We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. We initially thought it was too expensive but it was worth every penny. The spa, the view, the facilities, the food were all outstanding. The whole place is very clean, you can tell that they constantly work hard to keep everything neat and shiny. We want to praise the restaurant staff for their professionalism and a real 5-star service. All the foreign employees are super polite and kind as well; it is obvious that there is a great work culture at the hotel. Chef also comes out a lot during dinner to check on the buffet. I commented that I didn’t find enough vegetarian options and he rectified it immediately by bringing me a plate especially prepared for me. We will definitely be back in the summer. A few pieces of constructive feedback: the single bed sizes are too small, there should be a small coffee table on the balcony and a kettle in every room, the pool water is too cold, the lobby setting could be made cosier and more welcoming, the breakfast and dinner buffets should offer more vegetarian options.
But our overall impression was very positive. I am a Swiss hotel management school graduate and have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and I can honestly say I am proud that the standards of this Hungarian country hotel are totally on par with any of those of its counterparts abroad.

Beautiful location, great service, friendly staff, excellent cuisine. Perfect place for all kinds of events or just to enjoy your holiday and relax with your friends or family. The spa offers a wide range of services, the benefits of which you can enjoy throughout the year. Even though we were there only for 2 days for our regular annual team building, I would absolutely recommend it and I can’t wait to go back as soon as I have the opportunity. (The event was also well managed.)

The hotel has been recently renovated and has a great view of Mátra. The SPA section is very extensive, you can find all kinds of wellness services. The food was very delicious and the staff was also very nice. Overall we were satisfied. Recommended for everyone.

The service is perfect and the surroundings are beautiful, the rooms and the wellness area are very sophisticated. I highly recommend it to people with small children, it is a very baby friendly hotel (baby cot, crib, baby bath, toys, animators and playroom). The quality of the food and the choice was excellent.

We spent a long weekend here - standard room with mountain view which was really worth the extra amount. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Both breakfast and dinner were great, we even received vouchers for lunch :) staff is kind and helpful, wellness was average, but with great view.

This is not the Ozone, this is HEAVEN! Words cannot describe the wonderful days we spent here! The location of the Hotel is fantastic! The view is gorgeous! The rooms offer excellent comfort! The Wellness department ensures gigantic recharge and relaxation! the helpfulness and attitude of the Reception, the professionalism and kindness of the restaurant staff are amazing! The incredibly exciting varied breakfast and dinner offer is fabulous! I would especially highlight the incredibly delicious PIE every day! I've been to several places, but I can say this is the TOP Hotel! I congratulate the Management and the management from the bottom of my heart! We were here with our family during August 2020. The hotel is just wonderful, Location can NOT BE BETTER. The views are just stunning and amazing! The wellness is unique and lovely, always having this great view. Even from the nice panorama sauna. Service in the full hotel is fantastic. The owner József is a fantastic person, lots of greetings to him from the Kű family! Really hope to be back soon. Will never forget this fantastic holiday. Thanks and we will be back.

Hotel located in hearth of Mátra. Opened several months ago after a massive reconstruction, extension. Perfect service, very polite, nice staff with lot of smile. Grate food, good wellness complex (i.e. breathtaking panorama from sauna). Smart, guest friendly services helps that everybody find own comfort and joy.

We came with high expectations after reading the reviews and being advised by some friends. But what a disappointment... If you are looking for a nice romantic relaxing weekend... This is not the place for that.
Let's start with the positive things and the reason I give it 3 stars. The staff. Very helpful and nice. Very polite and always attended our requests. Just one remark. We would expect that most of the staff would speak some level of English. The few that did were great and very professional. The staff is what made our stay a bit pleasant. The atmosphere is nice. If you are into woods, mountain and such. Nice views over the mountains. The food was quite good for an Hungarian hotel. We've had some bad experiences in this area. The rooms are modern and comfortable.
Now the disappointments... The spa area. Although it's not bad it's nothing extraordinary. There are some architectural choices that make me wonder what was going through their minds. Like there is no water connection between the indoor warm pool and the outside one. Also to get to the outside Jacuzzi and sauna there is no indoor path. So prepare to be cold. Another huge miss is not having a lap pool where one can swim some laps. So the only option is to soak in a pool full of kids (and adults) throwing balls at each other, jumping, screaming, etc. Not sure if there are any rules about such behaviour but no employee ever took action. We have nothing against kids and families but sometimes it was too much. So basically the willingness of some to relax is trumped by a hoard of screaming kids throwing everything around and the parents enabling it all. Since the pool area is not that big one doesn't really have much option. Only to accept or go somewhere else. So either you are a family with kids and this is a great place for you. Or you are screwed like we were...
Concerning the room although it was nice with a balcony there were 2 big flaws. The shower head is blocked by a metal arm holding the shower glass. So if you're over 190cm tall you can't have a proper shower. And the Wi-Fi connection. We must have been very unlucky but I had a very hard time keeping my iPad connected as the signal was so weak. Checking something as simple as Facebook was a nightmare. Forget about checking the news or streaming a video...
Apart from The spa there are not many alternatives to keep you busy. The "bowling" and billiard are hidden in a dark corner of the basement. Very uninviting.
So overall disappointment with the hotel. Was expecting much more. There are nicer, better (and cheaper) options in Hungary. Worst spa experience I had. Great for family with kids. Awful for romantic relaxing weekends. Or we were extremely unlucky with the weekend we picked for our stay.

We arrived for a long weekend (4 nights), but decided to check out after spending one day in the hotel (stayed 2 nights alltogether). All of the pools are cold! in the spa area, including the jacuzzi, outdoor and indoor pools. Should have checked earlier tripadvisor comments that mentioned the same issue. It was so cold we had to take a warm shower afterwards to warm ourselves up. The first morning I was woken by housekeeping at 9am, I politely asked they come back in an hour to which I got an angry reply saying there are too many travelers and they will not be able to come back later. I find this absolutely unacceptable, especially the tone of voice. We came back at 3pm, our room still hasn’t been cleaned so we notified the hotel that we would like to check out because of these issues. Reception told us that we need to pay the extra 2 days, the manager did not come out of his office the entire time, and was only messaging us through the receptionists. Finally, after half an hour they decided that we don’t have to pay extra for the days we will not be staying. For future reference, here is what you should do in a case like this: Apologize! Have the manager on duty talk to the guests and forget about making the guest pay for the days they will not be staying in your hotel. Dinner is very poor, there is a “tasting” section where a waiter is offering pieces of meat, in extremely tiny proportions, if you ask for more they say no because “there will be no more left for the others”. Seriously? What’s the point of this? This is maximum 2 stars but definitely not 4. Bar and restaurant staff were increadibly nice otherwise and delivered a great service. NEVER coming back!
