Welcome to the island of Brac What do you need to feel at home in a hotel? First-class quality and excellent service are certainly at the top of the list. Of course, individuality and exceptional charm are also crucial. It is a signature feature that makes something distinctive, unique even. The unique feature here is the ambiance created by the 300 year old homes made of stone and our exceptional service and quality. We have placed particular emphasis on modern art or rather the bridge that combines this art with history, tradition, and modernity. Hotel Lemongarden houses the Lemongarden collection including exquisite pieces by select Viennese artists as well as international, contemporary artists. Art runs like a common thread through our hotel located on an idyllic island. It begins in the entrance area and accompanies you in every room. It creates places of comfort and a feeling of being at home. Hotel Lemongarden is a privately run hotel. When we say personal service, we mean it literally. Simply let us know what will make your stay even better. It is our goal to ensure that you feel great here and that your stay is unforgettable. We look forward to being able to pamper you in our hotel! Helena Ramsbacher & the Lemongarden team

The most beautiful hotel that I have ever stayed in, right on the harbour of Sutivan where the ferry docks from Split. The hotel is a series of incredibly renovated houses keeping a village feel. The gardens are stunning, I’ve never seen such perfection, not a single leaf on the ground and dressed with bourgonvilia, palm trees and jasmine. The pool is stunning. The delicious breakfast is served on the side of the harbour, the service is second to none. The beach is 15 minutes cycle, or the hotel take you on a golf cart. It’s stoney, but beautifully maintained with pine trees, hammocks and a restaurant. We even had a massage by the sea! And as for the spa, omg, a private spa experience all included.

We spent two weeks traveling down the coast from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, alternating between the coast and islands. Hotel Lemongarden was BY FAR the highlight of the entire trip. The staff, especially Jelena and Sandra at the front desk and all of the servers at the restaurant, were unbelievably attentive and truly invested in our experience. We had an incredible suite with a rooftop patio and view of the coast that I still dream about weekly. The spa was also a highlight; I’ve never stayed somewhere where you schedule your own time in the spa and have all of the options available only to you. The breakfast which is included was truly astounding. And the servers, picking up quickly on the first morning that we like mimosas, would bring us some every morning thereafter. We took the golf cart ride to the private beach- it’s a very short ride and WELL worth it. It’s truly private and the bar and restaurant staff there were equally amazing and attentive. This was the most intimate and high end resort experience I’ve ever had that didn’t feel like a stuffy resort. And the location is perfect. We had a car and they provided parking. Although it was hard to want to leave the hotel! The swimming pool is even more amazing in person. It was such an incredible hotel that my boyfriend chose our rooftop patio to propose! It was phenomenal and we WILL be back!

Wow! What an experience from start to the end (almost). We loved the private transfer by boat to start with, what a boat! And the arrival was sweet at the hotel; several houses made of typical stone houses in the village, beautiful. The Suite was just amazing with breathtaking views over the harbour. Comfortable and big suite (ok we took the biggest), best beds, and in the morning outstanding breakfast by the water. We loved it! Good attention at arrival and when needed. Amazing pool, even greater private beach 15mn away with great service, smiling and helping staff. Possible to borrow bikes or use their transfer hotel/beach. A no brainer easy and flexible. Great! Amazing dinner with the kids there too with tasty food and I recommend this amazing rental of a Fiat 500 without issues nor headache. You will like home at a friend. The Spa is nice but limited in what is available but that’s fine. What can be improved ? Not much Maybe the maid does not need to knock at the door at 08.30 for cleaning (do not forget therefore the non disturb sign if you want to sleep later). The cleaning was good but sometimes late in the day. At departure I forgot my shirt in the room and called back a few days later. Nobody had found it though I know it was left in the walking closet. I was not really welcome when I called back, rudeness of the staff. Front desk could potentially slightly level up welcoming the guests even though it is ok, could be warmer. I could not accommodate the proposed changed in timing of private transfer and a little rude reaction even though we kept it as initially planned. So room to twist it and elevate the experience slightly to reach the sky but in the meanwhile everything was perfect even though pricy !

