Lovely quiet location in the centre of town and was originally a monastery. The rooms were well appointed, traditional and comfortable. Some noise does travel down from the floor above, we were on the first floor, but nothing that would stop one from having a good night's sleep. There are many public rooms and a large dining area as well...

After our disastrous visit to the Parador in Orepesa last week our faith in the Paradors has been restored. Merida is a real gem. The staff are pleasant & our room was both large & airy and also had functioning air conditioning. The bathroom was a decent size & was very clean. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but...

Amazing Parador , superbly restored, you really get a feeling of spanish culture. Breakfast is ok , rooms are nice but smell of cigarette which makes the atmosphere somehow "stuffy" . Otherwise for less then 100 euros it is impossible to find better

Amazing hotel super location and staff. Highly recommended to anyone visiting to stay at a Parador. In off season it's excellent value for money. Full of charm and old world character. Usually come with onsite parking. Join The Amigos club to get points and discounts.

Merida has an amazing collection of stunning Roman remains, especially the theatre. As a nice old building in the centre of town, we thought we'd give the paradors another chance. Sadly the paradors have not moved with the times. The food is ok (just), the atmosphere in the large empty restaurant is souless, and the staff seem to lack enthusiasm...

We stayed in 3 of the Paradores locations on a recent trip to Spain, and we were not disappointed. This hotel is conveniently located in Merida, and you can walk to the various Roman sites around town. There are a couple of local restaurants located on the small square in front of the Parador, but within 2-3 blocks, there is...

We stayed here nearly 30 years ago and decided to go back and it was a good location for getting over to Lisbon. Dinner was delicious. We managed to get parked in the garage but advice is to get there early for a space. Breakfast was over-priced and on our trip this was the most expensive breakfast and not the...

What a great hotel this is - even by Parador standards. I believe it was the first one to be converted by the government. We stayed for three days in a beautiful room ( one of the superior ones) and enjoyed every minute of it. The bed was huge with lots of individual lamps all around the room, excellent wi-fi...

This Parador is a hidden gem. The city itself is absolutely amazing if you like Roman History and great sites to visit. The Parador is within walking distance to all. It is housed in an old convent. Beautiful rooms, great atmosphere, excellent food. I will stay there again.

Our Superior room was large, beautiful and very spacious. The Parador is located in a great location in the city within walking distance to all the historic sites. The grounds are lovely, the restaurant was very good and the staff was professional. No complaints at all, we had a lovely stay and would stay again.
