Good value visit. Swopped my reservation from Sokos Hotel Lakeus into this hotel bc I hot a better rate for 3 people here, and it was a great choise! Had a very quiet and comfortable room on the third floor. Wooden floors, new bathroom, super clean. Absolutely no noise and excellent bed (even the pillows were great). Blackout curtains too so slept like a baby. Great breakfast and the complimentary sauna was also worth a visit, newly refurbished sauna department. The location is suberb (better than Sokos Hotel Lakeus or Vaakuna, even though those are not far either), short 5min walk from the railway station and the Ideapark bus goes right by the hotel. A movie theather right next door as well as the Lakeus Cross Church. Would return!
Breakfast was like no other Scandics!! Thank you for riceporridge, it was delicious. And so cosy atmosphere. Very friendly staff and warm rooms. Good location near railway Station. We will be here again.
I’ve stayed at many Scandic places, both with my family and with business so it goes without saying I’ve been at good ones and bad ones… but this place is the worst ****** Scandic hotel I’ve stayed at. My phone is right now showing me that the time is 01:55, I’ve been trying to sleep since 23:00… without any luck. It took an hour to get the kids to sleep… for the same reason: there is some kind of club right at the other side of the street, the bass is thumping and thumping and thumping. I just went down to the reception to ask when this f*kcing place is closing, she didn’t really know… maybe at 3 or 4. She suggested earplugs,… but I just lost it. This is the first time I actually stay at a “hotel” (in lack of better word) where I have to sleep with my noice canceling headphones on. What a f*kcing dump! I am never staying at this hotel again and suggest no one else does either. If you do, make sure to have a room where they guarantee that there will be no noice pollution. I might even go so far as to say that this was the absolute last time I will be staying at a Scandic hotel, the quality has been degrading for the last years now. This was the only hotel we’ve as a family book since the start of COVID,… I wish I could say money well spend. Well, let’s hope my headphone batteries are charged enough so I can finally get to sleep… the two pillows trick does work unfortunately.…
The whole Scandic franchise has problems with these ex-Cumulus hotels. Everytime we go for one, there is something to correct at the reception. This time we did not get the welcome gift for our dog and when I realised to ask for that, it was just a pack of poo bags. Room was hot in the evening and cold in the morning. There was dust that I could see with bare eyes. Location is great and breakfast is good as well as the parking is free.
Breakfast was good and parking was free. That was good. Room was without air conditioning, way too hot to sleep. Room was not cleaned properly, lots of dust and foreign stuff on floor. Spare bed was broken and there was assembked some wood blocks on legs trying to keep it straight. I suppose Scandic should have proper spare beds to sleep. I tried to fix it myself by tightening some screws. This hotel was not a good experience at all. When we left, we got some fruit drinks free of charge due to the problems.
Hotel smells bad, there is no air condition, bathroom is not clean, hotel is dated. All in all extremely bad experience. Not what I was used to with Scandic hotels. First time I am waiting for vacation to be over.
Hotel was at center and easy to find with good parking place. Staff was very pleasant even there where rules about Korona. Nice and quiet but it's not new hotel and that you can see different places. About eating there were no menu, only buffet but it was fine with some variety.
Unfortunately, this hotel didn't have the level which I have got used to at Scandic hotels. My standard room was really poorly cleaned. For example its sofa was full of dog hair and there was dust on the shelves. However, the location was good in the city center of Seinäjoki, the breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly.
Average hotel in good location. Breakfast are good, rooms clean. Summer is apparently busy time because of all of the festivals and such in town. Nights could get bit noisy because of young guests looking for rooms :D
This was a three night affair to participate in a golf competition - at the Ruuhikoski course (designed by Robert Trent Jones jr). It was all very pleasant; friendly staff, easy and spacious free parking and a varied breakfast offering. The only minus was lack of warm running water in the bathroom wash basin! I take this to have been temporary, but for one shaving in a traditional way not that enjoyable... Still, all aspects considered (and water hick-up fixed) I will return!
