Recently stayed here , not for the first time , and although we appreciate that covid has taken it's toll found the hotel very tired. The shower had a door missing , the basin had a crack and there were various areas in need if repair. The room stunk of smoke and the persiana cord needed replacing. One of the beds had a board under the mattress which clunked when you moved. The pool wasn't available and the bar was closed for most of the time . It is a shame and we hope they get back on track because the place was very clean as was the bedding . The staff as usual were very good and friendly.
My wife and myself have stayed many times at the Hotel Trabuco Santiago de la Ribera. The rooms are clean and tidy, and there is a roof top swimming pool. The location of the hotel makes it handy for the beach which is only a short walk away. Also near the hotel there is an excellent shopping centre called the Dos Mores which is only a very short distance away, to get there you can either hop into a taxi from the rank which is just around the corner from the hotel, or catch a shuttle bus which you can get from near the church in the high street. Santiago de la Ribera is a beautiful town which does not get too crowded from holiday makers. The staff at the hotel are friendly and polite. We like this hotel so much that we return every year.
Stayed for a week in October. This is a traditional budget spanish hotel .Rooms could do with a refurb furniturewise but beds were comfy .On the plus side we had aircon and also a fridge ! ( no hairdryer ).Housekeeping great and linen and towels better quality than I've had in four star hotels. Bathroom with square shower cubicle .soap /body wash provided in dispensers, ,again usually something provided in higher rated hotels. Pool area was nice, big warm plunge pool, artificial grass & plenty of sunbeds.Didn't open till 11am though , would have liked it open earlier. Pool bar wasn't open during our stay so can't comment Bar downstairs a favourite with the locals , serving traditional tapas and filled baguettes both were nice. Drinks were cheap .2.5 euros .for a large beer. All in all for what we paid we got value for money and a change from the normal commercialised hotel.…
This is a very good value hotel with some features found only in higher rated ones, IE it's own swimming pool on the roof. The room was spacious enough. We asked for a double and there was also a single in there. The bathroom could have been very good rather than just about acceptable, if only they would spend just a little money. The shower door was hanging off when you moved it and the shower head was tiny. For 20 euros they could make that bathroom GOOD. About a 10 minute walk to the beach if thats your thing. Maybe a bit on the noisy side as it is directly on a roundabout corner.
We have just returned from a ten day stay at this hotel so I would like to think that my review is fair and not just based on a few days. Room- we had a room with a balcony facing the front of the hotel it was cleaned daily perfectly adequate and looked out onto the road at the front, this is the hotels location so if you want a sea view it aint going to happen. Just a few feet away was the rooftop area and pool a brilliant addition because you wont find many hotels in Le Ribera with pools. Hotel- we found all the staff very friendly they helped with my Spanish and I helped with their English. There is a restaurant and bar. Both moderately priced. Whilst we were there we watched the Liverpool,Tottenham,Arsenal matches etc and had a great time there was not issues being the only brits in the bar. Breakfast is basic Spanish food although you can order extra at an extra cost. It consisted of coffee, orange juice, various cakes and baguette which we toasted although the locals put tomato on it. Its self service eat as much as you like. This is a Spanish hotel frequented by Spanish and locals we loved it,would I return, yes I would. If you want a full english at breakfast with fluent speaking english staff then this may not be for you,on the other hand if you want to go to an authentic Spanish hotel with friendly staff and customers I would give this a try.…
This is a basic hotel but is great value for money. It does have a small pool, area for hanging out washing, a library, bar and restaurant. Its location is very convenient as the bus from Murcia International Airport stops only 20 or 30 yards away. The staff are friendly and helpful. The one thing which I would have liked in the room is a fridge.
We have stayed here before. And it didn't disappoint us, the food was good and very reasonably priced, the staff were friendly although it was like old Spain, I don't mean that nasty we prefer it that way. All but one member of staff spoke none or very little English, but again this gives us the opportunity to use our very limited Spanish, or at least Google the words we didn't know. The bar and restaurant was frequented by locals for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. They varied from people staying there, working near by and it just seemed to be everyone's local. I think we were just about the only English speaking people at the resort let alone the hotel. (We didn't hear anyone else) It was fun and a great beer served in a ice cold glass, the local wines were also very palatable too, both Blanco and Tinto. Football is a big culture in Spain and this hotel is no exception with locals flocking to the bar to enjoy a drink, the live televised football and a set 3 course meal menu, which we were invited to partake and was delicious, including wine and was around 21€. For us both. We had the rooftop pool to ourselves, which is heated and very enjoyable. The pool was very clean and made a nice change from the beach which is about a 8 minute walk away, but passes numerous bars en-route. There are hotels closer to the beach which I am sure will be more commercialised but we like the Trabuco it harks back to bygone Spain.…
Stayed a week, 22nd Jan - 29th Jan 2019, Mercedes the girl at reception spoke English and was very helpful, the bed was lovely, had no problems with the TV as i knew how to change language settings to English, loved the Pollos Asos, the Tapas in the bar was varied and nice, cheap hotel but central to other bars and restaurants and cafes, 500 meters from the beach, got a room with a balcony without even asking for it, Travelled solo.
We got a deal with Booking.com and having driven past the hotel many times thought it would ok for a couple of nights. Got to our room and it was like an ice box! Window was open, so that was easy to rectify. The Aircon is supposed to heat too but it looks like the batteries in the remote are knackered - so it's really hit and miss whether it does anything. And yes you've guessed it the batteries in the TV remote don't work! Most travellers have a phone to charge but there is a severe la k of sockets - 1 by the bed and one by the ceiling. Mismash of IKEA furniture which has seen better days. I didn't expect the Ritz but this place takes the biscuit. My advice, pick another hotel in Santiago
The hotel was very very basic. Just about clean. Very noisy. The roof terrace was closed the tv room was in the restaurant. We were booked in for half board, the evening meal was soup or salad, chicken or fish no other choice. Breakfast was just coffee and toast. We checked out early nobody asked why. I could not recommend it.
