I went there with my husband. First feeling - ooo it’s nice, but everything changed when we came in to the room. Not really clean, with spider in the corner! Bathroom- unbelievable, mold on the walls, falling plaster….. Breakfast was good, normal as in a hotel.
Reception here was very pleasant and friendly, but so were all the staff we found :-) Room was spacious enough, bathroom a bit small, but with a good shower. Beds were very comfortable, but f.i. desk showed a bit of 'use' in the way of damaged paint, but everything was very clean, and, as said, all the staff very friendly, and that, to me, is far more important. Besides that, I like the fact that the Fletcher hotels are not all looking the same (as in some groups) and I believe they're refurbishing places over time (and they can't do everything at the same time :-))
Unexpected we needed to stay one over in Roden, we were lucky that there was a room available in this hotel. A very friendly lady did the check in and gave us an upgrade to the junior suite. Meanwhile she gave us a adaptor for the telephone charger. The room was spacious, refurbished, clean and foreseen with balcony, tv, coffe and tea ameneties, free of charge wifi and a bathromm with shower, bath and sink. The toilet was separately! The beds are good and the aircondition kept the temperature comfortable. The breakfast is moderate, fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiles eggs, bacon and scrambled eggs. A wide number of bread varieties were available. The scrambled eggs and bacon could have been prepared with more passion, the bacon was very soft, not crispy at all and the scrambled eegs were very dry. Only apricot jam doen's let space to choose. But price/performance wise we do understand the breakfast level. The hotel is good for a night over stay but a bigt outdated.…
Good overall experience but the rooms do need updating, they are somewhat forgotten after the 1990's. Friendly staff. Check in was easy and quick. The starry starry night ceiling above the bed really needs to go 😆
Spacious and clean room with good bathroom, but the overall hotel is very outdated. Some new pillows in the beds might be an nice and simple improvement. Breakfast was ok, didn't had diner in the hotel.
To visit the Drents museum in Assen with the special exhibition over Iran (recommendation) we booked the Langewold hotel. Due to unforeseen reason we has to leave one day earlier. The rooms are spacious, but neat to be renovated as wel as the bathroom. The bathroom has a shower in the bath, bathroom with walk-in shower is available on request. The personel is very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast was simple. Free parking and wifi is available
During my short business trip to Netherland, I stayed one night in this hotel because it was closest to my working place in Roden. Parking space is huge and was almost empty, so I parked my car very close to the entry. Hotel is design dated, however room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Hotel location is far from the centre, but Roden is a small town, so you can walk there. Unfortunately everything is close there after 5pm during the week, except pizzeria (? in Holland). So I had my dinner and breakfast next morning in hotel restaurant, which I found very impressed. Waiters were professionally helpful, food was really delicious.
Arriving at 17.00 hrs we parked our car just in front of the hotel entrance 4/5 and a few minutes later we were friendly welcomed at the lobby counter and checked in 4/5. Little note, there were quite some guests waiting but only 1 check in employee. We got room 210, 2nd floor level, 2 persons overnight and breakfast euro 75,- all in. 4/5 The room is spacious but decoration and furniture somehow outdated, carpet with spots, working desk and bed cabinet need some fresh paint 2/5. Bathroom spacious, clean and well equipped with a.o. large bathtub, 4/5 Beds and pillows are good 4/5, wifi is okay, stable and fast enough 3/5, breakfast variety 4/5, quality of products 4/5. Overall 3/5. For one night and our goal of that day this hotel is convenient.
The rooms in the hotel are in serious need for renovation. The state of the rooms is not in ratio with what you have to pay. Breakfast was somewhat okay with limited offering and the cooked food was not refreshed regularly. Staff manages to show a smile or two but no-one seems to enjoy the work. Breakfast was 16 euros. Also not in ratio to the offering.
First visit to this hotel. The staff are very efficient and friendly the rooms need updating it was like going back in time to the 70/80's. The menu for dinner is ok not a vast amount of choice however and the food was average at best but again the staff were very attentive. The hotel is fine for one or two nights stay.
