This is a small beautifull hotel in a wonderful location. Service is top of the line. Great for a weekend trip with couples and friends. Decoration is really pretty and they make you feel like home. The hotel is walking distance of all Cáceres sold town. You may think is expensive ... totally worth it! place
I both ate at the restaurant and stayed at the hotel. The hotel is beautiful, service outstanding, ambiance a delight. And, for the price, it’s great value. As to the restaurant, I’ve eaten at other Michelin starred places that have disappointed. This, on the other hand, is everything it’s cracked up to be; great food, great service, very original in every way. And, with a 42000 bottle wine cellar, you can find something at every price point you can imagine. Loved this place.
On arrival very friendly welcome by Victor and one of the owners. Fellt at home immeditely.Attention to detail is superb. Having visited many relais in FranceAtrio is one of the best I have visited. Very professional Service. The dinner was a dream with non obtrusive service and full of pleasant surprises. Breakfast in the garden was also special. Visited the Wine cellar with Jesusand was overwhelmed. the wine menu contains 400 pages. Want to return
The food was fantastic, all 12 courses BUT the head waiter did not seem very worried when served within my cerviche in an ice bowl atop a snazzy 5 plate stack I nearly swallowed a slice of hard plastic which I showed him. Lets face it, we all make mistakes but for 150 euros a head, I could have done with an apology when I left the restaurant.
We stayed here for two nights as a treat on a road trip around central Spain. Partly as a belated celebration for a big birthday.
The appeal of a 2* Michelin restaurant was attractive for a celebration and the hotel was on our route from Cordoba to Toledo. Well sort of!
The hotel is right in the heart of the Unesco world heritage site of the old town which itself is beautifully preserved.
The hotel is beautifully designed. Clean lines. Black and white calming rooms. Great beds. Deep baths. But what stands out here is not just the appearance of the hotel or its positioning. It’s the staff. The service is perfect without being over the top. Main reception is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant staff are exactly the same. Attention to detail is there without being over fussy and over the top.
We were given a tour of the wine cellar which is amazing. Over 40,000 bottles. No wonder the wine list is like an encyclopaedia.
We ate in the restaurant and had one of tasting menus. Which they changed slightly for us as neither wanted oysters. The flavours were amazing. Combinations I would never have ordered if it had not been the tasting menu. Onion ice cream in a bloody mary and cockles dish for one. Great wine pairings too. Not a cheap dinner but well worth it for the visual and culinary delights. A perfect mixture of great food, great service and a great atmosphere.
A goodie bag with water and homemade sweets to see us on the next part of the road-trip to Toledo was a nice surprise. And yes we ate them all!