Stayed three nights in the Definis suite 3 in May 2022. Access to hotel and rooms is not suitable for handicapped persons, as there are a lt of steps to climb and parking is 200 m away (Shuttle service by golf cart). Room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Bathroom floor slippery when wet. Room design is a matter of taste, though. No TV set in bedroom.
The strong points of the hotel are definitely the amazing gardens and the pool area which are simply fabulous. The pool is heated or cooled according to the season. There is ample of space and privacy. Towels, deckchairs and umbrellas are first class quality, pool service is attentive.
Breakfast was served by the harbour side and left nothing to desire. Dinner was served at the same romantic location. Food was superb, but prices a bit steep.
There is also a beach club with shuttle service which we did not use, however. Other services include speedboat transfer from Split airport and car rental.
Prices are, of course, also 5 star level. Highly recommended!

Response from Helena Ramsbacher, Inhaber at Hotel Lemongarden
Responded 19 Jun 2022
Dear Herbert E, thank you very much for your wonderful review and the kind words regarding your stay with us. We are happy to hear you've enjoyed our beautiful gardens and the pool area, which is the heart of our hotel Lemongarden. Roses, hibiscus, and bougainvillea – they play a main role in the picturesque garden at the Lemongarden. The bougainvillea especially enchants guests with its glorious colors around the outdoor pool and forms columns as if on a trellis, and there are many columns since our pool has a length of 30 meters. Depending on the season, the pool is heated or cooled. Our head chef Ante Udovičić loves his job. Quality is the decisive criterion for him not quantity. It is better to have less of something that is a much higher quality. The set menu offers around 20 dishes, 10 of which vary daily. Always regional, seasonal, and homemade – this is the philosophy. Due to the nature of the old stone buildings, unfortunately not all our rooms are suitable for handicapped persons. Please let our team know of any special needs and we will be happy to assist finding suitable options. We're looking forward to welcoming you soon! All the best from Sutivan, Helena Ramsbacher & the Lemongarden team

There is absolutely nothing you can fault about this hotel from the arrival in their speed boat from Split to the amazing service you are given throughout your whole stay.
Starting with the basics, it is scrupulously clean, attentive and super friendly staff from reception (a special thanks to Katarina, who had to deal with my emotional arrival after a rather stressful few weeks travelling around Croatia!), housekeeping, restaurant and quality of food, buggy operatives. Nothing can be faulted. Attention to detail appears to be paramount. The gardens, pool and pool area are pristine and if you have time book an hour or two in the spa. It is for private use only and a real treat. The bedroom accommodation is extremely comfortable good quality towels and bed linen, hairdryer and toiletries etc.
If you can bear to drag yourself away from the heated outdoor pool, their private beach is a 10 minute buggy ride away, again nothing has been overlooked. It’s a beautiful setting, comfy sun lounges, good restaurant, bar and immaculate toilet/changing facilities and even Wi-Fi thrown in. What’s more you can hire bikes for free if you the hotel gym isn’t enough for you. We were so happy here for the last 4 days of our Croatia trip.
A truly beautiful and relaxing experience thank you to everyone that made it so. We will definitely return.

