A wonderful retreat. Loved the permaculture approach with flowing water around the bungalow, the flowers and traditional bungalows. The service was excellent and non-intrusive. So peaceful! We so enjoyed our visit

Very romantic place in the outskirts of Yogyakarta. We stayed at an authentic Javanese cabin with an outdoor bathroom and private terrace. We absolutely loved it. Nothing beats sitting in the bath tub together underneath the stars! Super romantic! A delicious breakfast is included with the possibility to enjoy it at the private terrace at a small additional fee. Thank... More

We stayed for five nights in the two level bungalow. The property is picturesque and situated in a rural environment, bordering on a local village and overlooking rice paddies. Yabbiekayu has a very relaxing atmosphere and all of the staff are really friendly, always smiling and willing to please. The Javanese style bungalows are very comfortable and the food served... Everything was done to perfection, from the personal villas to the presentation of dishes, there's absolutely nothing I can complain about. The breathtaking scenery and village-type atmosphere really helped to shake off the stress of Jakarta that we'd experienced few days earlier. Couldn't help but feel like VIP while we were at Yabbiekayu.

We stayed at Yabbiekayu for 4 nights. The bungalows and the surrounding gardens are beautiful. Don't let the lack of air con put you off, you don't need it and your body does adjust. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. They set up a whatsapp group for your stay so you can ask them any questions or requests which... More

I stayed for just over a week at Yabbiekayu and it was one of the most enjoyable travel experiences I've had. The homestay offers unique and authentic accommodation of reconstructed traditional teak bungalows in a new garden setting. Contemporary outdoor bathrooms and kitchens adding comfort and atmosphere. Everyone working at Yabbiekayu was thoughtful, insightful and helpful. Highly recommended.

Thanks Joana for the lovely review it was our pleasure to host you. Glad you enjoyed our setting. I stayed at Yabbiekayu with my other half back in 2014 and to this day, it is STILL our favorite bungalow/homestay that we have ever stayed at. It was a little difficult to find but that was also fun. You drive in these back roads off of the main street and when you arrive, you are greeted with wonderful, bright,... More
