We have literally just got home from the lindos royal and on arrival it all seemed very nice, illuminated nicely at the entrance (3am arrival) poor guy behind the counter didn't seem to have the new arrivals info but did a good job working it out for the 15 or so parties that arrived the same time as us. Got shown to our room which was clean and tidy not dated like some previous hotels I've stayed in. Cleaners come in daily change bedding and freshen up the wash area wc and shower. They are all very friendly and courteous. Fresh towels daily as well. Morning came went for breakfast has a good selection of the usual fried scrambled items orange juice out of the machine is free but tastes like crap, freshly squeezed is charged at €4 a glass and this is where this start to go side ways, the drinks that are offered on the all inclusive deal are absolutely appalling. From 3% beer to lighter fluid vodka and mixers that well don't know where they get that amount of sugar and colourants from if I'm honest. Even the slushies tasted like they were made from St water. They did even have tomato juice for a bloody Mary. Kept getting told they had ran out but that excuse doesn't work being used for the whole 7day stay. If you want proper drinks then get your wallet out you'll need it and at an average of €9 a drink they aren't cheap. The staff generally are helpful and do a good job. It's just a shame the management are more concerned on profit and not customer satisfaction. Also don't expect to get a sun lounger to easily because they like a lot of hotels have the selfish gang that leave a towel at 7am and don't use the lounger until 2pm. Unfortunately this is ignored by the hotel even when the issue is raised. The annoying part is they could easily have pool attendants to monitor this and remove towels that are not supposed to be left. It may sound a bit moany re loungers but people are selfish and thoughtless and over the years I've gotten to be very short fused with this type of rude obnoxious type. The hotel is clean but it's not 5* in our personal opinion the food is ok but samey most days and drinks as mentioned are absolutely disgusting. If your expecting evening entertainment don't bother the had a couple of singers 1 night which were ok, kids disco and bingo. The Friday night they were promoting a shisha night and I'm nor surprised at the lack of interest when we saw the prices. They wanted around €35 for 1hr I'd say buy a vape it's cheaper. Spoke to several guests who were disgusted by the cost. Overall hotel was OK but it's not a 5* as mentioned it's 3 May 4 need to improve on several factors mentioned above. I will say if you head to the beach below as a plus the banana bar is great nice and chilled out food is fantastic and drinks even though not the hotel freebie rubbish reasonably priced 500ml bottle of mythos €4.50 cocktails and they were well made €8.50 burger and cheaps in a brioche bun and great flavour savour sauce that compliments the burger extremely well €8.

I was really nervous about going here on holiday after reading such terrible reviews, but truthfully I don't understand why they are so negative. OK so it's definitely not a 5* hotel and there's things they can improve on but it's still a lovely hotel. Our room (1027) was lovely with beautiful views across some of the pools and towards the sea. The bathroom could do with a little updating. Cleaning wasn't 100% perfect but still kept clean for us. Air con would go of sometimes (possibly due to power cuts) we found switching the trip switch off and on worked best to restart it. (bottom left). We mainly used the pool bar, drinks are your average all inclusive but can pay extra if you want something different. Staff were friendy enough but could tell they were getting fed up at times (overworked, sick of rude people, I'm not sure tbh). Calypso bar we didn't use so much but past by to use the toilets. You can sometimes smell them before getting inside the bar and the closer you got the worse it smelled. The reception were all lovely and cannot moan about anything there. Always willing to help out. Entertainment. First of all the staff here were lovely and always tried there best to get people involved. During the day there's 2 games of water polo. First adults and children which is to be the tamer one. In the afternoon it's adults only and was definitely more competitive and great fun to watch, very entertaining. The evening entertainment unfortunately isn't very good. We downloaded the app and the entertainment was never the same as it said it would be. Bingo was alright but 5€ per card to play. The name that tune was OK, if you get ilthe wrong name you had a shot of ouzo. The last one we went to I thought was going to be a dancing show but it was like a children's disco (sorry). They wanted adults to get up and dance to cheesy tunes, sadly everyone without kids left early. There was a band one night that was OK. A la carte, we went to the Greek and grill ones, greek was our favourite of the two. The downside was we could here the kids entertainment and really wasn't enjoying listening to the birdie song while trying to enjoy a romantic meal. If they turned the music up in the a la carte it may have helped. Food was beautiful though. Buffet was your typical buffet, lovely food throughout the day. Lovely hotel but a few things to help improve wouldn't go amiss

Absolutely awful hotel, no where near deserving of its "5 star rating". The facilities are disgusting and dirty, the Calypso Bar stinks of urine and vomit. The staff were so rude and the food was awful with a very limited and repetitive choice, also a very limited drinks menu and an even more limited snacks menu. We stayed in a Swim-up room and the pool was only cleaned once during our whole stay. The bedroom was only cleaned 3 out of the 7 days!! We had to go out of our way to ask for fresh towels! It seems the people who run this hotel don't respond to negative reviews either so it shows a lot about the awful management! Not to mention the fact that a fire broke out in the kids arcade due to dodgy wiring (which can be seen on show all throughout the hotel) Rhodes is a beautiful place, just make sure you choose a different hotel before you book for it! :) Absolutely disgusting.

