Definitely a one night only stay. It's cold, but they give you everything you need to stay home. We arrived at the hotel around 930am after a two day trip on the Hurtigruten. Staff was very friendly and gave us access to a range of snow equipment to use the entirety of our stay. We tried out the snowshoes and...

Definitely something you have to visit if you are in the area for a stopover. The sculptures in the rooms are amazing. I went there only for a visit to the winter park. The excursion itself is a bit expensive, but considering the transport from and to the city centre, at the end it will cost the same if you...

We visited only for a couple of hours. We did not stay overnight. Our trip was organised as part of the Hurtigruten Arctic Highlight voyage. It was interesting. The fact that it is a temporary hotel built in the winter and dismantled during the summer probably accounts for the lack of substance. The carvings within each chamber were varied, each...

We stayed in a cabins for two nights. They are a very simple, but sensible design. We chose the cabin over the snow hotel itself as we're at the stage of life where an en-suite bathroom is most desirable. The thought of having to get out of your sleeping bag and wander down the ice passage to the toilet had...

We have heard of the Snow Hotel, seen it on TV, buy nothing beats being there and seeing it with our own eyes. The Ice Bar is carved out beautifully and all 26 rooms had jaw dropping ice carving designs, no one room is the same. It's cold at first as the hotel has to be at -4 degrees, but...

I arrived Kirkenes by Hurtigruten which there were Snowhotel bus pick up from the pier. It took about 15 mins to the hotel. The Snow hotel situated in the beautiful area but not a big size which consisted of the small reception house in front and the Cabin or Gamma and the Snow room and also the restaurant were just...

Dog Sledging was very good. Gabba Cafe really warm and welcoming. Evening meal nice but little choice so if you didn't like something, your options were few. Buffet breakfast very enjoyable. Excellent sleeping bags, wolly socks etc and we were lucky to be in Room 26 so not far from the facilities when I needed to get up in the...

Went to the Snow Hotel on the last night of a Hurtigruten cruise. It was a great adventure. Each of the Snow Hotel rooms is unique. One was being recarved when we visited. The Ice Bar was beautiful and we enjoyed a few warming vodkas there before bedtime - smashing the ice glasses afterwards of course! The sleeping bags were...

We spent 3 nights from 14 - 17 Feb 2017 at this property. The first night was in a Snowhotel room, and the following 2 nights in a Gamme Cabin. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn't do enough for us. This property is the total package. The accommodation is nothing like you've ever stayed in before. All meals...

Room: I stayed in a cabin. It was beautiful! One wall is basically a window you can sit at with a cup of something warm to drink to just enjoy the view. The one issue I had was the shower drain backed up. I probably could have called reception about it to see if they could fix it but it...

Snow is a gift from the sky. Cold, still, pure and beautiful. Welcome to Kirkenes Snowhotel. To a world where you sleep in snow, walk on snow and may drive a scooter or a dogsled on snow. We even serve snow in the restaurant! Our romantic Snowhotel opens December 20th., and is open until April 20th. Kirkenes Snowhotel lies secluded in the wilderness 8 km outside Kirkenes. Here 180 huskies await you. Reindeer are grazing behind our unique chalets. Under the fjord ice, the giant King crabs dwell.
