We stayed for 3 nights there and got a very positive impression of the level of service in the dinner and breakfast ! Also the pizza is definitively one of the best in Venice ( we got also there but was better in the hotel !! ). The hotel is about 25 min far from Venice Main station or parking place. One day we were in Venice by car - about 30 eur in piazzale Roma but there was a long waiting time ( 30-45 min till you get a place ) and the other we got the train in the back of the hotel ( quarto d,altino station ) which was conviniente.. room is nice and clean

We got on for one evening (a few hours), drove outside to have dinner with my wife after returned to the room, someone has stolen my wife's wallet (all documents and credit cards). The hotel personnel didn’t care about it we toll to call the police and they said you have to go to them. Bad bad bad..... don’t go to that hotel, much satisfactorily sleeps on the streets...

Response from CustomerCareIT, Direttore at Crowne Plaza Venice East-Quarto d'Altino
Responded 24 Feb 2020
Dear ODLC1, thank you for staying with us and we hope you've been able to read our responses on the other review sites you've reached out to us on. We are very sorry that you experienced this unfortunate incident and you can imagine how much your words struck us all. We regret you thought that our staff didn't care about the matter occurred, but honestly we think the correct procedure has been followed, considering the particular situation. It is true that after you came back from dinner you reported to the team which your documents had disappeared. Although only at check-out time you said that even your wallet had been stolen. Therefore, our staff immediately proposed to take you to the nearest police station, it was you to refuse our proposal saying that you would have made a report directly into the airport's police, as you had to catch a flight. We only wish that you had addressed it to us the night before, so we would have had the time to call the police and file a report together. We take any threats of theft incredibly seriously, and our thorough analysis of this incident showed that no one on our team entered your room at any point until after you had checked out. We understand your frustration, and while we can't say for sure what happened to the wallet, we can say with certainty that this was not perpetrated by any of our trusted staff members. We remain available to cooperate with the authorities as needed, and again, we're very sorry that this unfortunate event occurred during your stay. Sincerely Marina Brusa Hotel Manager

Don’t be put off by the fact this hotel promotes itself more in terms of business use as if visiting Venice you are not there much anyway and it’s more reasonable then some of the main hotels in Venice or if cheaper there you don’t get the quality in rooms or service. This hotel is perfect for having the real experience of Italy, traveling to and from the hotel to Venice. The train station is opposite the hotel but we never heard any noise during our 5 night stay, it’s a 2 min walk to the ticket office with trains running frequently 10 past the hour and 20 min to the hour to Venice, the cost being €3,55 each way/adult. Situated in a mainly residential area there is a pizza takeaway nearby less then 4 min walk. Further walking 10 min will take you into Quarto d’Altino where there are more shops, supermarkets etc. The room we had (230 view across fields) was spacious and decorated nicely, tea, coffee facilities and water supplied daily. Shampoo/shower gels, clean flannels and towels also provided with bath robes also. The was a mini bar fridge but this costs extra. Maid service everyday with a change of bed linen and cleaning of the room. The breakfast was ample of choice, including cereals, continental cheeses, meats, rolls, bread, yoghurts as well as salmon and bacon eggs, etc. omelettes or fried eggs to order and there was plenty of tea, coffee, water and juices available to. The cost was £75 per night B&B for 2 people. The beds were comfortable and extra pillows available if needed. Room service was available at additional cost, we never used this service. There is a tv in the room also although English channels were limited. We had an evening meal one evening which was delicious, we choose a vegetarian option, fried potato patty with grilled mixed vegetables and Carbonara, with wine as well this cost €37, it was delicious and presented well. The hotel has computers and internet access for use, a bar area and gym. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, nothing is too much trouble. A free bus transfer to the airport is provided by the hotel also. It was both our birthdays during this trip and the hotel and staff were generous with a cake and card on one day, a pudding with candles and a rendition of ‘happy birthday’ sang by staff on another and complimentary drinks given in the bar. All in all a lovely hotel we would recommend and definitely stay again.