After looking at some of the older reviews I was a bit worried about staying here but I really shouldn’t have been. The Lindos Royal Hotel is overall outstanding. The rooms are so clean, the all inclusive food and drinks were so delicious and they definitely weren’t tight on the alcohol. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the swim up rooms and the pool was cleaned daily as was the room. The hotel is a short 10 minute drive to the main town and that was lovely too. They use an app for all the bookings including restaurants and spa facilities which makes it all very useful and convenient. Staff are amazing and so attentive. I would highly recommend this relaxing place to anyone: solo trips, couples or families.

This hotel is so disappointing, it is made to look way better than it actually is. Waitress staff are very rude and took our drinks off the table whilst we got dessert, when we asked her for it back she walked away without saying anything. No entertainment at all, it was supposed to be karaoke yesterday but nothing was on. Food was awful with hardly any choice, especially the breakfast. I can’t wait to go home, feel so disappointed for the price we paid. Nowhere near a 5 star hotel.

When reading other reviews there seems to be confusion about the star rating of this hotel. The Grand next door is 5 star this is 4 star, except it isn't by any long chalk. On arrival we were given a room in the new part of the hotel. A very small but smart room which didn't even have a bathroom, just a shower cubicle and a separate toilet cubicle with the was basin being in the bedroom, very odd. Comfy beds. Our balcony looked directly onto a young coyple's room with private pool, so I'm sure they felt as impinged as we did. We asked for a different room and were moved the next day to the old part of the hotel which is a bit tired and the beds really uncomfortable but the views are stunning and not overlooked at all. We asked for a double bed but got two singles pushed together and made up as singles. At least in some hotels they push two singles together but use double bedding but not here. As mentioned in other reviews, the room and pool towels are frayed and threadbare. I asked about housekeeping and the changing of sheets and towels as I like the option not to change them every day from a sustainability point of view but still for yhe room yo be cleaned. All hotels I have stayed in over the last 15 years from budget to luxury in many different countries, offer this commitment but when I tried to discuss this with reception staff I was met with blank looks. At the bars, polycarbonate glasses are offered in a nod to sustainability but mostly people are getting their drinks in single use paper coffee cups so there is tons of waste. Not acceptable in this day and age. The staff are friendley and helpful but clearly overworked and undervalued. As someone who has worked in hospitality this is clear to see. Plus being all inclusive they get few tips. We chose to come out of school holidays but there were still loads of (literally screaming) kids. There is one small adults only pool and sunbed area but there occasionally were still kids in there with parents. They were usually Russian as I suspect they couldn't understand the signs which were only in English. The signage throughout the site is generally poor. The staff don't challenge anything except when closing the pools at 6/7pm when it's just about bearable to sit out. Why do they close so early? The dining room is noisy, like a canteen and the clientele. We'll...its like feeding time at the zoo. People who can't use a knife and fork, holding their fork like a pen in their right hand, stabbing at their food or just shovelling in pizza and chips with their hands, generations brought up on junk food. Children not being given the experience of trying different foods and cultures. This isn't a Greek experience, it's generally mixed European but as a Brit, the worst elements are here. Fat, greedy boozers who are trying to get as much free alcohol down their necks from morning till night. More ink on show than a tattoo convention and trout pouts, acrylic nails and false eyelashes galore. 🤮 There are too many people, too few sunbeds both on the beach and around the pools. There are signs asking people not to put down towels yo reserve sunbeds, they do. So unless your out for 08.00 then you'll be lucky to get anything. They ask for beachwear not to be worn in the dining room, again completely ignored and not challenged. Some even in wet swimwear. The food is plentiful but becomes a bit samey after a while. The A La Carte restaurants are better and a much nicer experience but some of the guests dressing in swim shorts and far too casual which spoils it. I think it is very difficult to give a 4 star experience in an all inclusive although I did have one in Cuba where all drinks were international and the food top notch. Here all drinks are local and the cocktails syrupy and taste very samey. In a 4 star international drinks should be a given. You can have them if you pay but that isn't acceptable. Overall it was OK but it needs to be realistic about its star rating, a 3 at best and needs to drop its prices accordingly. This is definitely not a 4 star experience. It's like a holiday camp.

