The bad: If you want walk to downtown, the hotel is 4 blocks away from the Roman bridge which is a bit challenging with the high (100'sF/40sC) temperatures. They have only 6 free parking spots and charge 10Euros/day for the garage. The good: great front desk people, well kept rooms (we got the standard) great atmosphere in the 'tapas' bar...

We stayed one night as a stop on the way from Lisbon to Spain. The hotel is a kind of resort which is not far away from Merida central. This is a perfect place to get A5 motorway to go back to Madrid. The hotel has a very nice outdoor swimming pool, having a dining service inside of the restaurant...

Stayed here whilst travelling through Spain - good location not too far from the main roads and easy to find. Parking on site was a useful bonus too. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was spacious and clean and good value. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food, and there are places within walking distance...

We were driving from Portugal to Madrid and decided to stay in Merida for a layover. The TRYP front desk help us with our next day adventure and we visited the ancient Roman ruins of Merida. Great experience with our visit, starting with the great welcome from the Hotel staff.

Big, comfortable, clean and quiet room. Wonderful breakfast, good quality food, with lots of choice (even for those with food allergies). Different types of bread, cereal, yoghurt and hot and cold milk, plenty of cheese types, pastries for all likings, even gluten free products and soya milk. Variety of fresh and canned fruit, selection of juices, teas and coffees...well worth...

Hotel was perfect, Breakfast and Service good, and the staff was very friendly. just th walk downtown with more than 2 km one way was a bit far. I would say a kind of shuttle service would be great and would help a lot.

We stayed here for a night on our way from Madrid to Jerez. It meets almost all my requirements for a better than good hotel - cleanliness, excellent bed and shower - and the choices for breakfast were extensive. The hotel is located across the river from the town and most restaurants - a modest problem on a rainy night,...

We only stayed for one night but it was nice. The hotel and the room were clean and in good shape. The only thing that could be a disadvantage would be that it's not close to the city center (you need to drive there) , but we knew that beforehand so it wasn't an issue

Usually I stay in this hotel when I´m coming back from Madrid. Last time, I booked a special room with jacuzzi. The price was pleasant so I upgrade the room (from a normal one to a special one with jacuzzi). The room was confortable but shorter than the normal ones. And the famous jacuzzi was not working (not very clean)....

The hotel is almost new and the room and bathroom were quite large. The bed was comfortable, the lighting was very good, as was the water pressure. The buffet breakfast was huge, with plenty of options and good quality. We also had lunch at the restaurant, which was fine. The staff were very helpful with suggestions for eating in town....
