From the moment we rang the bell to be let in, Mr. Suu met us at the top on the steps and welcomed us. After checking in, he explained the parking garage where we can park the car for our 2 night stay. After parking the car, he insisted on carrying our luggage to our room which was on the top floor, 54 steps from the entrance. Rooms 1 through 4 are on the top floor. There is no elevator for those with disabilities. We had a double bed where there were two mattresses side-by-side. One of the mattresses had to be placed on the floor because it is worn out. There is a huge sag in the middle, having no support for the back. The location of the hotel is centralized to all of the downtown locations. We would recommend this hotel for your visit. However we didn’t like Plauen. There is a Casino nearby which is sucking all of the cash out of the pockets of the people who have “hopes” of winning. Plauen felt like a sad area with no soul. A very large shopping mall has taken away the once small town center of individual shops.…

The hotel is a gem - heart in the heart of Plauen. It's centrally located on the Klostermarkt, in the heart of the town - everything you could want - historic landmarks, good restaurants, cafes, shops, public transportation - is almost at the doorstep. The hotel owners are a very warm, welcoming, gracious couple. The breakfasts are excellent and a wonderful way to start the day. The rooms are airy and spacious. Outstanding WiFi reception. Excellent television channels, The hotel is very quiet - the owners provide outstanding service and truly make their guests feel comfortable. I have now stayed here 3 or 4 times - and it is a joy! (There is no elevator, but one can always use the exercise - I know I can).

This small hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Plauen.Fantastic service and the most kind host and staff. Parking just in front of the Hotel on a public square. The owner helped us occupy a space when one got free. Marvelous breakfast and all the help and assistance one could ask for. My wife is not so well walking, so it was a bit burdensome to get up to the room on second floor as there was no lift. But that was easily off-set by the help and good service. Highly recommended!

We stayed in this wonderfully quiet and centrally located hotel on a family vacation. Upon arrival it was a bit tricky getting a parking space directly in front of the hotel but once we navigated that, it was wonderful! We did have to go searching for someone to let us in as the front door was locked, however, the owner also owns the fruit stand a couple doors down and came to let us in right away. English is not spoken fluently here but we did not have any trouble communicating at all. The rooms were clean and neatly appointed. Breakfast in the morning was more than we ever could've expected and everyone there treated us quite wonderfully. There is no elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor (which was not a problem for us but may be a deciding factor for some). Outstanding hotel and wonderful service!…
