On arriving to the airport we were greeted by a young man waiting to take us in the taxi. Took us about 20 minutes. Arriving at the hotel we were greeted and checked it very quickly. Hotel lobby is very clean and spacious. Room is very clean and spacious plenty of room for hanging clothes and draw space. No bath but shower is very nice hairdryer in bathroom. Air con works wonders and best of all about it it’s silent 👍🏼. We decided to venture out so asked reception to phone us a taxing after waiting 20 minutes a taxi arrived we asked to go to shops and restaurants so he took us to the marina. Taxi cost us €35 we were not happy but took on the chin as we didn’t realise. Marina is packed full of restaurants but we didn’t find a shop for tobacco. Plenty of tobacco machines in the wall but you had to insert what we believe to be an ID card to prove your age. I maybe could of tried my driving licence but I didn’t want to try it. Stopped for pizza the restaurant was very very busy and customer service seemed to go out the window. After we went for a walk lots of ice cream parlour very busy. Marina I wouldn’t recommend if you have children as the zebra crossings have a red green stop go system but the cars still go so it’s a case of keeping your wits about you and just walking across cautiously. Then their was no taxi rank around to get home on what seemed like waking for an hour hoping to flag one down we decided to ask for help. But no one seemed to speak any English and we were running low on phone battery to translate. Luck had it we spotted a taxi and ran for life another €35 back to the hotel. Up for breakfast and I was disappointed that their was only croissants , ham, cheese, cereal and eggs. No toast and no fry up. If you leave the hotel walk left their is a restaurant and a shop and a pharmacy the coffee shop sells the best coffee my partner tells me. Their is is also a pizza restaurant here too which is very nice I highly recommend the burger and fries. Do not got to the restaurant Clipper which is right out of the hotel service is atrocious one waiter taking orders waited over an hour for food and drinks. We took the busy to the beach you have to download an app and buy tickets. I would not have found this easy to do my girlfriend is a bus driver so found the bus routes easy to understand. We also went to a shopping centre but this had the same shops as we have in the uk Pull and Bear Stradivarius and Bershka. Going back to the hotel let me tell you when I say it’s clean it’s really clean honestly it is but the location feels like we’re in the middle of no where and the hotel exterior is dated and the grounds are very dirty and very run down. The pool is nice and big but very deep I can just about tip toe in the hallow end and I am 5’7 their is also a baby pool. Staff are friendly but this is in no way 4* their is no poolside bar no hair saloon no gift shop I would say 2*+. I’m glad I was only here 4 nights and didn’t bring my children.

This hotel is a bit of a contradiction on one hand it needs plenty of love and attention ,this can be done with a refurbishment. On the other hand it is well staffed and has a high standard of cleanliness The staff are first rate and could not do enough for us ,in fact when we complained about our bed they helped us move rooms. We were with large group attending the ITFU World Championships so the hotel was busy, but the staff always made time for us. Great Job.

Myself, husband and 9 year old daughter stayed at this hotel for 6 nights for the taekwondo world championships.... On arrival the hotel looks very nice, the lobby area was large and very clean with plenty seating to relax.we were promptly checked in and given our room. The room had one bedroom with a double bed and in the kitchen/dining area was another single bed. My daughter didn't sleep in there as she felt scared so she slept in our room. The room was very clean and had a fridge etc only fault was that the cooker didn't work so we were unable to cook in our apartment. The shower was very, very small even my daughter struggled to shower in there. The shower curtain was useless and the bathroom flooded. This was the only fault we could think of apart from the door to the apartment. We really struggled using the key to open the door and was often locked out our room until it would finally open. Maids came in every day and cleaned the apartment, made the beds and left fresh towels which we appreciated after a long day competing. We were on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast was continental but was a vast amount of variety to choose from and the view from the balcony whilst having breakfast is amazing!!! On our 1st night we paid to have our main meal in the restaurant. It was a 3 course set meal. My daughter wasn't too keen on the pasta dish so made just plain pasta for her. Lovely staff in the dining room so friendly and helpful. Well done! I didn't use the pool but my daughter did and she said it was freezing but it was October 🤣 it was lovely and clean though. There's not much around the hotel. A good 10/15 min walk is a spar where you can buy all your groceries etc and a pizzeria. And if you go the other way a good 10/15 min walk away there is another pizzeria. Both very cheap to eat at and very tasty.... There's a bus that comes near the hotel that takes you in to Sardinia really cheap. The beach is a must go to place it's very idyllic and the main town is nice too. Just a shame graffiti is on the walls of shops etc. so sad to see in such a beautiful place... Would I visit the hotel again? Yes definitely but not with my children it's defiantly not for them during the winter months. Maybe different during the summer? Well done hotel setar for being so organised and patient and being host to so many competitors from around the world.

This is a fourth world, run-down hotel, and un-stay-able!! BUT apparently a full refurbishment is happening and I am sure it will be great! The Staff were excellent and the house-keeping team deserves a GOLD MEDAL for cleaning!! This is an old, run-down, derelict hotel but they keep it really clean! The buffet restaurant was yummy and surprisingly well maintained and Mario, our waiter was SUPERB!!

I booked a trip and was booked in this hotel through go-today travel ( my first mistake), who assured me I’d be staying in a 4 star hotel. I’ll echo what some other reviewers have stated- it may have been 4 star 30 years ago,but it is NOT 4 star now. Filthy floors, broken down shower cabs, linens with holes, trash littering the grounds , broken concrete near tennis courts. I even had to ‘rent’ a Beach towel ( what 4 star hotel does that??). After many complaints, was given a gesture from go- today (who took months to even respond), and feel I wasted my vacation time and money. Total disappointment. Only go there if you need budget travel.
