Totally disgrace. First i called to book a table in the great dane restaurant, and the waitress told me that it doesn't open for sunday lunch and made a booking at hansen bar. Then i called again because we saw an advert that it opens for lunch and the manager answered the phone and i explained everything to him and he said that hebis booking me a table at the great dane restaurant. He assured us that we will eat there from the menu of the great dane restaurant. We went there on sunday with our friends cause we had our anniversary and wanred to spend it with our daughters and friends and the waitress told us that it is closed and it will open only for dinner. I explained to her everytho g and she told me that she found the booking that ghe MANAGER did but she doesn't know why he made the booking. We were very disappointed but we were very hungry so we decided to stay in the bar. We ordered drink without ice and i made a point because my daughter doesn't drink with ice because she can't. I told him that i ordered it without ice but i kept them for not being rude and ordered again onthe rcoke without ice. Then they we ordered 3 ribeye oc BEEF 2 medium and 1 rear and after almoat an hour they came with the food and the ribeye wasn't beef it was of veal cause it was quite white. We go eat in restaurant alot of times so we know what ribeye of beef is and we know the difference from the ribeye of beef than veal. We told the waitress and she went in with the meat and then the chef came out and he told us that it is of beef it was whitish cause of the beef was whitish it self. I have never seen a beef white in my life and even the taste wasn't beef for sure. So we ate it cause we were very hungry cause if we were not we won't eate cause it was very chewy and was over cooked. After we ate the meet and we were all ready she came with the salad cause she said they forgot it. We told her we don't want it cause we were finished but she insisted and put on the table we left ot there as it was. We payed and left very disappointed. They ruined our anniversary as we were verynlooking forward to eat at the great dane restaurant as we always heard that they cook very good but we experienced the opposite.

We went to MLH for a relaxing weekend and must say it exceeded our expectations! The ambience is so peaceful and quiet which helps you unwind. To complemnt this, the bungalows are excellently kept; thoroughly cleaned, sanitised and well equipped with anything you need for self-catering. Everything is well organised and in place, all health and safety measures followed which makes the whole family feel comfortable. A particular hats off to the housekeeping team! The pool and the surrounding areas allow for afternoons of swimming or simply strolling around enjoying the surrounding of Ghadira Bay and Mellieha. Although the kitchen of the lodging allows you to cook whatever you feel like, the quality of the restaurant's food tempts you to keep on going to dine there! We cannot complain at all, totally recommend for a lovely break from the routine!

Spent 2 nights there with friends in February 2021. We enjoyed every minute and for me it was a perfect much needed break. The price was just at about €40 per night, having a big bungalow at our disposal with area you would not easily find today, even at higher prices. Furniture was minimal and serves its purposes well. Given we enjoyed great weather conditions, we were able to enjoy the sun on the roof and do a BBQ in our bungalow. Weather was also perfect for long walks around Għadira Bay and full use of amenities like the football pitch and mini golf. I am simply amazed such offers do not be much more popular amongst the Maltese, given the price and COVID-19 situations. Having your small area is simply the best way to practice social distance. Will go again soon!

We generally travel abroad and had to make an exception for this year due to Covid. I booked last week directly with the resort rather than a third party as they offered free cancellation in case measures were imposed by the government. They said they would match deals offered via third parties at the same price with the same benefits. While talking to a representative to assure that the offer would be the same, they said that breakfast (which was supposed to be included) will not be offered part and parcel as aforementioned. After a clarification that breakfast was not included during weekdays, we made the mistake to go forward with the booking. They told us that they will clarify this with the third party but things remained the same on other websites. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the reception and given the keys to the room. The massage was booked for the day after and we proceeded to take a look around before going to the supermarket. At first glance, the room seemed well equipped and pretty comfy. We later decided to visit the indoor heated pool/jacuzzi only to find it was cold. We went to report this to reception and found out other people had voiced their concerns too. Spa experience the following day was nice. I think it was the only positive half an hour for the duration of the stay. We showered and visited the pool only to find the temperature had not been adjusted. We saw crew members coming to check it out but the result was the same. The pool temperature remained like this for the whole duration of our stay. On the second night, it was heavily raining outside and we noticed a puddle indoors. We found this strange as the bungalows were said to have been built last year and suspected that the skylight was not closed properly. We tightened it up for good measure and went to sleep. The following night, it had sparsely rained during the day and we were out for the majority of the morning. We had a late lunch and went to the room to have a siesta. Upon visiting the bathroom, the light in the room sparked and robbed the whole bungalow from electricity. We also noticed an enormous leak from within the ceiling, dripping water constantly. The phone worked through a power source so we had to report it on foot. We dashed to the reception, barely catching the technician before calling it a day. He diagnosed the fault and reported back to reception. To deal with the problem, reception suggested we sleep there as it was our last night. We found this appalling, and kept insisting to move our things. Although we had paid for the newer bungalows, we were transferred to one of the older ones, which had a lot of issues but at least we had electricity to cook dinner. The only remedy offered was a late checkout which we could not take as we had other commitments. Reading the staff's reaction on the matter, it seemed like similar things happened all the time. Obviously, this is our experience in the worst periods for tourism, and we might have been treated badly since we were locals. So if you're thinking of taking your family here, our recommendation would be to find somewhere else. TLDR: Pros: Nice location, with a vast area of passageways away from traffic Covid compliant, although sunbeds used still had the "recently cleaned" bracelet attached Cons: Unhelpful staff Limited flexibility to accommodate residents Facilities listed on third party sites might not reflect what you will actually get In crisis situations, do not expect staff to be helpful, or even go the extra mile to make sure your staycation is splendid.
