First appearances weren't too bad, reception staff friendly. Once pointed in the direction of our room, it was downhill from there! Narrow, depressing hallway to the tiny, barren and frankly depressing room. When in the rooms you can hear everything from the rooms either side of you, including the tv's and other guests going to the toilet or just talking! Sounds as though they are in the room with you! The Wi-Fi in the rooms is shocking and have had to use data trying to book excursions etc. Also the town is dead! Definetly avoid travelling here in off peak because nothing is open and there is nothing to do! Feels like a ghost town. The views arent half bad but 100% not worth the stay, would have much rather payed out for a better hotel than stay here. The whole feel of the hotel (especially the rooms) is depressing and the food although not too distasteful, was lacking in quality and quantity. Honestly would have probably enjoyed myself more having taken my chances on the bench with the local hobo. Not really any good points of this hotel that we saw, really gutted we picked this one out, would definetly not stay again.
Beautiful hotel, stunning location. Had a room with a view, beautiful, clean, good bathroom. Ate in the restaurant, very nice buffet, loved the sweets. Good value for money, it has a pool, didn’t see it, one night stay. Only gripe, very uncomfortable bed, which let the hotel down. Still recommended anyway!
We stayed here on recommendation of my son who lives in Malta and flies to Sicily for a weekend away. It is cheaper than Taormina hotels but only 5 or 10 minutes by car from Taormina and its attractions. We were originally on breakfast only but were offered half board prior to arrival at a good rate. I would recommend this as letojanni restaurants are very similar and not cheap! Our room overlooked the pool and was the same as all hotel rooms, basic but with toiletries and a shower/bath. The food we found very good with a variation each night and a wonderful fish night with amberjack and mussels, Ii could not fault the evening meal . Breakfast was a bit samey however they provide prosecco if you so desire and adequate hot and cold buffet.. There were a few negatives, parking is on a steep hill unless you pay extra, the poll was a bit sandy on the floor and we could here the autostrada with the door to the balcony open. This did not cause us sleep problems. All in all a good hotel for touring the area, Savoca 20 minutes Etna 40 minutes.Syracuse about 75 minutes. I would reccommend this hotel to British tourists as the staff speak English and I found them happy and helpful.there are 2 hotels with the 2nd one reached by a panoramic funicular which again gives good views of the area.
The view and location was great and Room semi nice. The staff wasn't that friendly, breakfast was dull with not many options, cups and stuff like that were always out, lots of plastic cups even though they say they are environment friendly, WiFi was expensive and you could hear hotels nightlife music into your room veeeeery loudly
Huge hotel complex under going lots of renovations. Beautiful views over the ocean nice pool complex... an elevator takes you to the lower level of the complex reducing the need to climb the hill to the hotel complex... a funicular provides a lift to the upper hotel... staff seem to be disinterested in guests and are reluctant to truly engage... the huge nature of the complex adds to this. ..the renovations have a long way to go.. what has been completed is very nice...

If on foot there is no option but to walk up hill some way and on your left there is an area from where you can get a funicular and walk through another hotel and stairs etc. Not good - do you really want to stay there? We were there in November - hotel manager and reception staff generally awful, we refused food - cold hot food, rotten fruit, food put out from previous meals.....our operator paid for us to est elsewhere! You are also miles from anywhere with no transport or bus system. It cost 40euros for a taxi to the nearest town. Rooms were ok but I would opt for somewhere else or you will be isolated. The hotel shop heavily overcharged for bottles of water. The last night they put on free drinks and snacks to apologise but it was too little too late. The hotel below was a building site which we had to walk through in the dark with our suitcases! Check it is finished. If you walk up the road to hotel you can go in a back entrance or taxi can take you up there - if!!!! They have opened the gate! I think the two hotels are owned by same people so assume if you walk you can still go through.
