Stayed here for 7 nights in late September. Room was clean and had everything we needed for self-catering. Staff were friendly; pool was lovely; hotel was located near a bus stop for travelling into Vilamoura, Faro and Albufeira. Would recommend for a low cost getaway :)
We have been visiting here for so long that we regard it as a second home. It’s such a peaceful place. The grounds around the pool are quite big, with plenty of sun beds and plenty of room to comply to social distancing. The rooms are spotless and well equipped for self catering stays. The staff, who we class as friends, are a credit to their manager. Masks are worn by the staff all of the time and guests are required to wear them when walking around the hotel and grounds. When relaxing on your sun bed or having a drink or meal the mask is not required. The hotel was not as busy as usual for this time of year, understandably, but that did not mean that there were any changes to the normal day to day operations, there was still a full menu from the snack bar and the restaurant and the bar was fully stocked. As a previous poster mentioned there was no entertainment because of the COVID restrictions but that did not stop us enjoying our stay. There is a bus that will take you to the Marina or the beach but we didn’t feel the need to leave the hotel. While we were there we booked to go back next year. If you want a good, restful break away from it all then I highly recommend this little gem of a place. …
Nice complex of apartments. Myself, wife, brother and sister in law spent a week here. Our apartment was a floor down from the top and was huge. 2 balconies overlooking the rear of the complex, one from the large bedroom and one from the large living area with a very good equipped kitchen. All the utensils were clean and plentiful. There were pots and pans, glasses, cups, toaster, kettle, microwave, basically everything you would need for a self catering holiday if you didn't want to eat out. Both balconies had a table and chairs. The apartments were cleaned every other day, clean bed linen and towels if required. Safety deposit box was 12 euro with a deposit of 20 euro, returnable ,for the week. My S in Law and brother were given a basement apartment which involved climbing quite a few stairs and lacked natural light. They asked to change and this was sorted out very promptly. The girls at reception and the gentleman were very helpful. The complex was very quiet, due to the current covid situation, but the staff were very helpful and cheerful. They were all very conscious of health and safety, wore masks all the time and kept a safe distance according to regulations. We felt completely safe here. The bar was open daily and they were serving food all day. We ate here a couple of times and it was very reasonable. 7 euro for a buffet breakfast and a good varied menu for lunch and dinner. The drink prices were reasonable, 3 euro a pint of super bock, 3 euro for a 250lt bottle of Mateus wine. There is no entertainment on at the moment, apart from a tv playing music and the occasional sports events. The bar staff are very friendly and also knock up a decent cocktail. You have to wear a mask when at the bar or in reception. You don't wear it sitting down at the tables eating and drinking. The pool was clean, as was the pool area. Plenty of sunbeds, all in good condition, umbrellas and small tables. The only let down was the grass area around the pool was absolutely soaking every day, especially first thing in the morning, your feet actually sunk into the grass. I don't know if they had a problem with the watering system, but you will get muddy feet or muddy flip flops around certain areas. This is the only reason I've given 4 stars. A courtesy bus will take you to the marina or the beach 3 times daily with pick ups as well. The bus is limited at the moment to 4 -5 persons ( due to restrictions ) but the driver will come back and pick you up. Takes about 10-15 minutes per trip. If you get a taxi back from the marina, ask the driver how much roughly before you get in. The most we paid was 9 euro. There is a spar supermarket about 10 mins walking distance down the road if you need to stock up on anything, there is a bar/cafe next to it for refreshments, before heading back up the slight incline to the complex.…
We booked a trip here within 30 minutes of the travel bridge being reopened. With availability reducing and prices rising we booked a week here with very little research other than on here. We had a lovely week, very friendly hard working staff, great value restaurant and bar and a superb pool area where in these difficult times social distancing is very easy. Our room was spotlessly clean, air conditioning worked superbly and was very comfortable. The reception can recommend a very professional taxi company who took us to the marina for €8. This was a replacement holiday for a week in Tenerife that was obviously cancelled but when things hopefully return to normal we fully intend to return here given the super week they gave us in these times. Highly recommended.
I had booked a Wowcher 'Mystery Holiday' last year and had been offered this hotel for a February visit. I hadn't looked up the hotel in advance but I'm so glad we were offered it as my partner and I were really impressed. The hotel itself is in a lovely location and the whole thing is very well maintained. We had a lovely (massive!) apartment with great cooking facilities, a lovely big bathroom and a little balcony looking over the pool. You can walk into Vilamoura in around 45 minutes (we recommend!) but there is also a free shuttle bus that runs to and from the marina at different times of the day. The hotel staff are also AMAZING! Nothing was too much trouble and from the minute we stepped into reception we felt at home. We were really sad to be leaving after a lovely few days. Highly recommend!…
