We stayed for 10 nights. Our room 12 was well equipped and had a balcony mainly over looking the street. Useful to dry washing. Breakfast is adequate, bread, cereals, croissants and unlimited teas and cafetière coffee. It's self serve and very laid back with weather permitting a seat on the roof terrace overlooking the harbour which is stupendous! The roof terrace and connecting...

Thank you for the kind words. Just an addition, the building is currently being renovated so the unsightly 'hole in the wall' downstairs is being re-plastered and a proper door installed. We will move our reception downstairs and add an additional room where our current reception is - (No. 11 next to your room!) Further, the downstairs sea facing empty...

This guest house is a gem. As before Neil and Larissa were perfect hosts. An added bonus this time was nice weather which meant we could take advantage of the stunning terrace with views over the harbor. Air con has now been included which was welcomed during the hot and humid weather. we will be back.

Thanks for coming back, that says more than any review could! Please note that we are having renovations to the building which will mean the empty downstairs property will now become a coffee bar run by a lovely couple who will also take on our breakfasts. We will continue to offer a light breakfast of tea, coffee, cereals and toast...

We stayed at the guest house for three excellent nights. The owners could not have been more welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had everything that we needed. Neil has even designed a walk from Marsaskala to Marsaxlokk and we thoroughly enjoyed that too. The guest house is clean and welcoming and we had great views...

It was a pleasure! Anyone who enjoys to walk and take in the cliff side scenery along the sea shore - please ask for the Marsascala to Marsaxlokk walk and I will print it out for you! Glad you enjoyed your stay!

We were met at the airport by Neil, the owner, and driven to Marsascala to check in at Akwador. A well positioned guesthouse with lovely views across the harbour area. Neil and Larisa made us very welcome, gave lots of helpful information and tips to enjoy our week and although room wasn't ready - it was only mid morning -...

We are always pleased when our guests have a great time! Thank you for a great review and kind comments, also for being rather descriptive of the type of town and holiday you can enjoy here. We most certainly look forward to seeing you here again and with family maybe? :-)

The Akwador Guest House is located in a great position, everything you need at your doorstep (swimming spots, bus stop, eateries, the promenade) to enable you to enjoy a great stay, together with the fantastic hospitality of hosts Neil and Larisa we had a fantastic 2 week holiday there, and having "suite 16" with 3 balconies the best view ever...

Akwador Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Marsaskala, a quiet fishing port on the south eastern coast of Malta. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean with air conditioning, a ceiling fan, strong Wi-Fi and a balcony offering a view of the bay and fishing boats directly in front of the property. The continental breakfast is excellent...

The Akwador Guest House is in Marsascala, where the Maltesers spend their weekends. It is not in the Touristy part of the island, but whoever likes can get there easily by bus. Marsascala offers rocky beaches and great food. Neil and Larissa have helped us finding places to see, things to do and how to get there by bus. Theis...

Some great useful advice for other guests - yes, we prefer you use the fast WiFi than have TVs in the rooms which would give you pretty useless Maltese and Italian channels plus be noisy to the other guests. So glad your stay was a good one! Thank you for the review.

GOOD: Very quiet resort but easy walk to beaches, good bus links to Valleta, Paola & airport. Excellent location on harbour, several different types of restaurant available. Roof top terrace from breakfast area offered excellent views. Communal fridge available to store your foods was nice idea. Very pleasant hosts. POOR: Extortionate supplements as single person (only triple room left-no balcony)....

Thank you for providing a balanced review - if you don't mind I will concentrate on answering your negatives. You booked late and were lucky we had a room - it is peak season. You knew you had a Triple bed 'Family Room', not ideal but you accepted it. This room has no balcony as it normally has small children/babies...

Rooms are clean and comfortable, have both air conditioning and fan. Cleaning was made every day. Breakfast was good and included basically egg or porridge, some fruits, milk, toasts, jams, ham, cheese, coffee etc. Very attractive in this place is its location - at first line to sea, 25 m to Marsaskala bay. Distance to closest place to swim is...

Thanks for taking time to provide a review. The breakfast is only €3 but is rather comprehensive and cheap for the price. We challenge anyone to find a a full breakfast for that price in Malta! Glad you enjoyed your stay - hope to see you again!

Thank you for taking time to write a review. I am glad you mention our 'Guest Fridge' - apparently many people have commented on it.
