This might be one of the BEST places I have ever stayed - on every level. It offers something on every level for all of its guests. Incredible wines and the education to appreciate what is being poured. Spa visits that match any level of expectation from casual nails being done to in depth massages and everything in between. The...

The setting of this hotel is incredibly beautiful and should have been ultimately relaxing, however when my husband and I went in August 2016 the place had a lot of kids jumping in and out of the pool, screaming, minimal pool attendants which was not helpful. I would suggest that the hotel invest in a pool for families. The pool...

If you are visiting the Douro and want a 5 star experience for a hotel/resort, Six Senses is it. My spouse and I are picky but reasonable. This place delivered. Special mention for the several bar lounges, with tables for playing board games, etc. while drinking the local wines. Fancy travel magazines pay models money to pretend they are doing...
