We have just arrived back from spending 2weeks at this wonderful friendly hotel, it was truly all lovely, you couldn’t fault this hotel on its cleanliness the cleaning staff were so friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. All the staff right through the hotel were always very friendly and polite. It’s the first time we have been to Monte Gordo and we were really impressed with it, the beach was a lovely white sand and went on for miles.... we walked along it a few times. We could see the beach from our Balcony and feel the sun all day long when we sat there. it was truly wonderful. The board walk along the beach was really nice as well, again lovely to walk along. We also found a lovely woodland walk which we walked in a morning after our breakfast, the choice of food was amazing there was something for everybody. Couldn’t fault it at all. So thank you to all the staff who made our holiday so lovely.…
We spent a week in the Alcazar at the begining of March. We had a junior suite which consisted of a bedroom, bathroom with shower over bath, large sitting room and balcony. A TV was provided in the bedroom and sitting room, a fridge and a safe. There were no tea making facilities in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality linen. All the staff were fantastic, friendly and professional and couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel was spotless. The breakfast buffet was great, with fruits, yoghurts, cold meats and cheese, cereals, rolls, pastries and hot food. A cook made omlettes or pancakes on alternate days. Drinks were self service from machines. The hotel was a short walk to the amazing beach and town. Would highly recommend
Stayed at this hotel only 5 minutes walk to open long sandy beach. Cafe , drinks along a wooden broadwalk over the beach. Not expensive at all much cheaper than western Algarve. Based near old fishing village so seafood is especially fresh and available anytime , Highly recommend for a time away from the normal hustle and bustle of tourists locations very relaxing walking along the beach for miles if you want. Day trips to Spain via boat is very easy as close to the border.
Home now after a great month staying at the Alcazar Monte Gordo. Arrived on 2 walking sticks + left with them in the suitcase. Wonderful comfortable suite. 5* views. The Hotel is very good and has all the amenities. However, the staff make it what it is, a very special venue. The Spa was beneficial to my wife and helped her a lot. The Hotel is very homely and a perfect base for exploring the Algarve. I would recommend it as it caters for all age groups and in is a lovely position. Best regards David Richardson.
Just come back from The Alcazar and what a great hotel, we had a junior suite which was a great place and beautifully presented with great service, facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only down side for me was the lack of English channels on the TV for those times you just fancy a relax in the suite .
