The Camden Arms felt more like a hotel than a local pub. Rooms were comfortable, and there is plenty of well appointed outside space, some of it under cover. The food was less remarkable, though not bad. Unusual for a hotel this size not to cook breakfast to order, though there was plenty of choice of non-cooked food, including fresh...

We stayed here for two nights, as a base to visit Hyde Hall, Sissinghurst and Wakehurst gardens and had a lovely, really enjoyable stay. We stayed in a ground floor, accessible suite, that was spacious and well serviced. If we were being picky we would comment that we'd have preferred firmer mattresses and pillows but in the grand scheme of...

We had a great meal here. Even though it was the run up to Christmas, they didn't let standards slip and we had a top notch meal. The staff were friendly and gave us time to decide what we wanted to eat. Food was served promptly and very good sized portions. We left with full stomachs and not a huge...

Had to give this hotel a score of average as there isn't a "good" category and it isn't "very good". Friendly staff greeted us and showed us to our room. Good size but very dark with totally inadequate lighting for doing makeup. Dark furniture and a wall painted dark red didn't help. The mattress needs replacing as very bouncy and...

Stayed last night. Only room available was a disabled access room which we did not need but have to say will highly recommend to anyone requiring such a facility. Room was well appointed with everything easy to hand. Super wet room specifically designed to make guests feel as comfortable as possible. Beds not over comfortable or large but ok. Minor...

Its pub grub, but very good pub grub and at very good prices. Its large enough to cater for large parties and seems to welcome families. Staff are friendly and we did not feel hassled or rushed, although there was always someone to take any orders we had. Five adults and one child had plenty to eat, and a few...

As a family of 8 including 2 children we thought we had found the perfect overnight stay. How wrong we were, I wrote a lengthy email stating the poor breakfast and how rude the gentleman and lady were to find they were the owners. We had added a vegetarian was in our group, and this had been noted in our...

Cheerful, attentive staff in a traditional pub with friendly atmosphere. Choice of Sunday Carvery or the varied daily menu. The food was hot and very tasty. Wide choice of hot and cold desserts too. A very enjoyable lunch, not our first visit to this pub and certainly won't be our last.
