The location is in the centre of the village with a big restauarant. Professional staff and helpful. The room is big enough, clean and there is also water cooker with coffee and tea. Good breakfast, too. Not really got a good sleep because the bed was too soft for me. The big free parking area of the village is just in front of the hotel.
Good hotel for our stay visiting friends over the New Year period. Very welcoming and staff were very good in helping us settle in. The bar was great and staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Would recommend if staying in Zuidlaren area.
Room was clean, on the small side. Beds needs to be renewed as it was sagging in middle and on the side. However hotel is in an excellent position, free parking at the back and in walking distance of shops, restaurants etc. Downstairs restaurant was very good and reasonable priced.
We received a free upgrade on arrival, but it took the heating the whole evening to make for a pleasant temperature in the bigger room. Our twin beds were of different softness, but both of us slept well enough. The free water cooker and some coffee and tea were a nice gesture, the fridge under the working table seemed to be missing. The bathroom looked good and clean, the water was hot, but the floor had a dangerous little height difference and it smelled bad. The view of a little park was nice; the smoker's balcony was shared with the neighbours. The continental breakfast was okay, but not worth the EUR 12.50 we paid for it. Service was friendly.
We stayed here on the way from Amsterdam via Texel to Berlin. Made the reservation in the car. We arrived near dark but could see right away that we were in a lovely, tree lined village. The hotel seemed to be at the cross roads. While the lobby was nothing special our room was amazing. It was actually two floors which gave our 16 yr old son his own space - made him very happy! The bathroom was huge and clean. The beds were comfortable with nice fresh linens. We also had a small balcony. I woke up, put on my running clothes, and went for a 4 mile run thru this beautiful town which was served by wide bike trails. Afterward we enjoyed the beautifully presented breakfast buffet. I only regret that because of our schedule we couldn't stay longer. I would love to go back.
