots of cash!! Some of the places could not accept credit cards because there was a system hack and that affected even the Covid testing across the street. There are ATM's close by and if you do use a credit card, there is a service fee (sometimes 5% or more). COVID testing: There are several places that do it but there are limited hours and some are closed on certain days. We just used the one at the airport and it was about $110 US but it was seamless and only took 15 min. for results. They have a list at the front desk and can help you. I have to give Colin, Adonis, Ryan, and Keianna shout outs for their patience and help. Excursions: I highly recommend the horseback ride at sunset. We had Davey as our guide and he was a hoot! You take a beautiful ride to the top of a hill, have champagne, while roasting marshmallows and watching the gorgeous sunset. On the way back, you get to ride the horses in the ocean ($100/pp). It was a magical experience and well worth it!! We also did the Billy Bones all day boat tour. You stop off at several islands, snorkel, swim with the turtles, see iguanas, eat lunch on the French side, watch the airplanes, and drinks are included. We had Sammy and he was an awesome captain! It is $125/pp and you are out from 9:30-4:00. Restaurants: There are several close by, the prices are decent, and the quality is good. We really enjoyed the bistro across the street from the resort for breakfast. We will definitely be back! We had such an incredible time!!