We were there for a family holiday with one toddler and one 9-year old. Overall it was nice, lovely views, nice area, frienldy staff. The food was good in the restaurant and the staff really friendly and quick - bringing drinks and taking away dirty dishes. Lindos with the acropolis are just 5 km away, so you can take a bus for €2 or a taxi for €9-12. But what was strange, that 2 18+ hotels are ib the same area. The beach is shared with one of them - Lindos Village. The amount of sunbeds is too small for that amount of guests. Also 5 small swimming pools, all sunbeds already taken in the morning. One Relax pool is for adults only, one small one is for little children, but often elderly couples sunbathing there, which is a bit not fair, if I cannot go to the adilts pool with my toddler. Also the pool with the slides is situated in the back, so you have to either pass the restaurant or the adults only pool. The rooms are big, but very outdated. We had a Junior suite with seaview - really good view, but that’s it. Cleaning was terrible- room was not cleaned on the first day. Then we never knew, when they would come and clean, two times they came in the evening, half hour before dinner, so we had to stroll around in the heat, before dinner. Number of towels in the room was never right, once only one used towel left for the whole family! Floors were never mopped and barely wiped.

The room was large and modern with a great view from the spacious balcony, air con worked well and the large bed was very comfy. The maid came every day so no complaints about the room. The food on the all inclusive option was a mixed bag but you could always find something palateable, lots of fruit and other healthy options. The all inclusive drinks were poor and every cocktail just tasted very sweet and the beer was mainly froth. The staff were helpful and plentiful so you never waited long for service. I would advise anybody not to bother with the" A La Carte" thematic restaurants, the service was slow and the starters were a set menu with three choices for the main course which were uninspiring and cold, the drinks were extra and expensive. We all would have rather used the all inclusive everyday option. The pools were pleasant and you could usually find somewhere to sit. In conclusion it is what most four star Greek hotels are ie three stars. Had a great holiday for a reasonable price but room for improvement.

IF YOU BOOK THIS HOTEL YOU HAVE MADE A BIG MISTAKE!! WORST HOTEL KNOWN TO MAN! ITS DANGEROUS FALSE ADVERTISING THEY USE OLD PICTURES TO ADVERTISE AND DOESNT LOOK THE SAME THE ROOMS ARE DANGEROUS WITH LIVE MAINS WIRES TAPED UP Arrived at the hotel greeted by pleasant staff in a nice fresh lobby reception area. Checked in everything all fine up until we left the lobby. Pool towels you have to pay 10 euro each for as a deposit but you get this back at the end of the holiday The room (superior room partial sea view) had blood staines on the “freshly washed” bed sheets, the room was disgusting, the balcony view was looking onto a old derelict tennis court & dumping ground. If you stretched your neck enough to the right you can see the sea. With immediate affect we demanded a different room and in all fairness we got upgraded to a suite which was much better. Below the balcony was looking like dead grass and broken sun loungers, looking directly ahead had a nice sea view. The upgraded room we went in had 3 power cuts in 7 days where the key card wouldn’t then work so we was locked out the room with a 2 year old MAINS WIRES CONNECTED USING TAPE (see uploaded pictures) •Broken sink •Broken tap •Shower that floods the room •Toilet flusher that falls off the wall •Glass under the bed (and the bed looks like it hasn’t been moved in years to be cleaned beneath) •1 shower towel given per day for a family of 3 I personally wouldn’t bother going to the beach. They describe it on the page as taking a walk along the sandy shoreline (or similar) ….the whole beach is made of stones / pebels. If you have a pram you have no chance as the the way is made of old pallets that have sinken and broken ( see pics). The beach is a disgrace. Oh the adults only hotel next door has access to Lindos royal loungers but we can’t use theirs. The food in the main eating area was below average . Same things every single day near enough, slight variation but nothing to rave about. All food is Luke warm . If you want freshly squeezed orange juice you have to pay 4 euro. Kids club is totally unusable (see pics) All sunbeds stained, old, tatty and broken A child laid a number 2 in the pool and wasn’t wearing a swim nappy, reported to reception and they didn’t even close the pool to clean. Soft drinks such as lemonade, Fanta and rola cola had no fizz. Swimming pool towels was very old and tatty Air con sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t. When it did work it wasn’t very cold The grounds around the hotel needs surfacing as all uneven. Our little girl came home with cut & grazed knees A number of large ant nests around the grounds Hotel is filthy and in dire need of a revamp Unfortunately I can only add 10 photos to this review but there’s many more

Hotel was a bit out of the way you need a motor to get to the bus stop here. Hotel a bit of a let down there was no complimentary tee or coffee in the room so once things shut in the evening you couldn’t get a tea until 7 the next morning which is not great if your up half the night with the heat as the air con was not up to much the food was very repetitive not a great choice on the all inclusive menu
