The Kirkenes Snowhotel is in a valley about 20 klm away from the town. It consists of the Snowhotel itself, about 10 cabins, 2 restaurants and the reception. There is a place with tones of huskey dogs and a fenced part with reindeers! The whole campus was amazing, you couldnt conceive the beauty that was in front of you! We...

This hotel is built out of snow and ice blocks from a nearby lake every December and stays until the spring. A 25 room hotel with a bar sculpted out of ice, this year a Viking Longship. Each room has its own carvings on the walls and a sculpted bed with a mattress. Sleeping bags rated to -32 degrees are...

I booked this trip as a birthday treat for my husband, something to tick off the bucket list! It was an experience that we won't forget & worth it. We arrived in Kirkenes & was eventually picked up by taxi (after being forgotten about for an hour but luckily a snow hotel worker arrived at airport & sorted this out...

This hotel must not be seen as a place of accommodation but as a once-in-a-lifetime experience not to be missed. It cannot be reviewed like any other hotel, nor should it be judged like any other hotel. When you stay here you are welcomed with a drink, shown around the place and then served a meal that surpassed ourv expectations....

And above all we had 3 northern light shows ( green with the naked eye) just from the porch of the cabin!!! We also did the crab fishing excursion ,very well organised...

This place is not like anything I've ever seen! The Snow Rooms are works of art and a unique place to sleep for those wanting an adventure. The cabins are beautiful, warm and cozy. I loved my ride on the dog sled.

Very expensive fun 4 star This is a novelty location and I wouldn't have gone if it weren't for my kids. It is a very pricy side trip from Oslo, and cost about three times our stay per night in the city. We actually stayed in one of the cabins, which are surprisingly spacious, with nice big windows and heated...

What an amazing experience to stay here! We stayed in a cabin 2 nights. The cabin is WARM and cozy and the perfect location to sit and look out the window at the beautiful scenery. We loved the two chairs in front of the window along with the hot water kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Every day we fed...

Having longed to see the Northern Lights, we took a Hurtigruten ship- the Kong Harald from Bergen to Kirkenes. Once above 66 degrees North and in the Arctic Circle, landscape became monochromatic in the Polar Night, more beautiful each day and the Lights appeared on three successive nights! The last day and night was spent at the snow hotel in...

Snow is a gift from the sky. Cold, still, pure and beautiful. Welcome to Kirkenes Snowhotel. To a world where you sleep in snow, walk on snow and may drive a scooter or a dogsled on snow. We even serve snow in the restaurant! Our romantic Snowhotel opens December 20th., and is open until April 20th. Kirkenes Snowhotel lies secluded in the wilderness 8 km outside Kirkenes. Here 180 huskies await you. Reindeer are grazing behind our unique chalets. Under the fjord ice, the giant King crabs dwell.