Myself and my husband went for three nights. We took the private speed boat from Split to the island. I can tell you its 100% worth it!! We were greeted very warmly, bags taken to our room, and promptly shown around the breathtaking buildings and gardens. The entire hotel is spotless, and nothing is too much for the staff . They are always happy to see you, and fulfill every request. They also answer the phone (we rang reception for a coffee every morning which is free of charge devilvered promptly) within 1 ring.
Our room had 2 bathrooms, a living room and bedroom. Everything was spotless and maintained to a very high quality. Housekeeping staff always said hello when we bumped into them. The bed is wonderfully comfortable, and the pillows are the best!
The pool is perfect, and sectioned to give privacy. The garden is out of this world, every leaf has its place. They also use much of the locally grown produce in the food, which, is again incrediable. The seafood is spectacular, the wine is a perfect accompliment and the waiting staff makes the whole experience just wonderful. There was a wide variety of food on the menu, it came in great time, and accommodated to short requested delays between each course. Plates were taken away speedily after finishing, and the staff again were always on hand if anything was required.
The beach is a short 7 min ride away by golf buggy. This can be ordered free of charge anytime. The ride is great, as you can see some of the beautiful coastline. You can also eat at the beach, again, the food is amazing.
The spa (which we privately hired for 2 hrs) was the cherry on the top, giving us some unwind time inside.
I will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know, and I will make every effort to return one day.
I don't know if this was intentional but it felt like the hotel was purposely underbooked inorder to give a very personal service to each guest.
10/10 for everything . There is nothing that I can think of to improve anything. The memories will last a lifetime. Thank you to all the staff

This hotel was one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed at. The grounds are simply stunning and the location is idyllic, just a short bike ride down to the private beach which is so relaxing, and then there is the pool which is just as beautiful as the photos make it out to be.The grounds are kept impeccably and the swimming pool is just stunning. We loved relaxing around the pool each day and throughly enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was (the perfect couples retreat due to no children). The food at breakfast is one of the best I have had at a hotel, the location on the water front is incredible, but the really win is the huge choice from the a la carte menu. Truffle scammbled eggs, fresh pastries, fruit salad, smoked salmon... there really is everything you could ask for but make sure you try the lemon jam! We joked we would go back just to eat that homemade jam again. A truly luxurious holiday and a real escape when you want to switch off from the outside world.

I honestly find it hard to criticise because over the week we were there it never disappointed from Cuisine to Staff and everything in between. It is simply divine in every way.So why such high praise? The rooms are beautifully designed and ours looked over the chArming port of Sutivan where the quiet sea life came and went and the view took the ye all the way over the water to Split in the distance. The food was Michelin quality for sure without yet coating as much. The beach club was so utterly endearing and you could be active or inactive or somewhere in between. Massages on the beach in a lovely tent or back in the Hotel- the choice was mine. Then there was the friendliness and professionalism of the Staff. The gardens and Look at the hotel itself are breathtaking if that isn't enough to go by. This is an utter gem.

This hotel is perfection. It was our favorite 3 days of a 2-week Slovenia-Croatia vacation. We had two gorgeous luxury suites, one with a seaview, with twice a day room service. It was above the restaurant but was soundproof. The Dyson hairdryer was an unusual touch. We loved the seaside breakfast every morning; the private beach (that others have mentioned), with lounge chair drinks and service; the peaceful pool and spa; the small gym; the private bar for guests every evening before dinner; the bread and olive oil; the seaside dinner two of three evening; beautful, idyllic Sutivan; the included bicycle use; and most of all, the incredible staff and attention to detail. A special thanks to all the restaurant and hotel staff, including those who brought us ice buckets several times a day. The grounds of the hotel are lovely—so many flowers. The reality is even better than the photos on the website. We had planned to explore Brač during the 3 days there, but were so happy at the hotel and Sutivan, that we just stayed put and revelled in the whole experience. I wished we had a longer stay. We asked for advice about how to handle parking and ferry schedules/transportation for our next three days on another island and the hotel staff went above and beyond helping us—for several days after we had checked out. They offered this help before we had even checked in. I have traveled a great deal, stayed at high-end places, and have never experienced this level of service anywhere else. Thank you. We will be back…

We loved our 4 night stay here for our anniversary. The hotel is spotless and very interesting layout across stone buildings (worth exploring). The heated pool was lovely, quiet and picturesque. The private beach is 10mins by bike, 5mins by the hotel electric buggy, or 25mins walk. It is gated/walled for hotel residents only, again lovely and quiet and well kept. The staff all round couldn't do enough for you and were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was a great choice and right on the small harbour, also great for dinner.
